Description

The present invention relates to a ducted thruster that generates thrust in a ship.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, some ships that require a large tug, such as a tugboat, are equipped with a thruster with a duct that can change a thrust direction with a high thrust. In a thruster with a duct, a duct is disposed so as to surround the propeller, and the propeller is driven by a driving source such as an engine in the ship. Since a ring-shaped duct having an airfoil cross section is disposed around the propeller, the water flow generated by the rotation of the propeller is guided by the duct, and the propulsive force of the ship is efficiently generated.

In such a ducted thruster, the pressure on the front side of the propeller blade is lower than the pressure on the rear side, and the pressure difference causes the propeller to propel forward. However, at the propeller blade tip, due to the effect of this pressure difference, a flow that flows around the propeller blade tip from the rear side to the front side also occurs, and when this flow becomes large, cavitation occurs near the blade tip.

On the other hand, in Patent Document 1, the propeller has a blade shape in the vicinity of the blade tip as a symmetrical airfoil, and the pitch angle is set to be constant so that the angle of attack with respect to the flow in the vicinity of the blade tip is substantially zero. As a result, the pressure difference between the front side and the rear side in the vicinity of the blade tip is reduced, and the generation of a flow that goes around the propeller blade tip is suppressed, so that the occurrence of cavitation is prevented.
JP-A-8-40371

However, in the case of the configuration disclosed in Patent Document 1, since the pressure difference between the front side and the rear side becomes small near the tip of the propeller blade, the propulsive force generated in the propeller itself due to the pressure difference is reduced. The propulsion efficiency is lowered as a whole.

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a ducted thruster with good propulsion efficiency.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and a thruster with a marine duct according to the present invention includes a propeller in which propeller blades project radially outward from an outer peripheral surface of a propeller boss connected to a drive source, And a duct disposed so as to surround the propeller, and a wing tip portion on the radially outer side of the propeller blade has a shape bent locally toward the rear.

According to the said structure, the flow which goes around a blade tip from the back surface of a propeller blade to a front surface will be suppressed by the blade tip part bent locally toward back becoming a wall. As a result, the occurrence of cavitation can be prevented, and the pressure difference between the front surface and the rear surface at the blade tip can be maintained, and the propulsion force of the propeller can be prevented from being lowered. Therefore, the propulsion efficiency of the thruster with duct can be increased.

The wing tip is formed by joining a wing tip plate to a wing tip of a wing body projecting radially outward from the outer peripheral surface of the propeller boss, and the wing tip plate is an inner circumference of the duct. You may join to the said wing | blade main body with the front-end | tip facing back so that a surface may be followed.

According to the above configuration, since the blade end plate only needs to be joined to the blade body, it is possible to easily form a special propeller having a bent blade end portion, and the flexibility of the bending shape of the blade end portion. Will also improve.

The wing tip may have a surface that is substantially parallel to the inner peripheral surface of the duct.

According to the said structure, since the surface which becomes substantially parallel to a duct internal peripheral surface is provided in the blade tip part, while ensuring the part which becomes a wall curved toward the back long, toward a radial direction outer side It is possible to sufficiently secure the radial length of the blade body that is the protruding portion.

The tip of the wing tip may be positioned behind each part of the wing main body that protrudes radially outward from the outer peripheral surface of the propeller boss.

According to the said structure, it becomes possible to fully prevent the flow which goes around from the back surface of a propeller blade to the front surface through the front-end | tip of a blade end part.

As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, the occurrence of cavitation can be prevented and the propulsion force of the propeller can be prevented from being lowered, and the propulsion efficiency is improved as a whole.

Embodiments according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

(First embodiment)
FIG. 1 is a front view of a thruster 1 with a marine duct according to a first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a side view of the marshalling duct thruster 1 shown in FIG. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the marine ducted thruster 1 includes a strut 3 extending downward from the bottom 2 of the marine vessel. A pod 4 having a circular cross section and extending rearward (downstream) is connected to the lower portion of the strut 3. A propeller 5 that generates a water flow is rotatably connected to the rear portion of the pod 4. The propeller 5 is surrounded by a duct 6 disposed behind the strut 3.

In the internal space of the strut 3, a vertical rotary shaft 11 is disposed so as to be rotatably supported by a bearing 12, and a propeller prime mover 9 (drive source) in the ship is disposed at the upper end of the vertical rotary shaft 11. It is connected to the output shaft of the power transmission. The lower end portion of the vertical rotation shaft 11 extends to the inside of the pod 4. In the internal space of the pod 4, a horizontal rotating shaft 14 extending rearward is disposed in a state of being rotatably supported by a bearing 15. A lower end portion of the vertical rotating shaft 11 and a front end portion of the horizontal rotating shaft 14 are connected via a bevel gear 13 so that power can be transmitted. The rear end portion of the horizontal rotating shaft 14 is connected to the propeller 5. With such a configuration, the propeller 5 is rotated by the rotational power of the propeller prime mover 9.

The strut 3 is connected to the bottom 2 of the ship through a bearing 10 and a seal member 7 so as to be rotatable around the vertical rotation shaft 11 and generates a driving force for rotating the strut 3 itself. 8 is connected. Therefore, the strut 3 is rotated around the vertical rotation shaft 11 by the rotational power of the turning prime mover 8, and the pod 4, the propeller 5 and the duct 6 are turned integrally therewith, and the thrust generation direction can be changed.

The duct 6 is ring-shaped and has an airfoil cross section. The inner peripheral surface of the front end portion 6a of the duct 6 gradually increases in diameter toward the front (upstream side), and the inner peripheral surface of the main body portion 6b other than the front end portion 6a has substantially the same diameter. The duct 6 accommodates the rear portion of the pod 4, and the front portion of the pod 4 projects forward from the duct 6.

