Description

The present invention relates to a coating method for coating using a flow coater.

Conventionally, a painting method of an object to be coated using a flow coater is known. For example, as shown in FIG. 5 (a), the coating method is such that a paint is dropped in a curtain form as shown in FIG. 4 from a linear paint discharge port 4 provided in the head 3 of the flow coater 1, and the paint 5 is formed. The object 2 to be coated conveyed by the conveying means is hidden in the paint curtain, whereby a coating film 15 ′ made of the paint 5 is formed on the surface of the object 2 to be coated, for example, FIG. 5B and FIG. The entire surface of the article 2 is painted as shown in FIG. In FIGS. 4 and 5, the paint 5 and the coating film 15 ′ are shown by cross hatching for convenience. 5 is obtained by forming a base coating film 14 on the surface of the substrate 12 in advance.

As this type of flow coater, for example, as shown in Patent Document 1, there is a type in which a plurality of blocking bodies arranged at intervals in the longitudinal direction of a paint discharge port are disposed below the paint discharge port. In this flow coater, the curtain-like paint dropped from the paint discharge port is partially blocked by each blocking body, and a straight stripe pattern (striped pattern) as shown in FIG. Apply.

However, in the coating method shown in Patent Document 1, a straight stripe pattern parallel to the conveyance direction of the object to be coated can be applied. I couldn't.
JP 2002-119906 A

The present invention was invented in view of the above-mentioned conventional problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a coating method capable of painting a desired stripe pattern among straight stripe patterns or meandering stripe patterns on the surface of an object to be coated. It is what.

In order to solve the above problems, the coating method according to the present invention drops the paint 5 in a curtain form from the linear paint discharge port 4 provided in the flow coater 1 and intersects the longitudinal direction of the paint discharge port 4 in plan view. In a coating method in which the coating material 5 dropped from the coating material discharge port 4 is applied to the surface of the object 2 to be transported in the direction of movement, a blocking member that is movable in the longitudinal direction of the coating material discharge port 4 below the coating material discharge port 4 6, the blocking member 6 is provided with a plurality of coating material passage ports 9 in the longitudinal direction of the coating material discharge port 4 for allowing the coating material 5 dropped from the coating material discharge port 4 to partially pass therethrough. The selected state is either a moving state in which the discharge port 4 is moved in the length direction or a stopped state in which the paint discharge port 4 is stopped at an arbitrary position in the length direction. 5 is dropped and cut off Characterized in that it applied to the surface of the coated member 2 to be conveyed paint which has passed through the paint passage opening 9 of timber 6.

By this coating method, when the blocking member 6 is brought into the stopped state at the time of coating, the coating 5 that has passed through each coating passage 9 of the blocking member 6 is applied to the surface of the object 2 in a straight stripe shape. When the blocking member 6 is in the moving state at the time of painting, the paint 5 that has passed through each paint passage port 9 of the blocking member 6 is formed in a stripe shape meandering on the surface of the object 2 to be coated. Can be applied. Therefore, it is possible to apply a desired stripe pattern among straight stripe patterns or meandering stripe patterns on the surface of the object to be coated 2 only by switching between the stopped state and the moving state of the blocking member 6.

In the coating method of the present invention, it is possible to apply a straight stripe pattern or a meandering stripe pattern to the surface of the object to be coated by simply switching between the stopped state and the moving state of the blocking member.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described based on embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings.

A flow coater 1 used in the present invention, like a conventionally known flow coater, has a conveying means (not shown) such as a conveyor for conveying the object 2 in the direction indicated by the arrow A in FIG. A head 3 shown in FIGS. 1 (a) and 2 is provided above an object to be coated 2 conveyed by the conveying means.

