Description

The present invention relates to a waterproof structure for a housing in a portable electronic device or the like.

As a waterproof structure of a portable transmitter, there is a structure in which a peripheral end of a waterproof cover is disposed between two divided cases and the waterproof cover is sandwiched between the two cases (see Patent Documents 1 and 2). .
As a waterproof structure of the balance, there is also a waterproof structure in which an end portion of the waterproof diaphragm is press-fitted into a recessed engagement groove provided in the case (see Patent Document 3).
JP-A-11-288635 JP 2004-31621 A JP 2003-322556 A

However, as in the structure of Patent Documents 1 and 2, when the end of the waterproof cover is sandwiched from above and below by two divided cases, the divided case is fixed because the elastic force acts in the vertical (up and down) direction. To do so, a large number of screws or a large number of hooks are required.
Further, as in the structure of Patent Document 3, if the end portion of the waterproof diaphragm is simply press-fitted into the recessed engagement groove provided in the case, the end portion of the waterproof diaphragm is detached due to vibration or the like, and the waterproof function is impaired. There was a risk of getting lost.

The problem of the present invention is that the waterproof structure of the housing can be easily done with a screw with little fixing of the divided housing, and water does not easily enter the housing without removing the waterproof member due to vibration or the like. Further, since the waterproof member is prevented from coming off, the waterproof member is not detached by vibration or the like, and a waterproof structure in which water does not easily enter the housing can be obtained.

(Embodiment 1)
Hereinafter, the best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a configuration of an embodiment to which the present invention is applied. 1 is a first housing, 2 is a second housing, 3 is an interior product, 4 is a waterproof member, and 5 is an exterior product.
In this embodiment, the waterproof structure is applied to the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 that constitute the display-side main body of the foldable mobile phone. The interior product 3 accommodated between the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 is composed of a liquid crystal display panel 31, a shield case 32, and the like. The waterproof member 4 is a film-like rubber packing. As a material of the waterproof member 4, polybutadiene, polyacrylonitrile, polychloroprene, polyisoprene, or the like can be used.
The exterior product 5 has a hinge piece 52 on one end side of the transparent panel 51 and a pair of left and right screw blindfolds 53 on the other end side.

The display side main body is connected to an operation side main body (not shown) via a biaxial hinge portion. With the biaxial hinge portion, the display-side body is opened with respect to the operation-side body around the first hinge axis (used state), and the display-side body is folded over the operation-side body and closed around the first hinge axis. In addition to the state (non-use state), the display-side main body can be rotated 180 degrees around the second hinge axis so that the display unit is turned to the front side (camera photography or television viewing state).

Specifically, the first casing 1 and the second casing 2 accommodate the interior parts 3 such as the liquid crystal display panel 31 and the shield case 32, and the four corners are coupled by screws (not shown).
Then, the exterior product 5 is attached to the outer surface of the second housing 2. That is, on the outer surface of the second housing 2, the transparent panel 51 is pasted around the opening 21 where the display screen of the liquid crystal display panel 31 is located with the double-sided tape 6 (see FIG. 4), The hinge piece 52 and a pair of left and right screw blindfolds 53 on the other end side are similarly attached with a double-sided tape (not shown), thereby waterproofing.

The waterproof member 4 includes a flat part 41 and a peripheral wall part 42 that cover the interior parts 3 such as the liquid crystal display panel 31 and the shield case 32 as shown in the drawing, and a peripheral edge that protrudes in parallel in a flange shape on the outer periphery of the peripheral wall part 42 Part 43 is included.
As shown in FIG. 2, the waterproof portion 4 has a flat portion 41 having a recessed portion mounting portion 47 formed substantially at the center of the outer surface. The light guide plate 7 is insert-molded in the mounting portion 47. In other words, the waterproof member 4 is made of transparent rubber, but when the liquid crystal display panel 31 is high definition, the light guide plate 7 is inserted almost at the center of the flat portion 41 to make the display easy to see. Therefore, at the time of molding, the light guide plate 7 is set on the outer surface side of the mold and insert molding is performed.
Thus, by integrally forming the light guide plate 7 on the flat surface portion 41 of the waterproof member 4 by insert molding, for example, the waterproof member 4 is provided with an opening window and the light guide plate is assembled. The waterproof performance can be stabilized by reducing the thickness of the waterproof construction part and the number of parts.

