Abstract
Description
The present invention belongs to a technical field of a weather strip for a vehicle that is attached to an opening edge of a vehicle body such as a door, back door, or trunk of a vehicle.
In order to make the seal part a highly foamed sponge rubber, it is difficult to put a heat source inside the welt part, so the sponge rubber must be foamed by heating with the welt part opened. In this case, equipment for heating the hollow seal portion side and the welt portion side at the same time after extrusion of the weatherstrip is required, so that the equipment cost is high and the manufacturing cost increases.
The present invention has been made paying attention to the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a weather strip for a vehicle that can realize a structure for improving the seal surface pressure inside the welt portion at a low cost.
To achieve the above object, the weather strip for a vehicle according to the present invention has a plurality of lips that extend to the flange side and are arranged at regular intervals in the thickness direction of the flange at positions facing the flange end surface inside the welt portion. A seal portion in which at least one of the lips is in elastic contact with the flange is provided, and the lip has a shape in line contact with the flange.
In the present invention, the restoring force generated by the elastic deformation of the lip pressed by the inserted flange is applied to one point by the line contact between the lip and the flange, thereby ensuring the seal surface pressure and improving the sealing performance. Therefore, the reaction force when inserting the flange into the welt part can be kept small.
Therefore, it is not necessary to suppress the reaction force when inserting the flange into the welt part with high foaming as the seal part, and there is no need for expensive equipment for high foaming of the seal part. A structure for improving the seal surface pressure can be realized at low cost.
Further, since the plurality of lips are arranged at regular intervals, the lips can be brought into elastic contact with the flange regardless of the shape error of the welt part or the flange.
Hereinafter, the best mode for carrying out a weather strip for a vehicle according to the present invention will be described based on an embodiment shown in the drawings.
First, the configuration of the first embodiment will be described.
FIG. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view showing a
The
The
A
A
Figure 2 is a main part longitudinal cross sectional view of the
Next, the operation will be described.
When the
Moreover, in Example 1, since the
3 and 4 are views showing the elastic contact state of the
For example, on the
In the above case, the
On the other hand, the
When the
For this reason, regardless of the shape errors of the
[Advantages over conventional technology]
In the technique described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-341588, the sealing portion is made of a highly foamed sponge in order to suppress the insertion reaction force during assembly because of the structure in which the end surface of the flange is bitten into the sealing portion provided inside the welt portion. It was necessary to use rubber. In order to provide a highly foamed sponge rubber inside the welt part, the sponge rubber must be foamed by heating with the welt part open.
In this case, after extruding the weather strip, the hollow seal part side (the side that contacts and seals the panel of the opening / closing member such as the door, back door, trunk, etc.) and the welt part side (the side attached to the flange of the vehicle body panel) Expensive equipment that can be heated at the same time is required, which increases costs. In other words, in the above prior art, since the seal portion has a flat shape and comes into contact with the flange, when the seal portion is made of fine foamed sponge rubber, the insertion reaction force becomes large and a high seal surface pressure cannot be secured.
In addition, on the side of the welt part, there are provided clamping lips that elastically contact with both side surfaces of the flange and prevent the welt part from falling over and falling out by sandwiching the flange. In order to heat the welt part side as well, it is necessary to heat so that the sandwiching lip is not highly foamed, which also increases the cost.
On the other hand, in the
Further, since the sealing
