Abstract
Description
オーバーコート層溶液を、ニコチン酸メチルおよび酸触媒(p−トルエンスルホン酸)の溶液をアルコール溶媒中のメトキシメチルブトキシメチルメラミン、フェノール樹脂、および正孔輸送分子と混合することによって調製した。得られたオーバーコート層溶液を調製直後と、次に40℃で16分間の促進エージング後にゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィーにより分析した。その溶液中のオリゴマー含量の百分率を計算した。それを表1に示す。
オーバーコート層溶液を、マスキング剤のニコチン酸メチルを除いて実施例1のように調製した。得られたオーバーコート層溶液を調製直後と、次に40℃で16分間の促進エージング後にゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィーにより分析した。その溶液中のオリゴマー含量の百分率を計算した。それを表1に示す。
オーバーコート層溶液を実施例1のようにして調製した。そのオーバーコート層溶液を感光体装置上に塗布し、125℃で2分間硬化した。その感光体の電気的特性を次に分析した。その結果を表2に示す。この結果から、ニコチン酸メチルの含有は、Vrの小さい変化によって明白なように装置の電気的特性に悪影響を及ぼさず、同時に保存寿命の安定性を増すことが明らかである。
オーバーコート層溶液を実施例1のようにして調製した。そのオーバーコート層溶液を10日間エージングし、感光体装置上にコートし、125℃で2分間硬化した。その感光体の電気的特性を次に分析した。その結果を表2に示す。
好ましいマスキング剤はニコチン酸メチルである。好ましい酸触媒は、1から約30個の炭素原子を有する有機スルホン酸である。好ましいスルホン酸はトルエンスルホン酸である。
Claims (3)
- 基板と、
電荷発生層と、
電荷輸送層と、
オーバーコート層と、を有する電子写真画像形成部材であって、
前記オーバーコート層は、少なくとも電荷輸送成分、硬化剤、ポリマーバインダー、酸触媒、およびマスキング剤を含有するポリマー樹脂組成物から形成されたフィルムを含み、
前記マスキング剤は、化合物A、化合物B、および化合物Aのアシル化誘導体からなる群から選択され、
前記化合物Aは、構造式(I):
前記化合物Bは、構造式(II):
- 電子写真画像形成部材を形成する方法であって、
基板、電荷発生層、および電荷輸送層を含む電子写真画像形成部材を準備するステップと、
その上に、電荷輸送成分、硬化剤、ポリマーバインダー、酸触媒、およびマスキング剤を含むポリマー樹脂組成物から形成されたフィルムを含むオーバーコート層を形成するステップと、
該オーバーコート層を加熱によって硬化するステップと
を含み、
前記マスキング剤は、化合物A、化合物B、および化合物Aのアシル化誘導体からなる群から選択され、
