Abstract

内側チューブが接続部からカテーテルの先端部へ延びて帰りルーメンを画成するとともに、主要部および基端部において外側チューブとそれぞれ結合して取入れルーメンを画成する。内側チューブは、主要部において使用される第1の外側チューブの壁厚と比較して薄壁に形成され、基端部において使用される第2の外側チューブは第1の外側チューブよりも大きい横断面積を有する。取入れおよび出口チューブが主要部と略並行して主要部の一方の側へ延びる基端構造体も開示されている。

Claims (11)
- 基端および先端を有しかつ第1の外側チューブ(46)を備えた主要部(37)と、先端に配設された先端部(38)と、内側チューブ(48)と、接続部(32)に取着された取入れおよび出口チューブ(22、24)とを備えた同軸デュアルルーメンカテーテルにおいて、主要部の前記基端に取着された先端と接続部に取着された基端とを有しかつ第1の外側チューブよりも大きい横断面を有する第2の外側チューブ(60)を有するU字状基端部(34)と、第1と第2の外側チューブ(46、60)の内部に遊嵌されて延びかつ先端部と接続部に固定されて帰りルーメン(52)を画成するとともに第1および第2の外側チューブと組み合わされて環状の取入れルーメン(50)を画成する内側チューブ(48)とを備え、取入れおよび出口チューブ(22、24)は主要部(37)と略並行して主要部の一方の側へ延びるとともに取入れおよび帰りルーメン(50、52)にそれぞれ結合されていることを特徴とするカテーテル。
- 内側チューブ(48)は第1の外側チューブ(46)の壁厚と比較して薄壁に形成され、第2の外側チューブ(60)は改良された耐よじれ性を提供するようにかつ最小の耐よじれ性を有する薄壁の内側チューブを保護するように第1の外側チューブよりも大きい横断面積を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- カテーテルを患者に固定するように前記基端に配設された付属部材(54)を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- 付属部材は回転自在のウイングであることを特徴とする請求項2または3に記載のカテーテル。
- 付属部材はカフであることを特徴とする請求項2または3に記載のカテーテル。
- 第1の外側チューブ(46)には取入れルーメン(50)へアクセスすることができる取入れ開口(40)が配設され、先端部(38)は主要部(37)よりも小さい横断面に形成されかつ少なくとも1つの開口(42、44)を有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- 第1の外側チューブ(46)には取入れルーメン(50)へアクセスすることができる取入れ開口(40)が配設され、先端部(38)は主要部(37)よりも小さい横断面に形成されかつ少なくとも1つの開口(42、44)を有しており、しかもカテーテルは主要部(37)の先端に配設された遷移部(39)を更に備え、遷移部(39)は内側部(48)と、先端部(38)と、第1の外側部(46)とのオーバーラップ部に提供される材料から形成され、内側チューブは第1の外側チューブの内側に位置する先端部の内側に配置され、内側チューブは遷移部において先端部の内方へ滑らかに融合しかつ外側チューブは遷移部で終端する取入れルーメン(50)とともに先端部の内方へ滑らかに融合し、先端部は帰りルーメン(52)の連続部を形成しかつ帰りルーメンは前記端部開口(44)で終端することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のカテーテル。
- 内側チューブ(48)、第1および第2の外側チューブ(46、60)並びに先端部(38)は円形横断面を有することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のカテーテル。
- 先端部(38)の直径は内側チューブ(48)の直径よりも大きくかつ第1の外側チューブ(46)の直径よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のカテーテル。
- 10.内側チューブ(48)と外側チューブ(46)は取入れルーメン(50)が終端する位置で半径方向に互いに離隔していることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のカテーテル。
- 取入れおよび出口チューブ(26、28)が接続部(32)から主要部(37)と略並行して主要部の一方の側へ延び、取入れチューブと出口チューブ間の開き角は約30度よりも小さく接続部の両側へ略等しく離隔していることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のカテーテル。
