Abstract
【効果】拡散板の見かけ上の拡散特性が向上する。このため拡散特性の低い拡散板を採用でき、ひいてはバックライト光の利用効率が高まる。

Claims (9)
- 液晶パネル、
前記液晶パネルの後方に配置されるバックライト、
前記バックライトから発せられた光を拡散させる少なくとも1つの拡散板、
前記拡散板を支持する支持部材、
前記拡散板と前記支持部材との間に介在する弾性部材、および
前記拡散板を振動させる振動手段を備える、液晶表示装置。 - 前記振動手段は前記拡散板を可聴帯域外の周波数で振動させる、請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記振動手段は圧電素子および前記圧電素子に電圧を印加するドライバを含む、請求項1または2記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記圧電素子は前記拡散板の端部と対向する圧電素子片である、請求項3記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記バックライト用のインバータ回路をさらに備え、
前記ドライバは前記インバータ回路で生成されるスイッチング信号に従って動作する、請求項3記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記液晶パネルは複数の液晶パネルを積層した液晶パネルユニットである、請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記拡散板は前記液晶パネルユニットの前記複数の液晶パネルの間に介挿され、
前記振動手段は前記拡散板を視覚の時空間特性に基づく検知限界以上の周波数で振動させる、請求項6記載の液晶表示装置。 - 光を拡散させる拡散層、および
前記拡散層と積層される透明圧電素子層を備える、拡散板。 - 板状に成形され、
一方の面から他方の面に透過する光を拡散する、透明圧電素子。