The head 3 is long in the left-right direction indicated by an arrow B which is a direction orthogonal to the conveying direction of the article 2 in plan view, and one paint discharge port 4 is formed on the lower surface thereof. The paint discharge port 4 is composed of straight slit holes parallel to the left-right direction in the same manner as the paint discharge port 4 in the conventional flow coater 1 shown in FIG. In the state where the blocking member 6 is not provided, the paint 5 supplied to the head 3 can be continuously dropped in the form of a wide curtain as shown in FIG.

As shown in FIG. 1A, a blocking member 6 that is movable in the longitudinal direction of the paint discharge port 4 is provided at a position below the paint discharge port 4, and the blocking member 6 in this example is the lower end of the head 3. Provided in the department. The opposing surface portion 7 facing the lower surface of the head 3 of the blocking member 6 has a rectangular shape in plan view that is long in the left-right direction, and the length of the opposing surface portion 7 in the longitudinal direction is the same as or longer than the length of the paint discharge port 4.

At a position facing the coating material discharge port 4 on the facing surface portion 7 of the blocking member 6, a plurality of coating material passage ports 9 made of rectangular holes are provided in the left-right direction (that is, in the longitudinal direction of the coating material discharge port 4). The paint passage openings 9 have the same size and the same length, and the front-rear length is larger than the hole width of the paint discharge opening 4. Each paint passage port 9 can partially pass through the paint curtain which is the paint 5 coming out of the paint discharge port 4. Each of the portions between the paint passage openings 9 arranged in a row on the facing surface portion 7 of the blocking member 6 becomes a blocking portion 10 that partially blocks the paint curtain. That is, when the paint 5 falls as a paint curtain from the paint discharge port 4, as shown in FIG. 2, the paint 5 has a portion that passes through the paint passage port 9 and a portion that is received and blocked by the blocking portion 10. Thus, the paint 5 after passing through the blocking member 6 becomes a plurality of narrow thin film-like paints 5.

The blocking member 6 can switch between a moving state that reciprocates in the left-right direction and a stopped state that stops at an arbitrary position in the length direction of the paint discharge port 4, and the paint 5 is dropped from the paint discharge port 4. At the time of painting, any one of the moving state and the stopped state can be selected. For example, the movement of the blocking member 6 is performed by driving means such as a motor, and the switching between the moving state and the stopped state of the blocking member 6 is performed by switching the driving means between driving and stopping.

Next, the coating method of the article 2 to be coated using the flow coater 1 will be described.

An object 2 to be coated by the flow coater 1 is composed of a plate-like base material 12 shown in FIG. 1 (c), and the base material 12 is finally coated by applying the flat surface as shown below. It becomes a painted panel as a typical product. Examples of the base material 12 include a material constituting a main body of a paint panel used around the water such as a wall panel constituting a bathroom wall as a product.

A base coating film 14 is formed by applying an acrylic urethane resin paint, which is a colored paint having high concealment, to the entire surface of the substrate 12 in the thickness direction. In this embodiment, the base material 12 coated with the base coating film 14 on the entire surface is used as the object to be coated 2, and the surface of the object to be coated 2, that is, on the base coating film 14, is already present. The paint 5 is applied by the flow coater 1 described above, whereby a stripe pattern is formed on the surface of the article 2 to be coated.

That is, the paint 5 is dropped from the paint discharge port 4, and the paint 5 is passed through the paint passage ports 9 of the blocking member 6 as described above, and the narrow thin film-like paint that has passed through the paint passage ports 9. 5 is applied onto the surface of the object to be coated 2 conveyed by the conveying means, so that a portion of the surface of the object to be coated 2 positioned below each paint passage 9 is painted and below the blocking portion 10. The portion that is positioned is the portion that is not to be painted, whereby the surface of the object 2 is painted with a stripe pattern. As the paint 5 to be used, for example, an acrylic urethane resin paint which is a colored paint having high viscosity and being difficult to level and having high concealability is used. This is because, by using a highly viscous paint 5, irregularities such as an embossed shape with the coating film 15 made of the paint 5 as a convex portion can be formed on the surface of the object 2 to be coated. As the paint 5, a paint 5 having a low viscosity and good leveling may be used.

