Claims (43)
- 胃腸消化管へエネルギを送る器具において:
少なくとも1の拡張可能部材と、前記拡張可能部材から延在するブリッジ部材とを具える本体部と;
エネルギを発生するように構成されたエネルギ送出器と;
前記本体部に配設され、前記エネルギ送出器に連結された刺激部材と;
を具え、前記刺激部材が、対象組織の近くに配置されて前記エネルギ送出器から前記対象組織へエネルギを向けるように構成されていることを特徴とする器具。 - 請求項1に記載の器具において、前記拡張可能部材が、前記ブリッジ部材より大きい外形寸法を有する胃滞留部を具え、前記胃滞留部が幽門弁を通る前記胃滞留部の通路を防げるように構成されていることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項2に記載の器具において、前記外形寸法が8mmより大きいことを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項1に記載の器具において、前記刺激部材が前記拡張可能部材上に配置されることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項1に記載の器具において、前記刺激部材が前記ブリッジ部材上に配置されることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項2に記載の器具において、前記本体部の外側面の少なくとも一部が、組織係合部を規定し、前記刺激部材が前記組織係合部近くに配置されることを特徴とする器具。

- 請求項1に記載の器具がさらに、前記本体部又は前記刺激部材から放出される治療物質を具えることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項21に記載の器具において、前記治療物質が薬剤であることを特徴とする器具。
- 胃腸消化管へエネルギを送る器具において:
少なくとも1の拡張可能部材と、前記拡張可能部材から延在するブリッジ部材とを具える本体部と;
前記本体部に配設された刺激部材と;
を具え、前記刺激部材は少なくとも1のセンサであり、前記センサがトリガ状態を検出すると、前記本体部の少なくとも一部分の大きさが変わるように構成されていることを特徴とする器具。 - 請求項23に記載の器具において、前記拡張可能部材が、前記ブリッジ部材より大きい外形寸法を有する胃滞留部を具え、前記胃滞留部が幽門弁を通る前記胃滞留部の通路を防げるように構成されていることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項23に記載の器具において、前記ブリッジ部材が幽門弁の長さにわたるように構成されていることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項23に記載の器具において、前記本体部が第2の拡張可能部材を具え、前記ブリッジ部材が第1の拡張可能部材と前記第2の拡張可能部材の間に延在することを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項26に記載の器具において、前記刺激部材が前記第2の拡張可能部材上に配置されることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項26に記載の器具において、前記第2の拡張可能部材が自然な蠕動によって幽門弁を通過するように構成されていることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項26に記載の器具において、少なくとも1の前記第1の拡張可能部材、前記ブリッジ部材、及び前記第2の拡張可能部材が、胃腸消化管内に存在している間、形状を変えるように構成されていることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項23に記載の器具がさらに、少なくとも1のセンサを具え、前記センサがトリガ状態を検出すると、前記本体部の少なくとも一部分の大きさが変わるように構成されていることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項23に記載の器具がさらに、胃の中に延在するカテーテル器具を取り付けて、前記器具を調整又は変更する取り付け手段を具えることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項23に記載の器具において、前記拡張可能部材が膨張可能であることを特徴とする器具。

- 請求項35に記載の器具において、前記治療物質が薬剤であることを特徴とする器具。
- 胃腸疾患を治療する方法において:
少なくとも1の拡張可能部材と、前記拡張可能部材から延在するブリッジ部材とを具える本体部と、エネルギを発生させるように構成されたエネルギ送出器と、前記本体部に配設され、前記エネルギ送出器に連結された刺激部材とを具える胃腸消化管へエネルギを送る器具を進ませて、前記ブリッジ部材が患者の幽門弁を通って延在するように前記刺激部材を対象組織の近くに配置するように構成して、前記エネルギ送出器から患者の胃内の前記対象組織へエネルギを向けるステップと;
前記器具が幽門弁内に保持されるように、胃内の前記拡張可能部材を幽門弁に近接するように拡張させるステップと;
前記刺激部材を通して前記器具に近接する組織へエネルギを与えるステップと;
を具えることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項37に記載の方法において、エネルギを与えるステップが、胃の幽門弁の組織へエネルギを断続的に与えるステップを具えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項37に記載の方法において、エネルギを与えるステップが、胃前庭部の組織へエネルギを断続的に与えるステップを具えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項37に記載の方法において、エネルギを与えるステップが、上部十二指腸の組織へエネルギを断続的に与えるステップを具えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項37に記載の方法において、エネルギを与えるステップが、高周波、超音波、マイクロ波、低温、レーザ、電気、機械および熱エネルギから成る群から選択されたエネルギを与えるステップを具えることを特徴とする方法。
- 肥満を治療する方法において:
ルーメンを規定し、少なくとも1の拡張可能部材と、前記拡張可能部材から延在するブリッジ部材とを具える本体部と、前記本体部に配設された刺激部材とを具え、前記刺激部材は少なくとも1のセンサである胃腸消化管へエネルギを送る器具を、前記ブリッジ部材が患者の幽門弁を通って延在するように進ませるステップと;
前記器具が幽門弁内に保持されるように、胃内の前記拡張可能部材を幽門弁に近接するように拡張させるステップと;
トリガ状態を検出する前記少なくとも1のセンサに応答して前記ルーメンの大きさを変えるステップと;
を具えることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項42に記載の方法において、前記ルーメンの大きさが、前記少なくとも1のセンサによって食物が検出されたときに小さくなることを特徴とする方法。
