Claims (17)

を更に含む請求項1のプリンター。 - 前記電気パルス源が直流バイアスを含む請求項2のプリンター。
- 前記熱変調器が前記ノズル孔の近くに位置するヒーターを含む請求項1のプリンター。
- 前記熱変調器が、前記ヒーターに隣接する流体チャネルを含む請求項4のプリンター。
- 前記熱変調器が、前記流体チャネルに操作的に関連する気体圧縮熱ポンプを含む請求項5のプリンター。
- 前記熱変調器が、前記ヒーターと操作的に関連する機械的片持ち梁を含む請求項4のプリンター。
- 前記熱変調器が、熱電素子を含む請求項1のプリンター。
- 前記印字ヘッドが、少なくともインチあたり600ノズルの密度を有する配列に配置された複数のノズル孔を含む請求項1のプリンター。
- 前記熱変調器が、前記ノズル孔の2分の1に関連する請求項1のプリンター。
- 液滴を形成する方法であって:
ノズル孔を含む印字ヘッドを提供するステップ;
ある温度を有し、前記ノズル孔を通り前記液体の柱を噴出させるために十分な圧力下にある液体を提供するステップ;及び
熱変調器を用い前記液体が前記ノズル孔を通って噴出するにつれて、前記液体の温度を過渡的に下げるステップ
を含む方法。 - 前記熱変調器が、熱電素子を含む請求項11の方法。
- 前記熱変調器が、気体圧縮熱ポンプを含む請求項11の方法。
- 前記熱変調器が、機械的片持ち梁を含む請求項11の方法。
- 熱変調器を用い前記液体が前記ノズル孔を通って噴出するにつれて、前記液体の温度を過渡的に下げるステップは、前記液体の温度を過渡的に下げるために吸熱化学反応を使うステップを含む請求項11の方法。
- 熱変調器を用い前記液体が前記ノズル孔を通って噴出するにつれて、前記液体の温度を過渡的に下げるステップは、前記熱変調器と電気的に通信する電気パルス源を提供するステップ、及び前記液体の過渡的温度低下を制御する前記熱変調器に、ある波形を提供するように電気パルス源を操作するステップ、を含む請求項11の方法。
- 前記熱変調器と電気的に通信する前記電気パルス源を提供するステップは、直流バイアスを含む電気パルス源を提供するステップを含む請求項16の方法。
