Abstract
【解決手段】カメラ2により車両の周囲を撮像し、その撮像画像内をパターンマッチングによって検出対象物を検出する撮像システム1であって、車速が所定値を超える場合には車速がその所定値以下の場合と比べて画像内の遠方側からパターンマッチングを行う。これにより、車速が上がったときに遠方の対象物検出が迅速に行え、車速に応じて車両運転において必要性の高い検出対象物を適切に検出することができる。

Claims (4)
- 車両の周囲を撮像する撮像手段と、
パターンマッチングによって前記撮像手段により撮像された画像内の検出対象物を検出するものであって、車速が前記所定値を超える場合には車速が前記所定値以下の場合と比べて画像内の遠方側からパターンマッチングを行う検出手段と、
を備えた撮像システム。 - 前記検出手段は、複数のテンプレートを用いてパターンマッチングを行うものであって、車速が前記所定値を超える場合には車速が前記所定値以下の場合と比べて遠方側を検出するための遠方側テンプレートを先に用いてパターンマッチングを行うこと、
を特徴とする請求項1に記載の撮像システム。 - 前記検出手段は、車両がカーブを走行している場合には、カーブを走行していない場合と比べて近傍側をパターンマッチングして検出対象物の検出を行うことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の撮像システム。
- 車両の夜間走行時に運転者の視認支援を行う視認支援システムに用いられることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の撮像システム。
