Claims (34)
- 椎骨部材を長手方向部材に連結させるためのコネクタであって、
軸部およびアンカ頭部を備えるアンカと、
前記アンカに取り付けられ、共通軸線に沿って整列させられたチャネル及び空洞を備える本体であって、前記チャネルが、前記長手方向部材を受け入れるように寸法決めされ、前記チャネルおよび前記空洞が、前記本体の対向する側に形成される本体と、
前記長手方向部材を前記チャネル内に維持するように構成された締結具と、
前記空洞内に収容され、前記アンカの前記頭部を収容するための受け入れ領域を形成する圧縮要素とを備え、前記圧縮要素が、前記長手方向部材と接触するように前記チャネル内へと少なくとも部分的に延び、これにより前記圧縮要素は、前記締結具が前記長手方向部材を前記チャネル内に維持するとき、前記長手方向部材によって変位させられて前記アンカ頭部と接触させられ、
前記本体が、変形可能な側壁を備え、前記側壁が、前記アンカ頭部を前記空洞内に挿入可能な第1の状態と、前記圧縮要素および前記アンカ頭部が前記空洞に保持される第2の状態との間で移動可能である、コネクタ。 - 前記圧縮要素が、前記本体および前記アンカとは別個の部材であり、前記圧縮要素は、前記変形可能な側壁が前記第1の状態にあるときに前記空洞内に挿入可能である、請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記圧縮要素が、前記本体の一部として形成される、請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記締結具が前記長手方向部材を前記チャネル内に維持する際、前記圧縮要素は、前記長手方向部材によって変位させられて前記アンカ頭部と接触するときに弾性変形可能である、請求項3に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記締結具が前記長手方向部材を前記チャネル内に維持する際、前記圧縮要素の少なくとも一部は、前記長手方向部材によって変位させられて前記アンカ頭部と接触するときに前記本体に対して降伏する、請求項3に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記締結具が前記長手方向部材を前記チャネル内に維持する際、前記圧縮要素は、前記長手方向部材によって変位させられて前記アンカ頭部と接触するときに前記本体から分離される、請求項5に記載のコネクタ。

前記アンカに取り付けられ、一対の直立アーム間に形成されたチャネルを有するサドルを備え、前記チャネルが前記長手方向部材を受け入れるように寸法決めされる本体と、
前記長手方向部材を前記チャネル内に維持するように構成された締結具と、
前記本体の一部として形成され、前記直立アーム間に懸架される圧縮要素とを備え、前記締結具が前記長手方向部材を前記チャネル内に維持するとき、前記圧縮要素は、前記チャネル内へと延びて前記長手方向部材に接触し、前記圧縮要素は、前記アンカの前記頭部を収容するように前記チャネルに対向する受け入れ領域を形成し、
前記長手方向部材は、前記締結具が前記長手方向部材を前記チャネル内に維持するとき、前記圧縮要素を変位させて前記アンカ頭部と接触させる、コネクタ。 - 前記圧縮要素は、前記長手方向部材によって変位させられるときに弾性変形可能である、請求項7に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記圧縮要素は、前記長手方向部材によって変位させられるときに塑性変形可能である、請求項7に記載のコネクタ。

前記空洞を、前記椎骨アンカの前記頭部が前記本体の外側から前記空洞内に入ることを可能にする第1の寸法から、前記椎骨アンカの前記頭部を前記空洞内に保持する第2の寸法へと調整する工程とを含む方法。 - 前記椎骨アンカの前記頭部を前記受け入れ領域内に位置決めする前記工程の前に、前記圧縮部材を前記空洞内に挿入する工程をさらに含む、請求項13に記載の方法。

前記力が前記長手方向ロッドを前記チャネル内に維持するときに前記圧縮要素を変位させて前記頭部と接触させる工程とを含む方法。 - 前記椎骨アンカに枢動式に取り付けられた前記本体の向きを決める前記工程は、前記圧縮要素を前記本体内の前記チャネル内に延びるように位置決めする、請求項17に記載の方法。
