Abstract
Description
比較例1では、E.I.デュポン・ドゥ・ヌムール・アンド・カンパニー(E.I.du Pont de Nemours and Company)から登録商標ケブラー(Kevlar)KM2(登録商標)の下に入手できる、フィラメントあたり線密度が1.66dtexで、縦糸および横糸双方の方向で13.4末端/cmの構造である、660dtexの高引張り強さポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)連続フィラメント糸から織布の層が作られる。織布で使用される660dtexアラミドの引張り強さは25グラム/dtexであり、繊維密度は1.44グラム/cm3である。約15”×15”サイズの21層の布帛を縁周辺で縫い合わせて、千鳥掛けして総面密度約3.8kg/m2の複合構造を形成する。次にアセンブリーをMIL−STD−662E試験基準に従って17グレインの断片に対して試験し、V50結果は1750フィート/秒である。

Claims (20)
- デニールあたり少なくとも15グラム(gpd)の平均フィラメント強力、少なくとも500gpdの平均フィラメント弾性率、少なくとも1.6g/ccの平均フィラメント密度、30〜100mmの平均フィラメント長、および0.1〜10のフィラメントあたり平均フィラメントデニール(dpf)によって特徴づけられるポリピリダゾール短繊維を含んでなり、実質的にマトリックスを含まない不織構造体。
- ポリピリダゾール繊維が20dl/gを超える固有粘度を有する請求項1に記載の構造体。
- ポリピリダゾール繊維が25dl/gを超える固有粘度を有する請求項1に記載の構造体。
- ポリピリダゾール繊維が28dl/gを超える固有粘度を有する請求項1に記載の構造体。
- ポリピリダゾールがポリ[2,6−ジイミダゾ[4,5−b:4,5−e]−ピリジニレン−1,4(2,5−ジヒドロキシ)フェニレン)である請求項1に記載の構造体。
- 総繊維の15重量%までの量のアラミド繊維をさらに含んでなる請求項1に記載の構造体。
