Abstract
本発明は、皮膚の治療に対するUVランプに係る。当該ランプは、UVスペクトル及び赤色光スペクトルにおいて実質的に完全に放射線エネルギ容量を有する。600nm乃至700nmの赤色光スペクトルにおける当該UVランプの放射線エネルギ容量は、UVスペクトルにおける放射線エネルギ容量の少なくとも3%である。第1の実施例では、当該ランプは、UV蛍光灯であり、第1のUV放射蛍光体と、第2の赤色光放射蛍光体とを有する。該赤色光放射蛍光体は、CeGdMgB5O10:Tb,Mnである。第2の実施例では、当該ランプは、UV HIDランプであり、ランプのバルブは、赤色光放射線塩としてLiI及び/又はCaI2を有する。
Description
本発明は、皮膚の治療に対するUVランプに係る。当該UVランプは、UVスペクトル及び赤色光スペクトルにおいて実質的に完全な(entirely)放射線容量を有する。かかるランプは、US4,645,969(特許文献1)において開示される。
既知のランプにおける赤色光構成要素は、演色を向上させる実質的に600nmを下回る色波長を有する蛍光体によって作られ、ランプを使用する人の皮膚又は衣服の良くない外観(unflattering appearance)を避ける。
UV光を有する照射は、乾癬及びにきび治療等である医療的治療又は審美的治療、及び日焼けに対して広く使用される。具体的に乾癬の治療を目的とする蛍光灯は、Philips(登録商標)社から供給され、また、多種の蛍光灯及び高圧日焼けランプは、複数の製造者によって提供される。更には、UV放射線は、皮膚における代謝過程に影響を与え得る、皮膚におけるNO分子の濃度に影響を与えるよう使用され得る、ことは既知である(Suschek C.V.外、FASEB J 17、2342−2344、2003年(非特許文献1)参照)。
UV放射線に対する長期間の露出は皮膚の紫外線による老化に繋がり得る、ことは既知である。過度のUV放射線に対して露出された皮膚は、がさがさした手触り、皺、皮膚のひだ、皮膚のたるみ、角質と称されるいぼ状増殖、そばかす、及び、異常弾性組織による黄変を引き起こす。紫外線によって老化した皮膚になる最大の危険性を有する人は、容易に日焼けする肌を有する人、及び皮膚におけるメラニンが少ないため日焼けしない人である。これは、UVが誘発する皮膚におけるエラスチンの破壊によって引き起こされ、皮膚の弾性を低減させる、ことが既知である。紫外線によって損傷を受けた皮膚において、弾性繊維は、厚く、非常にカールされ、分岐される(highly curled and branched)。過剰な日光露出は、UV損傷後に放出される慢性炎症の産物によりコラーゲンが低下されるため、コラーゲン量を減少させる(Berardesca E.、Farinelli N.、Rebbiosi G.、Maibach H.I.、Dermatologica 182、1−6、1991年(非特許文献2);Warren R.、 Gartstein V.、Kligman A.M.、Montagana W.外、J.Am.Acad.Deramatol. 25、751−60、1991年(非特許文献3)参照)。

本発明は、先行技術のランプより人の健康により好ましい効果を有する上述された種類のランプを目的とする。
本発明によれば、600nm乃至700nmの赤色光スペクトルにおける当該ランプの放射線容量は、UVスペクトルにおける放射線エネルギ容量の少なくとも3%である。このスペクトルにおける赤色光は、皮膚におけるコラーゲンの形成及び線維芽細胞の増殖を促す。赤色光の機能は、のちにコラーゲンへと変換されるATP(プロトコラーゲン)の形成を促進することである(Weiss R.A.、McDaniel D.H.、Geronimus R.G.、Sem.Cut.Med.Am.Surg.、Vol.22、No.2、2003年、pp93−106;Weiss R.A.、McDaniel D.H.、Geronemus R.G.外、Lasers in surgery and medicine参照)。
望ましくは、600nm乃至700nmの赤色光スペクトルにおけるランプの放射線容量は、UVスペクトルにおける放射線エネルギ容量の少なくとも6%である。また、望ましくは、630nm乃至700nmの赤色光スペクトルにおけるランプの放射線容量は、UVスペクトルにおける放射線エネルギ容量の少なくとも3%であり、望ましくは少なくとも6%である。
