このように凹部Rを一体形成させた軟質層2を、凹部Rの底側を水平に軟質層2に沿って切断して、凹部Rの底側を除去すると、図10に示すような形状となり、凹部Rを切断した部分に大径の大径孔2aが出現する。この大径孔2aの内周には軟質表面層21の覆蓋部21aが連続状に垂下されて、大径孔2aの内周は軟質表面層21の覆蓋部21aで覆蓋されている状態となる。

FRP補強層3を一体状に形成した後に、成形治具7を取り外し、図12に示すように、ドリルD等を用いて大径孔2aの中心位置に上方から下方に向かってFRP補強層3に貫通孔3aを形成させる。これにより、取付け部品を取付け固定できる貫通孔3aが形成され、貫通孔3aの上面側の外周付近には軟質層2が存在しないために、取付け部品を強固にFRP補強層3に表および裏側から締め付けて取り付けできるものである。
また、大径孔2aの内周面は軟質表面層21の覆蓋部21aで止水されているため、大径孔2a側から発泡体22内に水が侵入することが防がれ、発泡体22の端面の汚れやカビの発生が防がれる。

また、大径孔2aの内周には、シリコン等の止水剤4を塗布するか、或いは図8に示したような硬質樹脂の止水パーツ8を嵌め込んで、発泡体22の端面を止水処理することができるものである。

なお、浴槽11の場合は、取付け部品Pとして、ジェット噴射用金具や追い焚き用金具或いは手摺り等が挙げられ、これらの取付け部品Pを変形することなく強固に取り付けることができ、しかも発泡体22の汚れやカビを防ぐことができるものとなる。
このような構造の浴槽11や防水パン1では、発泡体22を備えた軟質層2が表面側に存在するため、入浴時に柔らかい接触感が得られて入浴感が極めて向上するものとなり、また、この軟質層2により保温性が格段に向上するものとなる。
