Abstract
Description
光線は点光源から放射状に自然に広がるので、図1に弧5によって示すように、テーパ状の光導波路を光の入射点に関して極対称性とすることによって、光線がテーパの軸に対して傾いた角度に進むことはない。点線は、等しい厚さの線、即ち、等高線を表すために用いられる。少なくとも矩形の影像が所望される場合には、極対称性によって幾らかの歪みが生じるが、しかしながら、その歪みは投影される映像を光学的又はデジタル的に予め歪めることによって相殺することが可能である。

Claims (15)
- 入力部及び出力部として機能する第1及び第2の面(2,3a)を備える平坦な光導波路(1)であって、第1の面(2)は光導波路の幅に対して小さいことと、第1の面に入射する光線の角度によって第2の面(3a)から放射される光線の位置が決定されるか、或いは第2の面に入射する光線の位置によって第2の面から放射される光線の角度が決定されるような光学特性を有することと、光導波路の光学プロファイルは第1の面(2)に関して極対称性であることと、からなる光導波路。
- 第2の面は光学的にテーパ状の透明シート(3)によって形成されていることと、第1の面(2)はこのシートの厚端と光学的に連絡していることと、を含む請求項1に記載の光導波路。
- 第1の面(2)からテーパ状のシートへの光の拡散のためにテーパ状のシート(3)に隣接する入力/出力厚板(4)を含む請求項2に記載の光導波路。
- 平坦シートとテーパ状のシートとの間の遷移領域(8)を含む請求項3に記載の光導波路。
- 平坦シート及びテーパ状のシートが互いの上に折りたたまれるように光を折り曲げるためのプリズムデバイス(20)を含む請求項3又は4に記載の光導波路。
- 垂直な方向へテーパ状のシートから光を放出する又はテーパ状のシートへ光を入射するための光方向転換シート(10)を含む請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の光導波路。
- 請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の光導波路と、光導波路の第1の面(2)に光を入射するように構成された点光源(15)と、からなる面光源。
- 請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の光導波路と、第2の面(3a)を通じて影像を見ることが可能であるように光導波路の第1の面(2)に影像を入射するように構成されたプロジェクター(15)と、からなるディスプレイ。
- 請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の光導波路と、第2の面(3a)にて受け取られる平行な影像に対応する影像を生成するように光導波路の第1の面(2)から光を受け取るように構成された小型カメラ(15)と、からなるカメラ装置。
- 角度βによってテーパ状の光導波路を折りたたむためのプリズムであって、角度180°−β、(β−α)/2及び(β+α)2を有する三角形と等しい断面を有することと、αは光導波路のテーパの角度であることと、プリズムに入射する光から光が光導波路に戻ることを防止するのに充分高い屈折率であることと、を含むプリズム。
