Abstract

Claims (10)
- 翼形部(22)内における割れ伝播を減少させる方法であって、
先端(34)から間隔を置いた根元(36)、間隔を置いた前縁及び後縁(30、32)、前記前縁(30)から前記後縁(32)まで延びる負圧側面(40)、並びに前記前縁(30)及び後縁(32)から延びる対向する正圧側面(38)を有する翼形部(22)を準備する段階と、
曲げ荷重に対して前記翼形部(22)を支持する段階と、
バニシング要素(42)を使用して前記翼形部(22)をバニシング加工して、前記前縁(30)に隣接して位置しかつ該前縁(30)の変形を回避するように選択したオフセット距離だけ該前縁(30)から間隔を置いた少なくとも1つの残留圧縮応力のバニシング加工セクション(68)を形成する段階と、
を含む方法。 - 前記オフセット距離が、少なくとも0.76mmである、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記バニシング加工する段階の間に、曲げ応力に対して前記翼形部(22)を支持する段階をさらに含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記翼形部(22)が、該翼形部(22)の端縁に接触する実質的に剛性のビーム(60)を含む固定具によって支持される、請求項3記載の方法。
- 前記バニシング要素(42)が、静水圧によって前記翼形部(22)に対して荷重を加える回転球である、請求項1記載の方法。

該翼形部(22)の厚さが、前記正圧側面(38)及び負圧側面(40)間に形成され、
該翼形部(22)が、前記正圧側面(38)及び負圧側面(40)の選択した1つから内向きに延びる少なくとも1つの残留圧縮応力のバニシング加工セクション(68)を含み、
前記バニシング加工セクション(68)が、前記前縁(30)に隣接して位置しかつ該前縁(30)の変形を回避するように選択したオフセット距離だけ該前縁(30)から間隔を置いている、
翼形部(22)。 - 前記オフセット距離が、少なくとも0.76mmである、請求項6記載の翼形部(22)。
- 前記バニシング加工セクション(68)が、約6.4mmの軸方向長さを有する、請求項6記載の翼形部(22)。
- ダブテール(28)と前記ダブテール(28)から半径方向外側に延びる翼形部(22)とを有し、前記翼形部(22)が根元(36)と先端(34)との間で延びる対向する前縁及び後縁(30、32)を有するガスタービンブレードをバニシング加工するための装置であって、
前記圧縮機ブレード(20)のダブテール(28)に相補形の横方向ダブテールスロット(56)がその上面に形成された基台(54)と、
前記ダブテールスロット(56)の後方に配置され、前記基台(54)から上向きに延びかつ全体的に前記ダブテールスロット(56)に面した支持面(62)を含むビーム(60)であって、前記ブレード(20)を固定具(52)内に装填した時に、前記支持面(62)が前記翼形部(22)の後縁(32)に接触しかつ該後縁(32)に対して支持を与えることになるように、前記ダブテールスロット(56)に対して配置されたビーム(60)と、
前記ビーム(60)に対して前記翼形部(22)を固定するためのクランプ装置と、
を含む装置。 - 前記クランプ装置が、前記ビーム(60)の上端部に取付けられたL字形クランプバー(64)を含む、請求項9記載の装置。