The propeller 5 includes a propeller boss 16 connected to the rear end portion of the horizontal rotating shaft 14 and a propeller blade 17 projecting radially outward from the outer peripheral surface of the propeller boss 16. The cross section of the propeller blade 17 shown in FIG. 2 represents a rake distribution in which the skew line connecting the points where the thickness is the maximum in the portion where the radial distance from the propeller labs 16 is the same is cut in the radial direction. . The propeller blade 17 has a blade body 18 that protrudes radially outward from the outer peripheral surface of the propeller boss 16, and a blade end plate 19 joined to the blade tip of the blade body 18. The blade end plate 19 is joined to the blade main body 18 by welding or adhesion so as to protrude rearward along the inner peripheral surface of the main body portion 6 b of the duct 6. The blade end plate 19 may be formed on the blade tip of the blade body 18 by casting. Therefore, the blade tip portion 20 of the propeller blade 17 has a shape bent locally toward the rear along the inner peripheral surface of the main body portion 6 b of the duct 6.

The blade end plate 19 is disposed so that the outer surface thereof is substantially parallel to the inner peripheral surface of the main body portion 6b of the duct 6, and the blade main body 18 and the blade end plate 19 are joined at an angle in a V-shaped cross section. ing. The front end 19a of the blade end plate 19, that is, the rear end 19a, is located rearward of each part of the blade main body 18, and the front end of the blade end plate 19 does not protrude forward from the blade end of the blade main body 18. Continuously joined.

According to the configuration described above, the flow of the propeller blade 17 that wraps around the tip of the propeller blade 17 from the rear surface (left side surface in FIG. 2) to the front surface (right side surface in FIG. 2) bends backward. The blade end plate 19 becomes a wall and is suppressed. As a result, the occurrence of cavitation can be prevented, and the pressure difference between the front surface and the rear surface at the blade tip 20 can be maintained, and the propulsion force of the propeller blade 17 can be prevented from being lowered. Therefore, the propulsion efficiency of the ducted thruster 1 can be increased. Further, since the wing end plate 19 may be joined to the wing body 18 by welding or adhesion or the like, the special propeller 5 having a bent wing end portion 20 can be easily formed. The degree of freedom of the bending shape is also improved.

(Second Embodiment)
FIG. 3 is a partial cross-sectional side view of a marine ducted thruster 35 according to the second embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 3, the protruding cylindrical portion 31 protrudes rearward from the bottom of the hull 30, and a horizontal rotating shaft 32 connected to a prime mover (not shown) penetrates the protruding cylindrical portion 31 rearward, and the horizontal rotating shaft thereof The propeller 21 of the ducted thruster 35 is connected to 32. That is, the ducted thruster 35 of this embodiment is a line shaft type.

The propeller 21 includes a propeller boss 22 connected to the rear end portion of the horizontal rotating shaft 32, and a propeller blade 23 that protrudes radially outward from the outer peripheral surface of the propeller boss 22. The cross section of the propeller blade 17 shown in FIG. 2 represents the rake distribution. The blade end portion 24 of the propeller blade 23 has a shape that is greatly curved locally toward the rear along the inner peripheral surface of the main body portion 6 b of the duct 6. The blade tip 24 has a surface that is substantially parallel to the inner peripheral surface of the main body 6 b of the duct 6. The tip 24 a of the blade tip 24 is positioned behind each part of the main body of the propeller blade 23.

According to the configuration described above, the flow of the propeller blade 23 that wraps around the tip of the propeller blade 23 from the rear surface (left side surface in FIG. 3) to the front surface (right side surface in FIG. 3) bends backward. The wing tip 24 becomes a wall and is suppressed. Accordingly, the propulsion efficiency of the ducted thruster 35 can be increased.

(Third embodiment)
FIG. 4 is a partial sectional side view of a marine ducted thruster 40 according to a third embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 4, the ducted thruster 40 of this embodiment employs a so-called variable pitch propeller 41. In this propeller 41, a propeller blade 43 is detachably attached to the propeller boss 42. The propeller blade 43 includes a blade body 43b extending radially outward, a root portion 43a provided in a flange shape on the radially inner side of the blade body 43b, and a blade tip projecting rearward on the radially outer side of the blade body 43b. Part 43c. The blade tip portion 43c has a surface that is substantially parallel to the inner peripheral surface of the main body portion 6b of the duct 6, and the tip 43d thereof is located behind the respective portions of the blade main body 43b.

The propeller blade 43 is detachably attached to the propeller boss 42 at the root portion 43a. When the propeller blades 43 are attached to the propeller labs 42, maintenance is performed between the outermost surface of the propeller blades 43 in the radial direction and the inner peripheral surface of the duct 6 for moving and removing the propeller blades 43 in the radial direction. The clearance δ is formed.

According to the configuration described above, the flow of the propeller blade 43 that wraps around the tip of the propeller blade 43 from the rear surface (left side surface in FIG. 4) to the front surface (right side surface in FIG. 4) bends backward. The wing tip 43c becomes a wall and is suppressed. Therefore, the propulsion efficiency of the ducted thruster 40 can be increased. In particular, in the case of a variable pitch propeller, a large clearance δ for maintenance is formed, but the propulsive force can be effectively improved by the blade tip portion 43c of the present embodiment.

As described above, the thruster with a marine duct according to the present invention has an excellent effect of improving the propulsion efficiency, and it is beneficial to be widely applied to a marine vessel propulsion apparatus capable of exhibiting the significance of this effect.
