Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for preventing breakage of a solder connection part between a board and a cable even if stress is applied on the cable, and preventing separation of a boundary surface between a potting agent and the cable.
SOLUTION: A cover 5 is composed of a body part 5a, and a fixation part 5b projecting from the body part. Recessed and projecting shapes are formed on both sides of the fixation part, the width of the projecting part is equal to that of a cable 6, and the width of the recessed part is slightly smaller than that of the cable. The recessed and projecting parts hold a shrinkable tube 7 in shrinking it. By shrinking the shrinkable tube after injecting a potting agent, the projecting parts of the cover are fixed to the cable. A heat-shrinkable type is employed for the shrinkable tube. By fixing the cover to the projecting parts of the cover in a stage before the potting agent is hardened, stress is never imposed on a soldering part and a potting part of the cable on the tip side from the fixation part while the potting agent is hardened, during harness work, or even when the cable is brought into a state where stress is imposed thereon in a product state.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

Description

The present invention fixes the cable to the cover with a shrinkable tube so that the movement of the cable is not transmitted to the sealing material and the soldered connection portion between the cable and the board, thereby improving waterproofness and soldering the cable. It is related with the structure of the connector which aims at prevention of the disconnection of a part.

A first prior art connector will be described with reference to FIG.

FIG. 8 is a perspective view of the connector 21 in which the cable 26 is connected to the housing 22. The state where the housing 22 is covered with the cover 25 is shown. A substrate (not shown) is mounted inside the housing 22, and a large number of terminals (not shown) are arranged in a row at a predetermined pitch on the substrate. A cable 26 is soldered to the substrate. A cover 25 is attached so as to cover the opening surface of the housing 22.

In a state where the substrate and the cover 25 are mounted on the housing 22, the potting agent is injected into a potting agent (sealing material) filling portion (not shown) of the housing 22.

。 The second prior art coaxial connector is described in a publication distributed prior to the present application (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

This coaxial connector has a simple mounting structure and little deterioration in characteristics.

In FIG. 9, the housing 42 of the coaxial connector 41 is provided with a hollow cylindrical mounting portion 43 having a substantially C-shaped cross section. The distal end portion of the attachment portion 43 is divided into a plurality of engagement pieces 43a, and a protrusion 43a1 is formed on the inner wall side of each engagement piece 43a. After connecting the outer conductor 46 of the coaxial cable 45 to the mounting portion 43, the outer conductor 46 is covered with the heat shrinkable tube 51.

When the heat-shrinkable tube 51 is heat-shrinked, each engagement piece 43a of the mounting portion 43 is pressed inward, and each projection 43a1 engages with the outer conductor 46 of the coaxial cable 45.

In the first prior art, when stress such as moving the harness is applied during the potting operation of the inside of the connector housing with the sealing material or during the curing of the sealing material, the soldered connection portion between the cable and the board is applied. Stress is added. As a result, the cable may be disconnected and a circuit connection failure may occur.

Conventionally, various protective jigs are used to prevent stress from being applied to the cable during harness work, but the workability when moving the cable or pouring the potting agent is reduced. .

In the second prior art, when the heat-shrinkable tube is thermally contracted, each engagement piece of the mounting portion is pressed inward, and each protrusion is engaged with the outer conductor of the coaxial cable.

Therefore, each of the conventional techniques does not take measures against breakage of the solder connection portion between the substrate and the cable, and measures against peeling of the boundary surface between the potting agent and the cable.

Accordingly, the present invention provides a connector that can prevent breakage of the solder connection portion between the substrate and the cable even when stress is applied to the cable, and can also prevent peeling of the boundary surface between the potting agent and the cable. Is to provide.

The present invention employs the following means in order to solve the above problems. Next to the configuration, parentheses are added and the reference numerals of members / parts of the embodiment are entered.

1. In the connector (1, 11) connected to the cable (6), the connector has a terminal (4), a housing (2) for holding the terminal, and a cover (5, 15). A sealing material filling portion (2a) into which a material is injected, the cover has a main body portion (5a, 15) and a fixing portion (5b, 16), and the main body portion is the sealing material filling portion. After the cable is connected to the connector, the contraction tube (7, 17) is disposed so as to sandwich the fixing portion and the cable, and the contraction tube is contracted to thereby contract the cable to the cover. To hold the connector.

2. The connector according to 1, wherein the fixing portion (5b) has an uneven shape (5b1).

3. The connector according to 1 or 2, wherein the fixing portion (5b, 16) has a locking portion (16c) for preventing the contraction tube from coming off.

As is apparent from the description of the specification, the present invention has the following effects.

Even if stress is applied to the cable, it is possible to provide a connector capable of preventing breakage of the solder connection portion between the board and the cable and preventing separation of the boundary surface between the sealing material and the cable. .

2. Since the contraction tube is held during contraction by the uneven shape of the fixing portion of the cover, the cable is not detached from the cover.

3. Since the fixing portion has a locking portion for preventing the contraction tube from coming off, the cable is not detached from the cover.

4). Since the intended purpose can be achieved by the main body portion and the fixing portion of the cover and the shrinkable tube, the structure is simple, the number of parts is small, and the assembly and disassembly is simple.

5). Since it is not necessary to use various protective jigs as in the prior art, harness workability is improved.

Two embodiments of the connector of the present invention will be described.

A first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.