An electromagnetic shield 8 is formed on almost the entire inner surface of the flat portion 41 of the waterproof member 4. That is, the electromagnetic shield 8 is formed by setting the silver sheet (or metal plate) 8 on the inner surface side of the flat surface portion 41 and performing insert molding in the mold during molding.
As described above, the silver shield (or metal plate) 8 is insert-molded on the inner surface of the flat surface portion 41 of the waterproof member 4 and the electromagnetic shield 8 is integrally formed, so that it is conventionally applied to the inner surface of the first housing 1. Processes such as silver deposition can be reduced.

Moreover, as shown in FIG.3 and FIG.4, the 2nd housing | casing 2 is formed with the recessed part 23 which press-fits the peripheral part 43 of the waterproof member 4, and the surrounding wall of the waterproof member 4 over the perimeter. A planar support portion 24 that supports the end surface of the portion 42 is formed. A guide portion 22 that protrudes toward the first housing 1 is formed at substantially the center of the left and right side portions of the recess 23.
Further, as shown in FIG. 2, a pair of engaging claws 26 positioned on the outer peripheral side of the recess 23 are formed on both the left and right sides of the second housing 2 so as to protrude.

The first casing 1 is formed with an inner peripheral portion 12 over the entire periphery thereof, and a peripheral portion 43 that is press-fitted into the concave portion 23 of the waterproof member 4 at the end face of the inner peripheral portion 12. A restricting portion 13 that prevents the peripheral edge from coming off is formed at a position opposite to.
Further, as shown in FIG. 1, an illuminating unit 17 that displays a logo or the like is formed on the light guide plate 7 of the waterproof member 4 at substantially the center of the first housing 1.
Note that a pair of engagement claws (not shown) that respectively engage with the engagement claws 26 of the second housing 2 protrude from the left and right side portions of the first housing 1.

Next, how to combine the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 will be described.
First, the waterproof member 4 is attached to the inside of the second housing 2 that houses the interior parts 3 such as the liquid crystal display panel 31 and the shield case 32. That is, the flat part 41 of the waterproof member 4 is put on the interior 3, and both side parts of the peripheral wall part 42 are put on the outside of the guide part 22 of the second housing 2, and after being put inside the engaging claw 26. The peripheral edge 43 is press-fitted into the recess 23 of the second housing 2.

Then, the first housing 1 is put on the second housing 2 and the waterproof member 4. That is, the first casing 1 is overlapped on the flat surface portion 41 of the waterproof member 4 so that the inner peripheral portion 12 is covered on the outer side of the peripheral wall portion 42 of the waterproof member 4, and the first casing 1 is placed on the peripheral portion 43 of the waterproof member 4. The regulation part 13 is overlapped. At this time, the engaging claws of the first housing 1 are engaged with the engaging claws 26 at both the left and right side portions of the second housing 2 to be in a combined state. Thereafter, the four corners of the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 are coupled to each other by screws (not shown).

3 and 4 show the waterproof structure, and the peripheral wall portion 42 that bends inward from the peripheral edge 43 of the waterproof member 4 and rises toward the first housing 1 side is provided in the second housing. It is guided between the two inner peripheral portions 12 and the guide portions 22 on both the left and right sides of the first housing 1. Then, the peripheral edge 43 of the waterproof member 4 is press-fitted into the recess 23 of the second housing 2, and the peripheral edge 43 is pressed by the restriction portion 13 of the first housing 1 at a position facing the recess 23. This prevents it from coming off. Further, the end surface of the peripheral wall portion 42 of the waterproof member 4 is supported by the support portion 24 of the second housing 2. Further, the flat surface portion 41 of the waterproof member is supported by the guide portions 22 on the left and right side portions of the second housing 2.

As described above, when the waterproof member 4 is assembled in the process of combining the first housing 1 and the second housing 2, the guide portions 22 on both the left and right sides of the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 are combined. The inner peripheral portion 12 can be used as a guide for easy work.
Moreover, it can prevent by the guide part 22 of the both sides | surfaces part of the 2nd housing | casing 2 shaking the surrounding wall part 42 of the waterproof member 4. FIG.
And it can prevent that the plane part 41 of a waterproof member shakes by the support of the guide part 22 of the right-and-left both sides of the 2nd housing | casing 2. FIG.