Here, in the flow coater 1 used in the present invention, when the stripe pattern is applied to the surface of the object 2 as described above, the shape of the stripe pattern is as shown in FIG. A straight stripe pattern parallel to the conveyance direction 2 and a stripe pattern meandering left and right as shown in FIG. 1B can be selected and painted. 1 to 3, the paint 5 and the coating film 15 formed by the paint are shown by cross hatching for convenience.

Specifically, when a straight stripe pattern is to be formed, the blocking member 6 is stopped at an arbitrary position in the length direction of the paint discharge port 4 during the coating, and a meandering stripe pattern is formed. In this case, the blocking member 6 is moved back and forth in the length direction of the paint discharge port 4 at the time of painting. As a result, in the former case, the paint 5 dropped from the paint discharge port 4 passes through each paint passage port 9 of the blocking member 6 in a stopped state, and is applied to the surface of the article 2 to which the paint 5 is conveyed. Then, a straight stripe pattern as shown in FIG. 3 is applied. In the latter case, the paint 5 dropped from the paint discharge port 4 passes through each paint passage port 9 of the blocking member 6 in a moving state, and the paint 5 is applied to the surface of the object 2 to be conveyed. As shown in FIG. 1B, a wavy stripe pattern is applied.

Further, as a top coat layer (not shown) on the entire surface of the article 2 to which the stripe pattern is applied as described above, for example, a clear type or a color clear type having excellent chemical resistance and stain resistance and low concealment. By applying the acrylic urethane resin paint, which is a paint, the manufacture of a coated panel in which a base coating film 14, a pattern forming coating film 15 for forming a stripe pattern, and a topcoat layer are sequentially applied to the surface of the substrate 12 is completed. . The paint constituting the top coat layer may be an ultraviolet curable UV paint, and may be, for example, a UV curable acrylic clear paint or a UV curable acrylic color clear paint. Further, without providing the top coat layer, the paint 5 may be a color clear paint, and the pattern-forming coating film 15 made of the paint 5 may be the outermost layer.

As described above, in the coating method of the present invention, the paint 5 is dropped from the paint discharge port 4 in a curtain shape, and the blocking member 6 is moved in the length direction of the paint discharge port 4 or the paint discharge port 4 is moved. On the surface of the object 2 to be transported, the paint 5 that has passed through each paint passage port 9 of the blocking member 6 is set to one of the stopped states that are stopped at an arbitrary position in the length direction. Since the coating is applied, when the blocking member 6 is stopped, a straight stripe pattern can be applied to the surface of the object 2 to be coated. When the blocking member 6 is moved, the object 2 to be coated is applied. It is possible to apply a meandering stripe pattern on the surface of the film.

Further, when the blocking member 6 is moved in the longitudinal direction of the paint discharge port 4 as described above, the moving speed of the blocking member 6 can be changed for each object to be coated 2 or at the time of painting each object to be coated 2. For example, a wavy stripe pattern having a desired wavelength can be formed. Further, the amount of movement of the blocking member 6 may be adjustable, and for example, a wavy stripe pattern having a desired amplitude can be formed.

It is also preferable that the blocking member 6 be detachable from the head 3. In this case, for example, the blocking member 6 is removed from the head 3, and the curtain-like paint 5 dropped from the paint discharge port 4 of the head 3 is applied as it is to the object to be transported 2. The whole can be painted uniformly. Further, in particular, when the base coating film 14 is formed on the entire surface of the base material 12 as in the present embodiment, the head 2 from which the blocking member 6 is removed when the base coating film 14 is formed. The coating 5 for forming the base coating film 14 is dropped in the form of a curtain from the coating outlet 4 of the coating 3, and the coating 5 is applied to the surface of the substrate 12 as it is to form the base coating 14. The blocking member 6 is attached to 3 and the straight or meandering stripe pattern described above can be applied.
