Abstract
【解決手段】車両の乗員検知装置は、
車室内の乗員を含む領域を撮像する撮像素子21と、撮像素子21の撮像領域を含む車室内に補助光23を発光する発光素子22とを備えた車両の乗員検知装置であり、さらに撮像素子で得られた撮像情報を記憶する記憶部41と、撮像素子による再度の撮像で得られた撮像情報と記憶部に記憶された撮像情報とを比較する比較部42と、比較部で得られた撮像情報の差分(D)に基づき撮像情報の異常を判断する異常判定部43とを備えるように構成される。

Description
。差分Dにおける各画素ごとの差分値が閾値Dthと比較される。差分Dが閾値Dth以下である場合には、撮像素子21の撮像で得られた撮像情報が異常であると判定される(ステップS16)。これは、仮に撮像素子21が正常であるならば、補助光の条件を異ならせて撮像を行った結果得られた2つの画像データには所定の差分、すなわち閾値Dthよりも大きな差分(D)が生じるはずであったにも拘らず、当該差分が生じないのは撮像情報に異常があると判断するのが妥当だからである。

Claims (6)
- 車室内の乗員を含む領域を撮像する撮像素子と、
前記撮像素子の撮像領域を含む前記車室内に補助光を発光する発光素子とを備えた車両の乗員検知装置であって、
前記撮像素子で得られた撮像情報を記憶する記憶手段と、
前記撮像素子による再度の撮像で得られた撮像情報と、前記記憶手段に記憶された前記撮像情報とを比較する比較手段と、
前記比較手段で得られた撮像情報の差分に基づき前記撮像情報の異常を判断する異常判定手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする車両の乗員検知装置。 - 前記発光素子を複数備え、
前記比較手段は、前記発光素子の一部点灯状態での前記撮像素子による前記撮像情報と、前記発光素子の全部点灯状態での前記撮像素子による前記撮像情報とを比較することを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両の乗員検知装置。 - 前記比較手段は、少なくとも1つの前記発光素子の弱光量で点灯した状態での前記撮像素子による前記撮像情報と、少なくとも1つの前記発光素子を前記弱光量よりも大きな所定の光量で点灯した状態における前記撮像素子による前記撮像情報とを比較することを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両の乗員検知装置。
- 前記発光素子の所定の点灯状態での前記撮像素子による前記撮像情報における輝度情報に基づいて、前記発光素子の異常を判定する発光素子異常判定手段を備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の車両の乗員検知装置。
- 前記異常判定手段から出力される判定信号に基づき前記撮像情報の異常を報知する報知手段を備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の車両の乗員検知装置。
- 前記異常判定手段によって前記撮像情報が異常であると判定されたとき、乗員判定動作を無効化する無効化手段を備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の車両の乗員検知装置。
