Abstract
【解決手段】燃料添加用触媒(FBC)含有濃縮物等の燃料添加剤を、燃料タンクのフィラー注入口の上部に配置され且つフィラーキャップをはずすことによって作動するスイッチからの信号に基づいて注入手段として重力を用いて燃料タンクに自動供給する。

Description
本発明の更なる目的は、燃料ポンプから予め決めた平均的供給速度に対応する予め決めた速度で燃料タンクに添加剤を導入する手段を提供することにある。
本発明の更なる目的は、エンジンの開始とエンジンの停止を自動的に行うシステムを供給することにある。
本発明の更なる目的は、ソレノイド弁コイルをタイマーリレーを用いて開く時間を制限するシステムを提供することにある。
これら及び他の目的は、単純なデザインと添加剤の供給に重力を用いる本発明の燃料添加剤供給システムによって達成される。
これは、輸送用トラックにとって大きな燃料経済上の改善であり、それによりそれらと組合せて用いられるディーゼル微粒子トラップ(DPT’s)や他の後処理機器を長期間連続的に作動させてトラックからの微粒子汚染物の排出を減少させることを可能にする。
本発明のエンジンがオン状態での添加剤供給システムでは、コントローラ22は、プリセットリミットつきの単純なタイマー回路からなっていてもよく、またコストの増加なしにかなりのフレキシビリティをもたらすプログラム可能なロジック回路をもつものでもよい。コントローラ22が、エンジンがオン位置にあるという信号を受けると、コントローラ22が供給ライン36等を介してコントロール信号をソレノイド又は他の弁16用のアクチュエータに送り、弁16を開にし、FBC添加物濃縮物を容器からタンク12へ流す。

Claims (10)
- 燃料添加用触媒(FBC)含有濃縮物等の燃料添加剤を、燃料タンクのフィラー注入口の上部に配置され且つフィラーキャップをはずすことによって作動するスイッチからの信号に基づいて注入手段として重力を用いて燃料タンクに自動供給する安全で信頼性のある燃料添加物の燃料タンクへの供給システム。
- スイッチがリードスイッチである請求項1のシステム。
- キャップをはずした後予め決めた時間(たとえば10分)内に供給を停止する請求項1のシステム。
- 信号がソレノイド弁を作動して該弁を開として燃料添加剤を流す請求項1のシステム。
- キャップ中に磁石があり、キャップがフィラー注入口上にある間は開にそしてキャップをはずしたときは閉となるリードスイッチを保持している請求項1のシステム。
- 燃料添加用触媒(FBC)含有濃縮物等の燃料添加剤を、点火キースイッチ及び又はコントローラからの信号に基づいて注入手段として重力を用いて予め決めた量の燃料添加剤を燃料タンクに周期的に自動供給する安全で信頼性のある燃料添加物の燃料タンクへの供給システム。
- 燃料添加剤の供給速度が平均燃料消費に基づいて制御される請求項6のシステム。
- キーがオフの位置にあるときに供給を停止する請求項6のシステム。
- 信号がソレノイド弁を作動して同弁を開にして燃料添加剤を流す請求項6のシステム。
- 燃料添加剤貯蔵器が終日運転を可能にする量の燃料添加剤を収容する請求項6のシステム。