Therefore, in FIG. 4, the elastic force does not act in the vertical (vertical) direction as in the prior art, and no repulsive force is generated between the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 to be fixed. In the embodiment, the first casing 1 and the second casing 2 which are divided by the four screws and the engaging claws can be easily fixed. In addition, since the waterproof member 4 is prevented from coming off, the waterproof member 4 does not come off due to vibration or the like, and a reliable waterproof can be achieved.
In addition, since the waterproof structure does not work in the vertical (vertical) direction and the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 do not need to have more rigidity than necessary, the thickness of the housing is reduced. Thinning and miniaturization can be achieved.

It should be noted that the peripheral wall portion 42 of the waterproof member 4 is not only guided but also sandwiched between the inner peripheral portion 12 of the second housing 2 and the guide portions 22 on both the left and right sides of the first housing 1. In this case, waterproofness is further improved.

In the embodiment, a logo or the like can be displayed by illumination from the light guide plate 7 of the waterproof member 4 in the illumination unit 17 at the substantially center of the first housing 1.

(Embodiment 2)
The waterproof structure of the housing according to the second embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. Unlike the first embodiment, the waterproof structure according to the second embodiment has a metal plate 110.

As shown in FIG. 5, the metal plate 110 has a substantially rectangular shape in plan view. However, in the rectangular shape, the upper two corners in FIG. 5 and the central part of the lower side in FIG. 5 are cut out. Thereby, the metal plate 110 is provided with the notches 110a and 110a and the notches 110b at the indicated points, and is formed with a thickness of 1.0 to 5.0 mm.
In FIG. 5, in order to emphasize the presence of the notches 110a and 110b, the contour shape when the notches are not present is indicated by broken lines.

As shown in the lower left part in FIG. 5, a substantially rectangular window 511 is formed on the metal plate 110. The window 511 is formed in the formation region of the convex portion 514 formed to provide a step in the metal plate 110.

Further, the metal plate 110 is provided with convex portions 512 and 513 similar to the above-described convex portion 514. These convex portions 512 and 513 can be provided in accordance with, for example, the arrangement of various relatively thick elements included in the electric circuit board incorporated in the housing. That is, where the convex portions 512 and 513 should be placed on the metal plate 110 can be freely set according to the arrangement of the elements or the like (this situation also applies to the convex portion 514).
Due to the presence of the convex portions 512 to 514, the strength of the metal plate 110 is increased as compared with a simple flat metal plate.

Further, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the metal plate 110 has engagement walls 111 at the left and right side edges. The engagement wall 111 rises vertically when viewed from the flat plate-like portion that occupies most of the metal plate 110. The engagement wall 111 is used when joining the sheet-like packing 112. The metal plate 110 is preferably made of a metal that hardly rusts, such as stainless steel.

On the other hand, the sheet-like packing 112 has a substantially rectangular shape that is slightly larger than the outer shape of the metal plate 110 in plan view, as shown in FIG. More specifically, the length of the sheet-like packing 112 in the width direction (the left-right direction in FIG. 5) is substantially the same as that of the metal plate 110, and the length in the direction perpendicular to the width direction is metal. It is larger than that of the plate 110. The sheet packing 112 has an opening 529 in which the metal plate 110 is disposed. The opening 529 is slightly smaller than the metal plate 110, and the peripheral edge of the metal plate 110 is joined to the peripheral edge of the opening 529 of the sheet-like packing 112.

The sheet-like packing 112 has a peripheral edge 43 so as to surround its outline. When the metal plate 110 is disposed in the opening 529, the peripheral edge 43 rises vertically from the flat plate-like portion of the metal plate 110. The rising direction of the peripheral edge 43 is the same as the rising direction of the engagement wall 111 (see FIG. 6). Moreover, the width | variety of the intermediate part of the peripheral part 43 is wider than the width | variety of the recessed part 23 (refer FIG. 6). As shown in FIG. 6, the recess 23 has a recess 231 into which a protrusion can be inserted inside the recess 23. The peripheral portion 43 has a protrusion 441 that can be engaged with the recess 231. By engaging the projection 441 and the recess 231, the peripheral edge 43 is prevented from coming out of the recess 23. The peripheral portion 43 plays a major role in preventing water immersion.

Further, the sheet-like packing 112 has a belt-like protrusion 522 and six drain grooves 522G. As shown in FIG. 5, the belt-like protrusion 522 has substantially the same shape as the upper side of the metal plate 110 in the drawing. Note that the protruding direction of the belt-like protrusion 522 is opposite to the direction in which the peripheral edge 43 rises.

