Abstract
Description
本発明は、外殻内に収納された支持マットによって囲繞される触媒担体を有する触媒コンバータの組立体に関する。さらに詳しくは、本発明は、コンバータの寿命全体を通して空隙かさ密度(Gap Bulk Density)の確認された完全性を可能にする後較正コンバータキャニング(Post calibration converter canning)に関する。
したがって、触媒コンバータは、まず触媒担体を取得して、その周囲に支持マットを巻き付けて部分組立体を形成することによって製造される。次いで、部分組立体は、担体に関して支持マットを圧縮する計測ステーションに配置され、マットがコンバータが最終的に組み立てられたときに所望の空隙かさ密度を生じるであろう厚みを決定するように計測される。この所望の空隙かさ密度を達成するために加えられる圧力は、将来の使用のために記憶される。次に、部分組立体は、コンバータ収納容器に弱く詰め込まれ、外側収納容器が前工程における計測ステーションで決定された圧力で半径方向内方に一様に圧縮されるサイジングステーションに渡される。計測ステーションで決定された圧力は外殻の反発を考慮して調整される。
詳細説明
図1を参照して、部分組立体100は、触媒担体104を囲繞する支持マット102を含み、たとえばマスキングテープを用いて仮組み立てされる。次いで、部分組立体100は、部分組立体100を計測ステーション106に移送するネストに挿入される。次いで、計測ステーション106は、部分組立体102を、支持マットに対して所望の空隙かさ密度を生じるであろう平均圧力にまで圧縮する。1つの典型的なコンバータは、たとえば、実験データによって0.83グラム毎立方センチメートルの空隙かさ密度に相互に関連付けられた40psiの目標圧力を受けてもよい。次いで、0.83グラム毎立方センチメートルの理論、空隙かさ密度および計測圧縮の達成された変位値に基づいて、達成されたマットギャップはより大きなマット空隙および0.953グラム毎立方センチメートルなどの対応する空隙かさ密度に相互に関連付けられる。計測されたマット幅を達成するために用いられる圧力が、たとえばサイジングステーション110に使用されるコントローラ108に保存される。計測ステーション106からのフィードバックは外殻または収納容器202内の部分組立体100の最終組立体において使用されるサイジング装置に移送される。
Claims (3)
- 半径方向内方に向かう一様な圧力を、排気処理装置のための担体を囲繞する圧縮可能な支持マットに加える装置において、
支持マットおよび担体を支持するように適合させた空間を規定する複数の接触パッドを含み、
各パッドは圧力測定ロードセルと関連するとともに、支持マットに対して半径方向内方に移動可能であり、各接触パッドは板ばねを介して支持フレームに結合されることを特徴とする装置。 - 各接触パッドは、コイルばねを介して、関連するロードセルに結合されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 排気処理装置は触媒コンバータを含み、担体は触媒含有部材を含み、支持マットは衝撃吸収弾発絶縁支持体を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
