Claims (13)
- 導管を通じてサイズ排除フィルタに、前記サイズ排除フィルタを通過するには大きすぎる対象バインダを含む液体を送ることと、

前記サイズ排除フィルタに近い前記導管にX線を送ることと、
前記サイズ排除フィルタに近い前記導管の内部から生成された任意のX線蛍光信号を監視すること
を含むスクリーニング方法。 - 前記サイズ排除フィルタの上流の前記導管にX線を送ることと、前記サイズ排除フィルタの上流の前記導管の内部から生成された任意のX線蛍光信号を監視することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のスクリーニング方法。
- 前記サイズ排除フィルタの下流の前記導管にX線を送ることと、前記サイズ排除フィルタの下流の前記導管の内部から生成された任意のX線蛍光信号を監視することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のスクリーニング方法。
- 前記対象バインダを含む液体と前記一以上の化学物質を含む液体が水溶液を含む、請求項1に記載のスクリーニング方法。
- 前記対象バインダが生物学的処理に関与する、請求項1に記載のスクリーニング方法。
- 前記対象バインダが、酵素、非酵素蛋白質、DNA、RNA、微生物、ヒト細胞、植物細胞及び動物細胞から構成されるグループから選択される、請求項1に記載のスクリーニング方法。
- 前記一以上の化学物質の溶液の化学物質が、八よりも大きい原子番号を有する少なくとも一つの元素を備えている、請求項1に記載のスクリーニング方法。
- 対象バインダと化学物質の間の結合をスクリーニングするための装置であって、
対象バインダと化学物質を含む液体のためのX線透過導管と、
前記対象バインダの流れを実質的に阻止するが前記化学物質の流れを阻止しない、前記導管内部のフィルタと、
前記導管内部の液体の体積を通じてX線ビームを送ることが可能なX線励起源と、
前記導管内部の液体の前記体積から生成されたX線蛍光信号を受け取ることが可能なX線検出器
を備えた装置。 - 前記導管がX線透過毛管を備えている、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記導管が約10,000より小さい係数によりX線蛍光信号を減衰することが可能な導管壁を備えている、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記導管がベリリウム、窒化ホウ素、シリカ又は有機ポリマーを備えている、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記導管を通じて液体を流すためのポンプをさらに備えている、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記フィルタの下流に実質的に置かれた分光計、蛍光計、ガスクロマトグラフ、液体クロマトグラフ、 燃焼分析器又は試料回収器をさらに備えている、請求項8に記載の装置。
