Abstract
Description
Claims (19)
- 付属肢の生理学パラメータを測定するためのカフであって、
内面および対向した端部を有する中空の堅いチューブと、
内面、外面、および対向した端部を有する袋と、を含み、
袋の端部は、チューブの端部に密閉されて、袋の内面とチューブの内面との間に密閉内部容積を、また、袋の外面によって画定され、且つ内部容積に取り囲まれた外部容積を作り、袋は、内部容積が流体で満たされた通常の弛緩状態と、内部容積から流体が抜かれる収縮状態とを有する、
ことを特徴とするカフ。 - 袋は、形状が管状であり、袋の端部は、チューブの端部に重なっている、
請求項1に記載のカフ。 - 袋の厚さは、袋の端部がチューブの端部に重なる部分よりも大きい、
請求項2に記載のカフ。 - 袋は、端部の間の中央部分と、端部と中央部分の間の移行領域と、を有し、袋の厚みは、移行領域においてより大きい、
請求項2に記載のカフ。 - チューブを貫いて延び、内部容積と連通する流体ポートをさらに含み、この流体ポートを通って内部容積を流体で満たすことができ、または空にすることができる、
請求項1に記載のカフ。 - 直径方向に向かい合った位置で、互いに平行に、且つチューブの長手方向軸線に平行に、袋の内面に配置された二つの補強リブをさらに含む、
請求項1に記載のカフ。 - 袋は、通常の弛緩状態では、測定されるべき付属肢のタイプのうち最も小さい直径よりも小さい内径を有する、
請求項1に記載のカフ。 - 袋は、内径を、少なくとも測定されるべき付属肢のタイプのうち最も大きい直径まで伸ばせる材料で作られる、
請求項7に記載のカフ。 - 材料は、元の直径の約2倍から約3倍に伸びることができ、且つ変形なしに元の直径に戻ることができる、
請求項8に記載のカフ。 - 袋は、薄肉のゴムおよび薄肉のシリコーンゴムからなる群から選択された材料で作られる、
請求項1に記載のカフ。 - 材料は、0.012インチないし0.016インチの厚さを有し、且つ高い引き裂き強さを有する、
請求項10に記載のカフ。 - 密閉内部容積内に位置決めされた複数のエミッタおよび検出器をさらに含む、
請求項6に記載のカフ。 - エミッタおよび検出器は、補強リブの一つに埋設される、
請求項12に記載のカフ。 - 密閉内部容積内に位置決めされた複数のエミッタおよび検出器をさらに含む、
請求項1に記載のカフ。 - エミッタおよび検出器は、袋の内面に配置され、エミッタおよび検出器は、袋を通して光をそれぞれ放出しおよび検出する、
請求項14に記載のカフ。 - 袋の内面に配置された補強リブをさらに含み、エミッタおよび検出器は、補強リブに埋設される、
請求項15に記載のカフ。 - エミッタおよび検出器は、チューブの長手方向軸線と平行に直線状に位置決めされる、
請求項14に記載のカフ。 - エミッタの全ては並んでおり、検出器の全ては並んでいる、
請求項17に記載のカフ。 - 袋は、十分な肉厚を有し、袋材料が、ライトパイピングを減衰するだけでなく付属しないでカフを通して付属肢に光の十分な伝達を許すために、エミッタによって放出された光の特定の波長を吸収するように選択された顔料で着色された材料で作られる、