第1の望ましい実施例では、ランプは、UV蛍光灯である。該ランプのベッセルは、第1のUV放射蛍光体及び第2の赤色光放射蛍光体を有してコーティングされる。該赤色光放射蛍光体は、例えば、CeGdMgB5O10:Tb,Mn(“CBTM蛍光体”)である。この赤色光放射蛍光体は、ピークでは約630−635nmである600nm乃至700nmの放射線スペクトルを有し、例えば、前出の特許文献1中に記載されるランプにおいて使用され得る。MgGeO6:Mnが630nm乃至700nmの放射線スペクトルを有することが既知であるが、これは、略全体的なUVA及びUVBを吸収するため、本願の適用には適切ではなく、したがって、皮膚の健康に望ましい効果を与えるよう十分な量では適用され得ない。効果的には、蛍光体混合物の6重量%乃至30重量%、望ましくは10重量%乃至20重量%は、赤色光放射蛍光体を有し、上述された放射線エネルギのレベルが達成され得る。
第2の望ましい実施例では、当該UVランプは、UV HIDランプである。当該ランプのベッセルは、第1のUV放射線塩(UV radiating salt)及び第2の赤色光放射線塩を有する。赤色光放射線塩は、LiI及び/又はCaI2である。赤色光放射線塩は、例えば、蛍光体コーティングを有さない高圧アイロン/コバルトメタルハライドランプである、Philips(登録商標)社のCleo UV HPA 400Sの種類のランプに対して加えられ得、かかるランプは、公称電力400Wを有し、主にUVAスペクトルを放射する。公称電力100W乃至800Wを有するランプにおいて、ベッセルは、赤色光放射線塩を望ましくは0.05乃至1mg、より望ましくは0.10mg乃至0.5mg、更に望ましくは0.2mg乃至0.3mg有する。
1cm2の皮膚に対して約20JであるUV光の望ましい線量と比較すると、本発明のランプが使用される1回の日焼けセッション中における630nm乃至700nmの赤色光の望ましい線量は、少なくとも1cm2の皮膚に対して少なくとも2Jである。
本発明は、典型的な実施例及び図面によって更に説明される。
図1によれば、皮膚を日焼けさせることを目的とする低圧水銀放電ランプは、両端において電極20を有する管状のソーダ石灰ケイ酸塩ガラスベッセル10を有する。電極は、端部キャップ40から延在する2つのコネクタ30と電気的に接続される。
ベッセル10は、周知のアルゴン等である低圧不活性ガス充填剤及び少量の水銀を有して充填される。適用される蛍光体を除いて、この種類の低圧水銀放電ランプが技術的に周知であるため、ランプの更なる詳細は、ここでは記載されない。
ベッセル10の内側表面は、少なくとも2つの蛍光体を有する蛍光体混合物50を有してコーティングされる。第1の蛍光体は、UVスペクトルにおいて放射する蛍光体であり、例えばSrB4O7:EU(“SBE蛍光体”)又はBaSi2O5:Pb(”BSP蛍光体”)である。第2の蛍光体は、CeGdMgB5O10:Tb,Mn(“CBTM蛍光体”)であり、ランプが点灯される際、600nm乃至700nmのスペクトルにおいて赤色光を放射する。
図2によれば、皮膚を日焼けさせることを目的とする高圧メタルハライド放電ランプは、両端において電極120を有する管状の石英ベッセル110を有する。電極120は、両端においてピンチ140から延在するMoフォイルを用いて2つのコネクタ130と電気的に接続される。
ベッセル110は、周知のアルゴン等である低圧不活性ガス充填剤及び少量の水銀、並びにコバルト及びアイロンメタルハライド塩混合物を有して充填される。追加的な塩は除いて、この種類の高圧メタルハライド放電ランプが技術的に周知(Philips(登録商標)社のCleo Suntanning Lamp HPA 400Sとして既知)であるため、ランプの更なる詳細は、ここでは説明されない。
ベッセル110は更に、赤色光放射線塩として約0.25mgのLiI及び/又はCaI2を有する。ランプが点灯される際、かかる塩は、600nm乃至700nmのスペクトルにおいて赤色光を放射する。
Claims (7)
- 皮膚の治療に対するUVランプであって、
当該UVランプは、実質的に完全にUVスペクトル及び赤色光スペクトルにおいて放射線エネルギ容量を有し、
600nm乃至700nmの前記赤色光スペクトルにおける当該UVランプの前記放射線エネルギ容量は、前記UVスペクトルにおける前記放射線エネルギ容量の少なくとも3%である、
ことを特徴とするUVランプ。 - 600nm乃至700nmの前記赤色光スペクトルにおける当該UVランプの前記放射線エネルギ容量は、前記UVスペクトルにおける前記放射線エネルギ容量の少なくとも6%である、
請求項1記載のUVランプ。 - 630nm乃至700nmの前記赤色光スペクトルにおける当該UVランプの前記放射線エネルギ容量は、前記UVスペクトルにおける前記放射線エネルギ容量の少なくとも3%であり、望ましくは少なくとも6%である、
