Description
二種のモデル燃料を、従来の米国ガソリンと同等のRONおよび沸点分布を有するように混合した。分子成分は、できる限り、高い燃焼速度を有するこれらの分子を最大化することを基準に選んだ。燃料の組成(全ての値はwt%で表される)および特性を表1に示す。
二種の燃料混合物を、単一の芳香族、オレフィンおよびパラフィン成分を含んで調製した。混合物1は、イソ−オクタン、2,4,4−トリメチル−1−ペンテンおよびm−キシレンからなった。これらは各々“遅い”パラフィン、オレフィンおよび芳香族である。混合物2は、n−ペンタン、1−へキセンおよびイソ−プロピルベンゼンからなった。これらは各々“速い”パラフィン、オレフィンおよび芳香族である。パラフィン、オレフィンおよび芳香族の濃度は、市販ガソリン中のそれに近づけるように選ばれた。これらの燃料の組成を次の表に示す。
Claims (18)
- パラフィン留分、オレフィン留分および芳香族留分を含み、前記芳香族留分は、メチル芳香族および非メチルアルキル芳香族を含み、前記芳香族留分中の非メチルアルキル芳香族の百分率は、少なくとも30vol%であることを特徴とする無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- 前記パラフィン留分は90vol%以下であり、前記オレフィン留分は30vol%以下であり、前記芳香族留分は70vol%以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- 前記芳香族留分中の非メチルアルキル芳香族の百分率は、少なくとも50vol%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- 前記芳香族留分中の非メチルアルキル芳香族の百分率は、少なくとも70vol%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- 前記メチル芳香族留分は、キシレンを含み、前記キシレン留分中のオルト−およびパラ−キシレンの百分率は、少なくとも60vol%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- 前記メチル芳香族留分は、キシレンを含み、前記キシレン留分中のオルト−およびパラ−キシレンの百分率は、少なくとも75vol%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- 前記メチル芳香族留分は、キシレンを含み、前記キシレン留分中のオルト−およびパラ−キシレンの百分率は、少なくとも90vol%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- 1vol%以下のベンゼンおよび30wppm以下の硫黄を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- パラフィン留分、オレフィン留分および芳香族留分を含み、前記芳香族留分は、キシレン留分を含み、前記キシレン留分中のオルト−およびパラ−キシレンの百分率は、少なくとも60vol%であることを特徴とする無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- 前記キシレン留分中のオルト−およびパラ−キシレンの百分率は、少なくとも75vol%であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- 前記キシレン留分中のオルト−およびパラ−キシレンの百分率は、少なくとも90vol%であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- 1vol%以下のベンゼンおよび30wppm以下の硫黄を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の無鉛炭化水素燃料。
- 向上された層流燃焼速度を有する炭化水素燃料の製造方法であって、
パラフィン留分、オレフィン留分および芳香族留分を含み、前記芳香族留分は、メチル芳香族および非メチルアルキル芳香族を含む炭化水素燃料を提供する工程;および
前記芳香族留分中の前記非メチルアルキル芳香族の百分率を少なくとも30vol%に制御する工程
を含むことを特徴とする炭化水素燃料の製造方法。 - 前記芳香族留分中の前記非メチルアルキル芳香族の百分率を少なくとも50vol%に制御する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の炭化水素燃料の製造方法。
- 前記芳香族留分中の前記非メチルアルキル芳香族の百分率を少なくとも70vol%に制御する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の炭化水素燃料の製造方法。
- 向上された層流燃焼速度を有する炭化水素燃料の製造方法であって、
パラフィン留分、オレフィン留分並びにメチル芳香族および非メチルアルキル芳香族を含む芳香族留分を含み、前記メチル芳香族留分は、キシレンを含む炭化水素燃料を提供する工程;および
前記キシレン留分中のオルト−およびパラ−キシレンの百分率を少なくとも60vol%に制御する工程
を含むことを特徴とする炭化水素燃料の製造方法。 - 前記キシレン留分中のオルト−およびパラ−キシレンの百分率を少なくとも75vol%に制御する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の炭化水素燃料の製造方法。
- 前記キシレン留分中のオルト−およびパラ−キシレンの百分率を少なくとも90vol%に制御する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の炭化水素燃料の製造方法。
