Abstract
Description
本出願は、米国仮特許出願第60/730,634号明細書の優先権を主張するものであり、その全体を本明細書に記載したものとして本明細書に援用する。
本発明は、電極カテーテルおよび組織切除に電極カテーテルを使用する方法に関する。特に、本発明の電極カテーテルは、カテーテルと動く表面(例えば、心臓壁)との接触を切除手順のために判定するための、圧電センサーなどの1つまたは複数の電気機械式センサーを備えることができる。
Claims (31)
- 電極と組織との間の接触を示す情報を提供する電極接触検知システムであって、
カテーテルシャフトの遠位部分に収納されている電極と、
少なくとも1つの電気機械式センサーであって、前記電極と作動連結しており、かつ前記電極と前記組織との間の接触によって生じる前記センサー上の機械負荷に応じて電気信号を発生するようにされた少なくとも1つの電気機械式センサーと、
前記少なくとも1つのセンサーに電気的に接続された出力装置であって、前記電気信号を受け取り、かつ前記システムの使用者に前記電極と前記組織との間の接触指標を提示するようにされた出力装置と
を備える、電極接触検知システム。 - 前記少なくとも1つの電気機械式センサーによって発生する前記電気信号が、前記機械負荷の変化に応じて変化する可変電気信号である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記機械負荷の前記変化が前記電極と前記組織との間の接触応力を示しており、前記出力装置が提示する前記接触指標が前記電極と前記組織との間の前記接触応力を使用者に示す、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記可変電気信号が強度を有し、前記可変電気信号の前記強度が接触応力に比例する、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記可変電気信号が振幅を有し、前記可変電気信号の前記振幅が接触応力の大きさに比例する、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記可変電気信号が周期性を有する、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記可変電気信号の前記周期性が接触応力の周期性に対応する、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電気機械式センサーが圧電フィルムを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電気機械式センサーが支持構造体に貼り合わせられ、前記支持構造体が前記電極に直接接続される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電気機械式センサーが支持構造体に貼り合わせられ、前記支持構造体が前記電極とは離間した関係で設けられる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 複数の電気的に絶縁された電気機械式センサーが、前記電極と作動連結した単一の支持構造体に貼り合わせられる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の電気的に絶縁された電気機械式センサーが、前記電極−組織の接触の方向性に関する情報を提供する、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電気機械式センサーが前記電極内に収納される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電気機械式センサーがほぼ弓状である、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 前記電極内に収納された複数の電気機械式センサーをさらに備え、前記複数の電気機械式センサーが第1電気機械式センサーおよび隣接電気機械式センサーを含み、前記第1電気機械式センサーが前記隣接電気機械式センサーから約30〜約180度だけ放射状にずらしてある、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の電気機械式センサーが複数の電気的に絶縁された圧電センサーである、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電気機械式センサーが、前記電極に取り付けられていない状態で前記電極に接触している、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- カテーテルの遠位部分に収納されている電極と組織とを接触させることと、
前記電極と前記組織との接触応力に応じて電気機械式センサーで電気信号を発生させることと、
前記電気信号をモニター装置に出力することと
を含む、電極−組織の接触を検知する方法。 - 前記電極と組織との間の接触応力を前記電気信号に基づいて判定することをさらに含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記電気信号の強度に基づいて接触を判定することをさらに含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記電気信号の振幅に基づいて接触を判定することをさらに含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記電気信号の周期性に基づいて接触を判定することをさらに含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 遠位部分が動く間の雑音偽信号を減少させることをさらに含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記電極の断続的接触による雑音効果を減少させることをさらに含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記電極のどの方向の応力でも検出することをさらに含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記電気機械式センサーが少なくとも2つの圧電センサーを含んでおり、前記少なくとも2つの圧電センサーのそれぞれから得られる信号の相対的な大きさおよび方向に基づいて、前記電極と組織との接触の方向および面を判定することをさらに含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 切除エネルギーを組織に加える電極手段と、
前記電極手段の接触応力に対応する電気機械信号を発生させる手段と、
前記電気機械信号に基づいて前記電極手段と前記組織との接触を判定する手段と
を含むシステム。 - 雑音偽信号を減少させる手段をさらに含む、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 組織の断続的接触による雑音効果を減少させる手段をさらに含む、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 前記電極手段と作動連結した少なくとも2つの電気機械式センサーのそれぞれから得られる信号の相対的な大きさおよび方向に基づいて前記電極手段と組織との接触の方向および面を判定するための手段をさらに含む、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも2つの電気機械式センサーが2つ以上の電気的に絶縁された圧電センサーである、請求項30に記載のシステム。