The drainage groove 522G is formed by cutting off a part of the belt-like protrusion 522 at four locations. A place where the metal plate 110 is present and a place opposite to the place with the band-shaped protrusion 522 interposed therebetween (in FIG. 5, a place located in the upper part in the drawing) communicate spatially through the drainage groove 522G.

The sheet packing 112 is made of an elastic resin (for example, silicon rubber, polyethylene elastomer resin, etc.). The peripheral portion 43 is preferably made of a resin having an elastic deformation capability of a certain degree or more, particularly preferably silicon rubber.

As shown in FIG. 5, the waterproof member 4 is formed by disposing the metal plate 110 with respect to the opening 529 of the sheet packing 112.

In this case, in order to join the sheet packing 112 and the metal plate 110, one of the optimum means is to use an insert molding method. Here, the insert molding is a method of obtaining a molded product in which the metal material and the resin material are integrated by injecting a resin after inserting a metal material or the like into a mold having a predetermined shape. Regarding the present embodiment, as a metal material, a metal plate 110 previously formed into a shape as shown in FIG. 5 is prepared, and the shape of the mold is substantially the same as the shape of the sheet-like packing 112 as shown in FIG. Shape to match. The arrangement relationship of the engagement walls 111 in the mold is appropriately determined. Then, as shown in FIG. 6, the engagement wall 111 and the sheet-like packing 112 are joined, and the metal plate 110 and the sheet-like packing 112 are joined.

Next, the mode etc. at the time of assembling the waterproof member 4 to a mobile phone will be described.
First, the waterproof member 4 is placed on the inner surface of the second casing 2 of the mobile phone on which an electric circuit board or the like has been installed. The peripheral portion 43 is placed so as to be positioned on the concave portion 23 of the second housing 2, and the peripheral portion 43 is pushed into the concave portion 23 with a finger (see FIG. 6). Thereby, the protrusion 441 provided on the side surface of the peripheral edge 43 enters the recess 231 provided on the lateral wall of the recess 23, and the protrusion 441 and the recess 231 are engaged. Then, the peripheral edge 43 is difficult to be removed from the recess 23. Subsequently, the first housing 1 is disposed so as to overlap the waterproof member 4. Then, a sealing protrusion 136 provided at a position of the first housing 1 in contact with the peripheral wall portion 42 is positioned on the peripheral edge portion 43 and the concave portion 23.

In this state, the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 are screwed. As a result, the sealing protrusion 136 further pushes the peripheral edge 43 into the recess 23. Then, the sealing protrusion 136 prevents the peripheral edge 43 from being lifted or removed from the recess 23. A force (first force) acts on the peripheral portion 43 in the direction of the arrow shown in FIG.

At the upper end of the peripheral portion 43 in the figure, a force that presses the peripheral portion 43 downward acts. As a result, the first force is received by the bottom of the recess 23, and the peripheral portion 43 is made of the elastically deformable resin material as described above. Therefore, in the vicinity of the lower end of the peripheral portion 43, FIG. As shown in FIG. 3, a force acts as if it is diffused in the radial direction. As a result of the peripheral edge 43 being compressed in the radial direction, the adhesion between the peripheral edge 43 and the recess 23 is enhanced.

The peripheral edge 43 is made of an elastically deformable resin material, the width of the peripheral edge 43 is substantially the same as the width of the recess 23, and the width of the recess 23 is larger than the width of the sealing protrusion 136. And the compression action in the radial direction is most suitably exhibited. The “width” here means the length in the horizontal direction in the drawing in FIG. The width of the recess 23 and the width of the sealing protrusion 136 may be substantially the same.

Therefore, according to the waterproof structure of the housing according to the present embodiment, the peripheral portion 43 and the concave portion 23 are in close contact with each other, so that it has a very effective waterproof function. That is, as a result of receiving the force of the sealing protrusion 136, the peripheral edge portion 43 receives a reaction force in which the lower end portion diffuses in the radial direction and is thereby compressed in the radial direction from the side wall of the recess 23. The peripheral edge 43 and the recess 23 are effectively waterproofed because the adhesion is thus improved.

Since the reaction force compressed in the radial direction is received from the side wall of the recess 23, the adhesion between the peripheral edge 43 and the recess 23 is maintained even if the second housing 2 is subjected to deformation such as twisting. That is, in the present embodiment, even if the second housing 2 is deformed, there is a very low possibility that water will be flooded.

