Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a sheet supply apparatus that supplies sheets.
In order to enable stable conveyance of the recording sheet without causing a paper jam or the like, a separation roller that reversely conveys the recording sheet that has been fed back to the separation action point, and a recording sheet that has been reversely conveyed to the separation action point There has been proposed a sheet feeding apparatus including a push-back member that pushes back to an end point (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In addition, in order to provide a low-cost sheet feeding device that does not involve a complicated mechanism, the axis of the separation roller is arranged on the downstream side of a plane passing through the center line of the feed roller substantially perpendicular to the sheet entering direction. A paper feeder has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 2).
Here, in the sheet supply apparatus that supplies a sheet, when a plurality of sheets are conveyed by a delivery roller or the like, this one sheet and the other are arranged so that only one sheet is conveyed downstream in the sheet conveying direction. Separation means for separating the sheet may be provided. Here, if another sheet is fed using a feeding roller after the other sheet is separated by the separating unit, the separating function by the separating unit is hardly exhibited.
The best mode for carrying out the present invention (hereinafter referred to as an embodiment) will be described below in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an image reading apparatus to which the present embodiment is applied. The image reading apparatus includes a
The
Further, the
Further, the
The
A
Further, the
On the other hand, the
Further, the
Furthermore, the
Here, when reading an image of a document placed on the
On the other hand, the

Subsequently, the
FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining a drive system for driving the
As shown in FIG. 1A, the
Here, in the present embodiment, the
The
Further, the
Although not shown, the

この信号処理部81は、上記ラインセンサからの出力に対してアナログ信号の処理を行うAFE(Analog Front End)82、アナログ信号をディジタル信号に変換するADC(Analog Digital Converter)83を有している。

On the other hand, the
From these various controls, control signals are output to the
Here, FIG. 4 is a diagram for explaining a conventional document conveyance mode.
The conveyance of the document is started by the
Then, the
Here, the operations of the
As shown in FIG. 5, in the present embodiment, first, the
Next, the
Next, the
Next, the
Here, the clutch 66 in the present embodiment can be regarded as a blocking unit that blocks transmission of the driving force that rotates the
Thereafter, when a document is detected by a sensor (not shown) arranged between the
On the other hand, the
Here, when a plurality of originals are conveyed by the
Specifically, the
In the present embodiment, when the
The contact pressure between the
When the conveyance of the document to the document stacking unit 11 side is started by the process of step 112, the document is no longer detected by the presence / absence detection sensor S3 that functions as a sheet detection unit (see FIG. 7F). . Then, the
Thereafter, the
On the other hand, if there is a document, the processes in and after step 103 are executed again, and the conveyance of the second document in the document bundle is started as shown in FIG. For example, as shown in FIG. 7H, when only one document is conveyed, the presence / absence detection sensor S3 does not detect the document, and the
Here, for example, as shown in FIG. 8A, the
In the present embodiment, the size of the document is grasped based on the output from the size detection sensor S1, and the passage timing is grasped based on the grasp result. Based on the passage timing, the presence / absence of the separated document is determined. By the way, when an irregularly shaped document is placed on the document stacking unit 11, the size of the document cannot be detected, and a situation in which the passage timing of the document cannot be grasped may occur. Therefore, in such a case, for example, the output result from the presence / absence detection sensor S3 when the first document is conveyed (for example, the passage time of the first document in the presence / absence detection sensor S3, the presence / absence detection sensor). S3 holds the pulse count number when the first original is detected. Then, based on the output result thus held, it is possible to grasp the document passage timing for the second and subsequent sheets.
In the present embodiment, the image reading apparatus has been described as an example. However, the configuration in the present embodiment is not limited to the image reading apparatus, and the image forming apparatus that forms an image on a recording material such as paper may be used. Can also be applied.
