Abstract
Description
以下の非限定的な実施例において、以下の試験方法を使用して、報告される種々の特性および性質を求めた。ASTMは、米国材料試験協会(American Society of Testing Materials)を意味する。TAPPIは紙パルプ技術協会(Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industry)を意味する。
これらの実施例では、紙のLRVに対するカレンダー処理の影響を実証する。
CSFが246mlであり、相加平均長さ0.36mm、長さ加重平均長さ0.80mm、および重さ加重平均長さ1.08mmである広葉樹パルプを使用したことを除けば、比較例Aおよび実施例1に関して前述したようにしてこれらの紙を作製した。
CSFが360mlであり、相加平均長さ1.02mm、長さ加重平均長さ2.85mm、および重さ加重平均長さ3.74mmである針葉樹パルプを使用したことを除けば、対応する比較例Aおよび実施例1に関して前述したようにして、比較例D〜Eの紙試料を作製した。比較例Dは抄紙後のものであり、比較例Eはハードカレンダー処理を行った。
これらの実施例では、本発明の範囲外にある重さ加重平均長さを有する針葉樹パルプを使用した木材パルプ紙の製造について実証する。
この実施例では、広葉樹パルプから本発明によりハードニップカレンダー処理した紙の作製を実証する。
この実施例では、広葉樹パルプと針葉樹木材パルプとの重量比50/50の混合物を使用した木材パルプ紙の作製を実証する。
この実施例では、第1の層中の広葉樹パルプと、第2の層中の針葉樹パルプとの組み合わせが使用され、広葉樹パルプ対針葉樹パルプの比率が重量を基準にして50/50である、2層抄き木材パルプ紙の作製を実証する。
この実施例では、広葉樹層を広葉樹パルプ3.75g(乾燥重量に基づく)から作製し、針葉樹層を針葉樹パルプ2.5gから作製し、広葉樹パルプ対針葉樹パルプの比率が重量を基準にして75/25であることを除けば、実施例4と同じ方法で行った、第1の層中の広葉樹パルプと、第2の層中の針葉樹パルプとの2層の組み合わせを使用した2層抄き木材パルプ紙の作製を実証する。
比較例JおよびKは、木材パルプを主成分とする市販の医療用紙である。比較例Jは、45#インパーボン(Impervon)(登録商標)医療用紙であり、比較例Kは60#インパーボン(Impervon)(登録商標)医療用紙であり、どちらもキンバリー−クラーク・コーポレーション(Kimberly−Clark Corporation)(ウィスコンシン州ニーナ(Neenah,WI))より入手可能である。
Claims (22)
- ASTM F 1608によって測定される対数減少値が少なくとも3.6であり、密度が少なくとも0.80g/cm3であり、坪量が少なくとも約55g/m2である紙であって、木材パルプより実質的になる繊維成分から形成され、前記木材パルプが、360ml未満のカナダ標準形ろ水度と3mm未満の重さ加重平均長さとを有する精製パルプである、紙。
- 対数減少値が少なくとも4である、請求項1に記載の紙。
- 対数減少値が少なくとも5である、請求項1に記載の紙。
- 前記木材パルプが、約300ml未満のカナダ標準形ろ水度を有する、請求項1に記載の紙。
- 前記木材パルプが、約250ml未満のカナダ標準形ろ水度を有する、請求項4に記載の紙。
- 前記坪量が約80g/m2〜100g/m2の間である、請求項1に記載の紙。
- 前記密度が約0.80g/cm3を超え約0.98g/cm3未満である、請求項1に記載の紙。
- 前記木材パルプが約1.2mm未満の重さ加重平均長さを有する、請求項1に記載の紙。
- 前記木材パルプが漂白された広葉樹パルプである、請求項1に記載の紙。
- カレンダー処理される、請求項1に記載の紙。
- ガーレーが約250秒以下である、請求項1に記載の紙。
- ガーレーが約50秒以下である請求項11に記載の紙。
- 表面全体、または選択された領域にヒートシール組成物がコーティングされる、請求項1に記載の紙。
- 少なくとも1層が請求項1に記載の紙である、多層抄き紙構造。
- 表面全体、または選択された領域にヒートシール組成物がコーティングされる、請求項14に記載の多層抄き紙。
- カレンダー処理される、請求項14に記載の多層抄き紙。
- ガーレーが約250秒以下である、請求項14に記載の多層抄き紙。
- 木材パルプを含んでなる紙の第2および第3の層の間に挟まれた、請求項1に記載の木材パルプ紙を含んでなる第1の層を含んでなり、前記第2および第3の層中の前記木材パルプが、少なくとも約3mmの重さ加重平均長さを有する繊維を含んでなる多層抄き紙であって、カレンダー処理されている、多層抄き紙。
- 前記第2および第3の層が、約70重量パーセントまでの合成繊維をさらに含んでなる、請求項18に記載の多層抄き紙。
- 第2の部品にヒートシールされる蓋材部品を含んでなり、前記蓋材部品が、請求項1または14に記載の木材パルプ紙を含んでなる、医療用包装材。
- 請求項1に記載の紙を含んでなる、エアフィルター。
- 請求項1に記載の紙を含んでなる、液体フィルター。