Moreover, in this embodiment, the assembly | attachment operation | work of the 1st housing | casing 1 is easy. This is because the waterproof member 4 has a plate-like form as a whole and has relatively large rigidity and is difficult to be deformed. The assembling work of the waterproof member 4 is merely required to place the peripheral edge portion 43 in the concave portion 23 and push the peripheral edge portion 43 into the concave portion 23, so that it is not necessary to pay special attention. The superiority of this embodiment is more conspicuous when compared with the case of an annular packing that has been widely used and is relatively easily deformable.
For the same reason, the work of assembling the waterproof member 4 is easy, and there is almost no risk of variations in yield of mass-produced mobile phones, and the waterproofness of the housing is maintained.

Furthermore, in the present embodiment, since the waterproof member 4 includes the metal plate 110, the overall rigidity of the waterproof member 4 is improved and the entire waterproof member 4 can be made thin.
As described above, since the metal plate 110 is provided, the waterproof member 4 or the first housing 1 is thinned, and thus the entire mobile phone is reduced in size. Furthermore, the assembly work of the housing is facilitated.
Since the convex portions 513 to 514 are formed on the metal plate 110, the strength of the metal plate 110 is high. Therefore, the rigidity of the waterproof member 4 as a whole is maintained and improved.

Next, the metal plate 110 has a shielding function. That is, by arranging the electric circuit board in the vicinity of the waterproof member 4 so as to face the waterproof member 4, for example, the metal plate 110 can shield the noise generated or generated therefrom.
Therefore, the mobile phone according to the present embodiment operates more accurately without being affected by noise or the like. The metal plate 110 can be grounded by an appropriate means.

(Embodiment 3)
FIG. 7 shows a cross section of the waterproof structure of the housing according to the third embodiment of the present invention. Unlike the first embodiment, the waterproof structure according to the third embodiment is provided with a metal plate 110 at a position extending from the peripheral wall 42 to the inside of the housing and substantially horizontally. The metal plate 110 is made of stainless steel. The metal plate 110 is formed with a thickness of 1.0 to 5.0 mm.

The metal plate 110 is bent toward the second housing 2 side at a predetermined distance inner position 115 from the end portion 114, and is slightly closer to the first housing 1 side at a position 116 slightly outside the bent position 115. The first hook 120 is bent toward the front. The end portion 121 of the first hook 120 protrudes from the peripheral wall portion 42 by a predetermined distance.

The second casing 2 is formed with a recess 23 provided between a first convex body 28 on the outer side of the casing and a second convex body 29 on the inner side of the casing. As shown in FIG. 7, the protruding tip of the first convex body 28 forms a hook-shaped second hook 130.

As shown by an arrow in FIG. 7, the waterproof member 4 is prevented from being detached from the second housing 2 by the engagement of the second hook 130 and the first hook 120.

Next, how the first casing 1 and the second casing 2 are combined in the waterproof structure according to the third embodiment will be described. However, the points common to the combination method in the waterproof structure according to the first embodiment are omitted.
First, the waterproof member 4 is attached to the inside of the second housing 2 in which the interior product 3 is accommodated. That is, the peripheral edge 43 is press-fitted into the recess 23 of the second housing 2, and the first hook 120 protruding from the peripheral wall 42 is engaged with the second hook 130. In order to engage the first hook 120 with the second hook 130, the waterproof member 4 is pushed into the second housing 2 with the end 121 of the first hook 120 slightly biased toward the inside of the housing.

Then, the first housing 1 is put on the second housing 2 and the waterproof member 4. Thereafter, the four corners of the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 are coupled to each other by screws (not shown).

The inner end portion 44 of the peripheral wall portion 42 of the waterproof member 4 is supported by the second convex body 29 of the second housing 2.

As described above, in the process of combining the first housing 1 and the second housing 2, the assembling work of the waterproof member 4 is performed by attaching the first hook 120 protruding from the peripheral wall portion 42 of the waterproof member 4 to the second housing. Since it is only engaged with the 2nd hook 130 provided in the front-end | tip of the 2nd 1st convex body 28, it can carry out easily.
In addition, since the first hook 120 and the second hook 130 are engaged, the waterproof member 4 is unlikely to come off the second housing 2.
Since the end 121 of the first hook 120 is urged to the outside of the housing by the elasticity of the metal, and the urging force of the end 121 to the outside of the housing is received by the surface 131 of the second hook 130, the waterproof member 4 can be prevented from swaying from side to side.