1A and 1B are perspective views of a connector 1 in which a cable 6 is connected to a housing 2, wherein FIG. 1A shows a state seen from the fitting side, and FIG. 1B shows a state seen from the cover 5 side. A substrate 3 is mounted inside the housing 2, and a large number of terminals 4 are arranged in a row at a predetermined pitch on the substrate 3. A cable 6 is soldered 6 ′ to the back surface of the substrate 3. A cover 5 is attached so as to cover the opening surface of the housing 2.

As shown in FIG. 2, the potting agent is injected into the potting agent (sealing material) filling portion 2 a of the housing 2 with the substrate 3 and the cover 5 mounted on the housing 2. The cable 6 is disposed in a notch 2b formed in the side wall of the housing 2.

FIG. 3 shows a state in which the contraction tube 7 is passed from one end of the cable 6 and attached to the fixing part 5b of the cover 5 to be contracted in a state where the cable 6 is fixed to the fixing part 5b of the cover 5 covering the housing 2. FIG.

The shrinkable tube 7 may be inserted into the cable 6 in advance before the cable 6 is soldered and fixed to the connector 1.

The cover 5 includes a main body portion 5a and a fixing portion 5b protruding from the main body portion 5a. Concave and convex shapes 5 b 1 are formed on both sides of the fixed portion 5 b, the width of the convex portion is equal to the width of the cable 6, and the width of the concave portion is slightly narrower than the width of the cable 6. The concavo-convex portion plays a role of holding the contraction tube 7 after the contraction tube 7 is contracted. After injecting the potting agent, the fixing portion 5b and the cable 6 are fixed by contracting the contraction tube 7. A heat shrink type is adopted for the shrink tube 7. By fixing the cable 6 to the convex portion of the fixing portion 5b before the potting agent is cured, the cable 6 is stressed until the potting agent is cured, during harness work, or in the product state. Even if it becomes, stress is not added to the soldering part and potting part of the cable 6 ahead from the fixing | fixed part 5b.

In this embodiment, the substrate 3 is inserted into the potting agent filling portion 2a of the housing 2, and the cable 6 is connected to the substrate 3 and the potting agent is injected onto the substrate 3. However, the cable 6 is connected without using the substrate. You may solder to the connection part 4a of the terminal 4 directly.

4A and 4B are views showing the direction of viewing the cable 6 and the type of the cable 6. FIG. 4A is a perspective view of the connector 1 showing the direction of viewing the cable 6 with an arrow, and FIG. The state which fixed the flat cable 6a and the cover 5 by this, and the figure seen from the arrow direction of (A), (C) shows the state which fixed the discrete wire 6b and the cover 5 by contracting the contraction tube 7. The figure seen from the arrow direction of (A) is shown, respectively. Similar effects can be obtained with either the flat cable 6a or the discrete wire 6b. When the flat cable 6a is used, the width of the convex portion of the fixing portion 5b is made substantially equal to the width of the cable 6, thereby preventing the flat cable 6a from being rounded due to the contraction even when the contraction tube 7 is contracted. can do. Therefore, the flat cable 6a and the cover 5 can be fixed. The cover 5 is made of a resin material or a metal material having higher strength.

According to the first embodiment, as shown in FIG. 5, even if an external force is applied to one end of the cable 6 so as to swing in the direction of the arrow, the soldering portion of the cable 6 to the substrate 3 and the potting agent of the housing 2 No force is transmitted to the filling part 2a. Therefore, no stress is applied to the soldering portion and the potting agent filling portion 2a, the circuit connection is poor due to disconnection such as peeling of the soldering portion 6 'of the cable 6, and the waterproofing is caused by peeling of the boundary surface between the cable 6 and the potting agent. The fall of property can be prevented.

In addition, the fixing part 5b of the cover 5 can be provided with a locking part for preventing the contraction tube 7 from coming off (see the locking part 16c of Example 2).

A second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. In the description of the second embodiment, the description of the same points as in the first embodiment will be omitted, and different points will be described.

6A to 6C are perspective views of the connector 11. As shown in (A), the cover 15 and the fixing portion 16 are manufactured as separate members. The fixing portion 16 includes a main body portion 16a, an adhesive portion 16b formed on one end side of the main body portion 16a, and a locking portion 16c bent on the other end side of the main body portion 16a. The height of the locking portion 16 c is set slightly larger than the thickness of the contraction tube 17. The adhesive portion 16b of the fixing portion 16 is adhered to the cover 15 in the arrow direction.

The shrinkable tube 17 is attached to the main body portion 16a of the fixed portion 16 through the cable 6 in (B). As in the first embodiment, the shrinkable tube 17 may be attached to the cable 6 in advance before the cable 6 is soldered.

Then, as shown in FIG. 6C and FIG. 7, the contraction tube 17 is prevented from coming out of the cable 6 by the locking portion 16 c that is bent at the other end side of the main body portion 16 a.

It should be noted that the protrusion 16d of the fixing portion 16 is bonded to the cover 15 or disposed in the potting agent filling portion 2a (see FIG. 2) from the notch 2b (see FIG. 2) of the housing 2 to the cover 15. 2 may be adhered to both.

In the first and second embodiments, even if the cross section of the cable 6 is round (concentric), the intended purpose can be achieved. In this case, the fixing portion 5b protruding from the main body portion 5a of the cover 5 and the main body portion 16a of the fixing portion 16 are formed in a U shape.
