からなる方法であり、
使用される圧力センサの構成部材および使用方法は、当業者によく知られており、例えば、MEMSユニットはアメリカ特許No.6,890,300あるいはNo.6,939,299で公開されている。
他の実施例では、第一詰物21Aと第二詰物21B間のスペースは、色彩または臭気発生機能の添加された液体または生理食塩水で満たされており、第一詰物がダメになったり、収縮したり、漏洩した場合に早期に発見できる構成となっている。
(A)細長いカテーテル鞘25内側に取り出し可能に取り付けられた注入チューブ23を備えたインフレイタブル(膨張式)胃内詰物装置19を提供するもので、胃内詰物装置19は、例えば、お互いに固定された少なくとも2つの柔軟性インフレイタブル(膨張式)詰物22A、22B、と、任意の安全部材22Cとからなり、胃40の内部の容量にあわせて膨張可能な第一詰物22Aの、少なくともある部分は生物分解性材料で作られ、
(B)口を通じて胃40へカテーテル鞘25を導入し、
(C)カテーテル鞘25から出した胃内詰物装置19を胃40の中へ配送し、
(D)注入チューブ23を介して、ボリュームを増加させるための決められた量の流体、塩水、あるいは他の物質を注入して詰物22A、22Bを膨張させ、
(E) 注入チューブ23を胃40から離してさらに口を通して取り出す。
Claims (12)
- 胃の容量を縮小することにより肥満患者を治療するダブルバルーン胃内詰物装置は、細長い流体流入部材で先端バルーンに固定されている基部膨張可能バルーンを含み、流体注入部材は第一管腔と第二管腔を備えており、第一管腔は、基部バルーンと流体のコミュニケーション(相互移入)するための第一開口部を備え、また第二管腔は、先端バルーンと流体のコミュニケーション(相互移入)するための第二開口部を備えていることを特徴とする胃内詰物装置。
- 前記胃内詰物装置は、更に少なくとも一つの放射線不透過性標識からなり、少なくとも一つの放射線不透過性標識は、好ましくは細長い流体注入部材の基部に位置することを特徴とする請求項l記載の胃内詰物装置。
- 前記胃内詰物装置は、取り出しカテーテルに結合するよう構成されている少なくとも一つの放射線不透過性標識に位置する取り出しループを含むものであり、好ましくは約1mmから10mmの直径を備えることを特徴とする請求項2記載の胃内詰物装置。
- 前記ループは、凹部に位置するが、基部バルーンが実質的に膨張している場合には取り出しカテーテルにアクセス可能であることを特徴とする請求項3記載の胃内詰物装置。
- 前記胃内詰物装置は、更に、細長い流体注入部材の先端に位置する放射線不透過性標識を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか記載の胃内詰物装置。
- 前記基部バルーンは、実質的に先端バルーンより大きいことを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか記載の胃内詰物装置。
- 前記ダブルバルーン詰物の軸全長は、約100mmから約300mmであり、好ましくは、約150mmから200mmのダブルバルーン詰物の軸全長を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれか記載の胃内詰物装置。
- 前記バルーンの壁面の厚さは、約0.2mmから約1.0mmであり、好ましくは約0.3mmから約0.5mmであることを特徴とする請求項l乃至7記載ののいずれか記載の胃内詰物装置。
- 前記二つのバルーン間の距離は、約10mmから40mmであり、好ましくは、約20mmから30mmの二つのバルーン間の距離を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれか記載の胃内詰物装置。
- 前記流体注入部材は、約1mmから6mmの内径を備え、好ましくは3mmから5mmの内径であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至9のいずれか記載の胃内詰物装置。
- 前記流体注入部材の壁面の厚さは、約0.2mmから約2.0mmであり、好ましくは約0.5mmから1.5mmの壁面の厚さを備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至10のいずれか記載の胃内詰物装置。
- 前記基部バルーンは、約100ccから600ccの空間体積に膨張可能であり、好ましくは、約300ccから500ccの空間体積であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか記載の胃内詰物装置。