Therefore, since no repulsive force is generated between the first casing 1 and the second casing 2 as in the prior art, the first casing 1 and the second casing 2 can be easily fixed with a small number of screws. .

(Embodiment 4)
In the fourth embodiment, unlike the third embodiment, as shown in FIG. 8, the waterproof member 4 includes a flat portion 41 extending from the peripheral wall portion 42 to the inside of the housing and substantially horizontally. The metal plate 110 is integrally provided on the second housing 2 side of the flat portion 41. With this configuration, the waterproof member 4 can be elastically adhered to the first housing 1 at the flat surface portion 41.

(Embodiment 5)
In the fifth embodiment, unlike the third and fourth embodiments, there is provided a structure for reducing the influence of pressure, which makes it difficult to cause deformation or cracking of the casing due to the effect of high or low pressure inside the casing.
As shown in FIG. 9, the structure for reducing the influence of pressure is such that the first opening 140 provided in the central portion of the metal plate 110 and the waterproof member 4 are sandwiched between the first opening 140 of the first housing 1. And an exposed portion 411 of the flat portion 41 which is located between the first opening 140 and the second opening 150 and is exposed to the outside air. The The first opening 140 is an opening having a circular cross section. The second opening 150 is also a circular opening having a cross section having the same diameter as the first opening 140. Since the cross section is a circular opening, cracks from the opening can be made difficult to occur.

Portable electronic devices such as mobile phones can be carried in places of various environments such as extremely cold places and hot places. In such a case, when the pressure in the housing rises or falls, the structure inside the housing receives a force, and as a result, the housing may be deformed or cracked. If a crack or the like occurs in the housing, moisture from the outside enters the housing and the waterproof structure is hindered.
However, when the structure for reducing the pressure influence is provided as in the fifth embodiment, for example, when the outside air temperature is high, the planar portion 41 located between the first opening 140 and the second opening 150 Since the exposed portion 411 expands to the outside of the housing, an increase in pressure inside the housing can be prevented. Thereby, it can be made hard to produce a crack etc. in a case. Therefore, the waterproof structure of the housing according to the present embodiment can be maintained.

(Embodiment 6)
Also in the sixth embodiment, a structure for reducing the influence of pressure is provided, but the structure is different from that of the fifth embodiment. As shown in FIG. 10, in the sixth embodiment, the structure for reducing the effect of pressure has a first opening 140 provided at the center of the metal plate 110 and a first housing 1 at a position overlapping the first opening 140. And a seal 160 formed of an elastic material fitted into the first opening 140. As a material of the seal 160, polybutadiene, polyacrylonitrile, polychloroprene, polyisoprene, or the like can be used. The seal 160 is fitted in the first opening 140 without any gap so that moisture does not enter from the second opening 150.

The flat part 41 is not provided in the waterproof member 4. As shown in FIG. 10, the waterproof member 4 is formed by a metal plate 110 having a first hook 120, and a peripheral wall portion 42 and a peripheral edge portion 43 provided at the end of the metal plate 110. By not providing the flat surface portion 41, the waterproof member 4 can be easily created.

Also in the sixth embodiment, for example, when the outside air temperature is high, the seal 160 expands to the outside of the housing, so that an increase in pressure inside the housing can be prevented. Thereby, it can be made hard to produce a crack etc. in a case.

In the above embodiment, the cellular phone is used. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and may be an electronic device such as a calculator, an electronic dictionary, a clock, a watch, a camera, a PDA, or a wearable personal computer. good.
Further, the shape of the housing and the waterproof member are arbitrary, and it is needless to say that other specific detailed structures can be appropriately changed. For example, a part of the waterproof member 4 corresponding to a display device such as a liquid crystal display panel or an LED may be transparent. Further, the first casing 1 is also made transparent, and an electromagnetic shield (silver sheet or metal plate) 8 is provided on the inner side of the waterproof member 4 as in the embodiment, so that it can correspond to the skeleton of the casing.
Further, when the waterproof member is made of transparent rubber as in the embodiment, the light guide plate may not be inserted. For example, when the character size of the display device is large, when the amount of light from the backlight is sufficient, or when LEDs are used, the light guide plate is not necessary.

In the above-described first embodiment, the waterproof member 4 has a film shape including the peripheral edge portion 43, the peripheral wall portion 42, and the flat surface portion 41. But the waterproof member 4 can also be made into the substantially ring-shaped body comprised without having the plane part 41. FIG.
