Description
本発明は、本明細書においてけん引減力剤と言い、これを含む組成物に低けん引性質を付与する流体、並びに前記けん引減力剤流体を、潤滑油に添加してけん引係数を低くする方法に関する。本発明は、組成物中にけん引減力剤を使用すること、及び前記組成物を、潤動又は回転する、即ち、ローラー、円形ベアリング、ハイポイドギア、破損ギア等の非同調集中接触を行う機械要素に使用することにも関する。
本発明は、低けん引係数の潤滑油及び完成ギア、トランスミッション、エンジン、及び工業用潤滑油のための潤滑油組成物に関し、好ましい態様において、本発明は、平歯車、ハスバ歯車、ハイポイドギア、かさ歯車、ウオームギア等における高度な滑りを有する非同調集中接触のための潤滑油に用いられる。

- 100℃において3cStより大きい粘度を有する前記ベースストックが、エステル、PAG、及びアルキル化ナフタレンから選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記けん引減力剤が一塩基酸エステルであることを特徴とする請求項1の方法。
- 前記けん引減力剤が更に100℃において1.3以下の粘度(ASTM D−445)を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4に記載の方法。
- 前記けん引減力剤が、ノルマルパラフィン、イソパラフィン、非芳香族化炭化水素流体、及び脂肪族炭化水素流体から選択される炭化流体流体であることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至3に記載の方法。
- 前記けん引減力剤が、前記ベースストックと前記けん引減力剤との総重量に対して、少なくとも50重量%の量で添加されることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ブレンド後の前記潤滑組成物が5乃至30の滑り率の範囲内で、前記潤滑油組成物のけん引係数が少なくとも5%低くなることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ブレンド工程の後に、前記けん引減力剤を含む潤滑油組成物で滑らかにされた、ギアシステムのエネルギー効率、及び/又は前記ギアシステムを含む機械又は装置の燃料効率の改良を測定する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ベースストックが、PAO100、PAO150、PAO1000、及びこれらの混合物から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至2、及び4乃至9のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記ベースストックがPAO150を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至2、及び4乃至9のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記ベースストックが実質的にPAO150から構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至2及び4乃至9のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- (a)100℃において3cStより高い粘度(ASTM D445)を有することを特徴とする少なくとも1つのベースストックと、
(b)前記ベースストックに対して相溶性があり、及び100℃において1.3cSt以下の粘度(ASTM D445)を有し、及び(a)で述べたベースストックのけん引係数よりも低いけん引係数を有することを特徴とする、少なくとも1つのけん引減力剤とを含む潤滑油組成物であって、
前記潤滑油組成物の総重量に基づいて、(a)が1乃至99重量%の量で、及び(b)が99乃至1重量%の量で存在することを特徴とし、
0.1乃至3.5GPaピーク接触圧力、−40℃乃至200℃の潤滑油温度、0.25乃至10.0m/sの潤滑油導入速度の作動範囲において測定される、5%より高い範囲の滑り率における前記潤滑油組成物のけん引係数が(a)のけん引係数より低くなることを特徴とし、
前記組成物が、
(i)(a)がエステル、PAG、及びアルキル化ナフタレンから選択されること、又は
(ii)(b)が一塩基酸エステルから選択され、及び(a)がPAOではないこと、又は
(iii)(b)がノルマルパラフィン、イソノルマルパラフィン、非芳香族化炭化水素流体及び脂肪族炭化水素流体から選択される炭化水素流体であること、から選択される1つの特徴を有する、潤滑油組成物。 - 前記(a)が100℃において少なくとも100cStの粘度(ASTM D445)を有することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- (a)及び(b)の組合せが前記潤滑油組成物の50重量%より多く含まれることを特徴とする請求項13乃至14のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記けん引減力剤が100℃において1.3cSt未満の粘度(ASTM D−445)を有することを特徴とする請求項13乃至15のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記けん引減力剤が更にC5乃至C30の平均炭素数を有することを特徴とする請求項13乃至16のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記けん引減力剤が100℃において2cSt未満の粘度(ASTM D445)及びC5乃至C30の平均炭素数を有数することを特徴とする、請求項13乃至16のいずれか1つに記載の潤滑組成物。
