Abstract
Description
Claims (17)
- ルーメンそれぞれに延長チューブを接続するためのトリプル・ルーメン・カテーテルのためのハブであって、
末端と、中央セクションと、基端とを有するハブ本体を備え、
上記ハブは、カテーテルの基端を収容する末端開口と、それぞれのルーメンの末端を収容する3つの基端開口とを含み、
上記ハブは、3つのルーメンのそれぞれに関連付けられた末端開口の基端に3つの内部開口と、3つの内部開口のそれぞれ1つと、3つの基端開口のそれぞれ1つとの間を連通する3つの通路とを含む
ことを特徴とするハブ。 - 上記ハブ本体は、中央セクションの対向する側部に1組の接合ウィングを含み、
外表面及び角が、患者の不快さを最小にするように丸められている
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハブ。 - 底面は、基端のハブ本体端部から末端側に伸びる浅いチャネルを含む
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハブ。 - 予め成形されたハブ本体において、
基端開口の内径は、3つの延長チューブの外径より大きく、
末端開口の内径は、カテーテルの基端の外径より大きい
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハブ。 - 3つの内部開口の直径は、それぞれに関連付けられた3つのカテーテル・ルーメンの内径にほぼ等しく、
通路の基端の直径は、関連付けられたそれぞれ3つの延長チューブの内径にほぼ等しい
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハブ。 - 上記通路の直径は、基端からそれぞれの内部開口へ次第に減少する
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のハブ。 - 3つの通路の真ん中は、基端において小さい角度で末端開口の軸から上方を向く
ことと特徴とする請求項1に記載のハブ。 - 3つの通路は、ほぼ同一平面上にあり、
2つの外側の通路は、基端のハブ本体の垂直方向の中央面から約13°のそれぞれの角度で配置され、
通路は、ハブ本体の上方から見た場合に、他の通路に重ならず、
中央の通路は、基端において水平方向から約5°の角度で上方に傾斜する
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のハブ。 - トリプル・ルーメン・カテーテルと、3つの延長チューブと、ハブとのアセンブリであって、
少なくとも1つの基端部と、そこから伸びる3つのルーメンとを含むカテーテルと、
上記カテーテルの3つのルーメンの選択された1つに関連付けられた3つの延長チューブの各々と、
上記カテーテルの基端部を上記3つの延長チューブの末端部に接続し、各延長チューブと上記カテーテルの3つのルーメンそれぞれの選択された1つとの間で伸びる通路を備えて流体の流通を密閉して確立するハブ本体とを備え、
上記ハブ本体は、カテーテルの基端部を末端開口に収容し、上記カテーテルの3つのルーメンそれぞれの1つに連通する内部開口を備え、
上記ハブ通路は、内部開口それぞれの1つから、延長チューブの末端部のそれぞれが収容されるそれぞれの基端開口にまで伸び、
通路の中央は、基端側へ又水平方向から小さい角度で上方へ伸び、通路の外側の1つは、基端側へ又上記ハブ本体を通る垂直方向の中央面からそれぞれの小さい角度で横方向の外方へ伸び、
通路に関し、またそれぞれの延長チューブの末端部に関して近接した配置を可能にして、その結果、上記ハブ本体の大きさを最小にする
ことを特徴とするアセンブリ。 - 上記ハブ本体は、カテーテルの基端部及び延長チューブの末端部に関して挿入成形されている
ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のアセンブリ。 - 上記カテーテルの基端は、2つの小さいルーメンの短い長さ分を露出させるように、薄く剥がされている
ことを特徴とする請求項10に記載のアセンブリ。 - 上記ハブ本体は、中央部に関して対向する側部に1組の接合ウィングを含み、
外面及び角が、患者の不快さを最小にするように丸められている
ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のアセンブリ。 - 上記底面は、ハブ本体の基端側端部から末端側へ伸びる浅いチャネルを含む
ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のアセンブリ。 - 予め形成されたハブ本体において、基端開口の内径は、3つの延長チューブの外径より大きく、末端開口の内径は、カテーテル基端の外径より大きい
ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のアセンブリ。 - 3つの内部開口の直径は、関連付けられた3つのカテーテルそれぞれのルーメンの内径にほぼ等しく、通路の基端の直径は、関連付けられた3つの延長チューブそれぞれの内径にほぼ等しい
ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のアセンブリ。 - 上記通路の直径は、基端からそれぞれの内部開口まで次第に減少し、
上記3つの通路は、末端においてほぼ平行であり、基端において互いにより大きい角をなす
ことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のアセンブリ。 - 上記3つの通路は、ほぼ同一平面上にあり、2つの外側通路は、基端において上記ハブ本体の垂直方向の中央面からそれぞれ約13°の角度で配置され、
通路は、ハブ本体を上方から見た場合に、他の通路部分に重なり合うことがなく、
中央通路は、基端において、水平方向から約5°の角度で上方に傾斜する
ことを特徴とする請求項16に記載のアセンブリ。
