Abstract
【解決手段】有機ELパネル4の複数の画素を同じ電圧で駆動する。同じ電圧で駆動することで、劣化の少ない画素には大きな電流が流れ、劣化の大きな画素には小さな電流が流れ、画素の劣化程度の均一化を図ることができる。

Claims (7)
- 各画素に自発光型の表示素子を備える表示装置であって、
複数の画素において表示素子に同じ電圧を印加して発光させ、劣化の進んでいる表示素子に比較的小さな電流、劣化の遅れている表示素子に比較的大きな電流を流すことで、表示素子の劣化を均一化することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、
全画素に同じ電圧を印加して発光させることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載の表示装置において、
前記均一化の処理は、表示装置の非使用期間において実施し、
均一化処理において表示素子に供給する電流量を使用時間に応じて変更することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項3に記載の表示装置において、
均一化処理において表示素子に供給する電流量を表示装置の使用期間における平均的輝度データに応じて変更することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項3に記載の表示装置において、
均一化処理において表示素子に供給する電流量に応じて表示装置の使用期間における複数の画素に流れる平均的電流に応じて変更することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1〜5のいずれか1つに記載の表示装置において、
各画素を複数のサブ画素で構成し、一方のサブ画素で画像信号に応じた通常の表示を行い、他方のサブ画素で均一化処理を行い、この一方と他方のサブ画素を適宜切り換えることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1〜6のいずれか1つに記載の表示装置において、
前記自発光型の表示素子は、有機EL素子であることを特徴とする表示装置。