- 前記(a)が、100℃において20cSt以上の粘度(ASTM D−445)を有することを特徴とする、請求項13乃至16のいずれか1つに記載の潤滑組成物。
- 前記(a)が100℃において少なくとも100cStの粘度(ASTM D445)を有することを特徴とする請求項13乃至18のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記(a)が100℃において140cStより高い粘度(ASTM D445)を有することを特徴とする請求項13乃至18のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記(a)がAPI GroupI乃至Vから選択される少なくとも1つの物質を含むことを特徴とする請求項13乃至21のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記(a)がAPI GroupVから選択される少なくとも1つの物質を含むことを特徴とする請求項13乃至21のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記(a)がエステル、PAG、及びアルキル化ナフタレンから選択される少なくとも1つのベースストックを含むことを特徴とする請求項13乃至20のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記(a)が少なくとも1つのポリアルファオレフィンを含むことを特徴とする請求項13乃至23のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記(a)がAPI GroupV、合成炭化水素、及びミネラルオイルから選択される少なくとも1つのベースストックを含むことを特徴とする請求項13乃至21のいずれか1項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記(b)が少なくとも1つの一塩基酸エステルから選択され、前記(b)が前記(a)及び前記(b)の重量に基づいて少なくとも50重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする請求項13乃至24のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記(b)が少なくとも1つの一塩基酸エステルを含むことを特徴とする請求項13乃至24のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- −40℃のブロックフィールド粘度が<150,000cP及び−55℃のブロックフィールド粘度が<1,000,000cP(ASTM D2938)であることを特徴とする、請求項13乃至28のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 約100,000以上の分子量を有するVI改質剤を含まないことを特徴とする、請求項13乃至29のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物が、自動車ギア用潤滑油組成物として用いるのに適するように更に製剤化されることを特徴とする、請求項13乃至30のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物が、0.1GPa乃至3.5GPaピーク接触圧力、−40℃乃至200℃潤滑油温度、20%より高い滑り率で、0.25m/s乃至10m/sの潤滑油導入速度の操作範囲に対して測定される、けん引係数が0.15未満であることを特徴とする、請求項13乃至31に記載の組成物。
- 前記(b)がC8乃至C10から選択される少なくとも1つのアルコールとC5乃至C7カルボン酸から選択される少なくとも1つの酸をエステル化して生成される一塩基酸エステルであることを特徴とする、請求項13乃至24及び26乃至32のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記(b)がC8乃至C10アルコールのペンタン酸エステルを含むことを特徴とする請求項13乃至24及び16乃至32のいずれか1項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 潤滑油流体と接触するローラー、球面ベアリング、ハイポイドアルクス、ギア、ヲームギア等の潤滑を要する要素を有する装置において、
(a)100℃において3cStより大きい粘度(ASTM D445)を有することを特徴とする少なくとも1つのベースストック、
(b)前記ベースストックに対して相溶性であり、及び100℃において3cSt以下の粘度(ASTM D445)を有し、及び前記(a)で述べるベースストックのけん引係数よりも少ないけん引係数を有し、
前記潤滑油組成物の重量に基づいて、前記(a)が1乃至99重量%及び前記(b)が99乃至1重量%存在することを特徴とし、
0.1乃至3.5GPaピーク接触圧力、−40℃乃至200℃の潤滑油温度、0.25乃至10.0m/sの潤滑油導入速度の作動範囲において測定される、5%より高い範囲の滑り率における前記潤滑油組成物のけん引係数が(a)のけん引係数より低くなることを特徴とする、
潤滑油流体を含む装置。 - 前記潤滑油組成物が請求項13乃至34のいずれか1項の組成物であることを特徴とする請求項35に記載の装置。
