試験方法としては、次のものが挙げられる:
比較例Aは、次の手順に従って調製した:気相反応器を用意した。エチレン、水素、クロム系触媒、N2、イソペンタンおよびヘキサンを連続的に反応器に供給した。気相反応器で重合反応を行い、それによって第一成分を生成した。この第一成分は、約0.961g/cm3の密度および約0.8g/10分のメルトインデックス(I2)を有する高密度ポリエチレンホモポリマーである。その第一成分を不活性雰囲気条件下でパージビンに連続的に移送し、その後、中間貯蔵ビンに移送した。その後、その第一成分を押出機に移送してペレット化した。ペレット化前に、表IIに示すようにCarbowax(商標)400およびIrganox(商標)1010を、その押出機に、注入口を通してその押出機に沿って添加し、前記エチレンポリマーである第一成分にブレンドした。ダイプレートを通してそのポリマーを押出し、ペレット化し、冷却した。比較例Aの樹脂をそれらの特性について試験した。そうした特性を表IIおよび図2に示す。
比較例Bは、次の手順に従って調製した:気相反応器を用意した。エチレン、水素、クロム系触媒、N2、イソペンタンおよびヘキサンを連続的に反応器に供給した。気相反応器で重合反応を行い、それによって第一成分を生成した。この第一成分は、約0.961g/cm3の密度および約0.8g/10分のメルトインデックス(I2)を有する、米国、ミシガン州のThe Dow(商標)Chemical Companyから商品名Unival(商標)DMDH−6400 NT 7で市販もされている、高密度ポリエチレンホモポリマーである。その第一成分を不活性雰囲気条件下でパージビンに連続的に移送し、その後、中間貯蔵ビンに移送した。その後、その第一成分を押出機に移送してペレット化した。ペレット化前に、表Iに示すようにIrganox(商標)1010を、その押出機に、注入口を通してその押出機に沿って添加し、前記エチレンポリマーである第一成分にブレンドした。ダイプレートを通してそのポリマーを押出し、ペレット化し、冷却した。比較例Bの樹脂をそれらの特性について試験した。そうした特性を表IIおよび図2に示す。
Claims (22)
- 0.940から0.980g/cm3の範囲の密度を有する高密度ポリエチレンである第一成分;
ポリエチレングリコールである第二成分と;
3−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオン酸オクタデシルである第三成分と;
を含む、高密度ポリエチレン組成物であって、
ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で0時間の促進老化で約−2.5未満の黄色度指数を有する高密度ポリエチレン組成物。 - ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で10時間の促進老化で約−2.5未満の黄色度指数を有する、請求項1に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物。
- ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で20時間の促進老化で約−2.5未満の黄色度指数を有する、請求項1に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物。
- ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で30時間の促進老化で約−2.5未満の黄色度指数を有する、請求項1に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物。
- 100℃で0時間の促進老化と100℃で2時間の促進老化の間での黄色度指数が、(0.18X−4.94)未満であるか、(0.18X−4.94)であり、前記式中のXが、ASTM D−6290に従ってオーブン内で100℃での促進老化時間の数または分数である、請求項1に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物。
- ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で0時間の促進老化で約−4未満の黄色度指数を有する、請求項1に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物。
- ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で0時間の促進老化で−4から−6の範囲の黄色度指数を有する、請求項1に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物。
- 前記第一成分の100万部につき前記第二成分の150から1000部を含む、請求項1に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物。
- 前記第一成分の100万部につき前記第二成分の150から200部を含む、請求項1に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物。
- 前記第一成分の100万部につき前記第三成分の約1000部未満を含む、請求項1に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物。
- 0.940から0.980g/cm3の範囲の密度を有する高密度ポリエチレンである第一成分;
ポリエチレングリコールである第二成分と;
3−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオン酸オクタデシルである第三成分と;
から本質的に成る、高密度ポリエチレン組成物であって、
ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で0時間の促進老化で約−4未満の黄色度指数を有する高密度ポリエチレン組成物。 - 0.940から0.980g/cm3の範囲の密度を有する高密度ポリエチレンである第一成分と;
ポリエチレングリコールである第二成分と;
液体3−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオン酸オクタデシルである第三成分と;
の溶融ブレンド反応生成物を含む、高密度ポリエチレン組成物であって、
ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で0時間の促進老化で約−2.5未満の黄色度指数を有する高密度ポリエチレン組成物。 - ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で0時間の促進老化で約−2.5未満の黄色度指数を有する高密度ポリエチレン組成物を製造するためのプロセスであって、
0.940から0.980g/cm3の範囲の密度を有する高密度ポリエチレンである第一成分を供給する段階と;
ポリエチレングリコールである第二成分を供給する段階と;
3−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオン酸オクタデシルである第三成分を供給する段階と;
前記第二および第三成分を前記第一成分にブレンドし、それによってブレンドを作る段階;
前記ブレンドをペレット化する段階と;
それによって前記高密度ポリエチレン組成物のペレットを作る段階と
を含むプロセス。 - ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で10時間の促進老化で約−4未満の黄色度指数を有する、請求項13に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物を製造するためのプロセス。
- 100℃で0時間の促進老化と100℃で2時間の促進老化の間での黄色度指数が、(0.18X−4.94)未満であるか、(0.18X−4.94)であり、前記式中のXが、ASTM D−6290に従ってオーブン内で100℃での促進老化時間の数または分数である、請求項13に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物を製造するためのプロセス。
- ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で0時間の促進老化で−4から−6の範囲の黄色度指数を有する、請求項13に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物を製造するためのプロセス。
- 前記第一成分の100万部につき前記第二成分の150から1000部を含む、請求項13に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物を製造するためのプロセス。
- 前記第一成分の100万部につき前記第二成分の150から200部を含む、請求項13に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物を製造するためのプロセス。
- 前記第一成分の100万部につき前記第三成分の約1000部未満を含む、請求項13に記載の高密度ポリエチレン組成物を製造するためのプロセス。
- 成形された高密度ポリエチレン組成物を含む物品であって、
前記組成物が、
0.940から0.980g/cm3の範囲の密度を有する高密度ポリエチレンである第一成分と;
ポリエチレングリコールである第二成分と;
3−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオン酸オクタデシルである第三成分と;
を含み;
前記高密度ポリエチレン組成物が、ASTM D−6290に従って100℃で0時間の促進老化で約−2.5未満の黄色度指数を有する、
物品。 - 成形された高密度ポリエチレン組成物を含む容器(container device)であって、
前記組成物が、
0.940から0.980g/cm3の範囲の密度を有する高密度ポリエチレンである第一成分と;
ポリエチレングリコールである第二成分と;
3−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオン酸オクタデシルである第三成分と;
を含み;
前記高密度ポリエチレン組成物が、ASTM D−6290に従って約−2.5未満の黄色度指数を有する、
