Description
可動コイル型の変換器の場合とは異なり、圧電変換器は、振動と関連付けることができる高い慣性質量を有さない。従って、ハウジングが振動して、不要な外部音響放射を生成する可能性がある。このような音響放射の漏洩は、近隣の聴取者を不快し、着用者のプライバシーを低下させる場合があり、オーディオ装置の性能に不利である。従って、本発明の目的は、ハウジングの改良設計を提供することである。
本発明をより理解するために、純粋に例証として、本発明の特定の実施形態を添付図面を関連しながら以下で説明する。

Claims (18)
- 圧電変換器と、
前記変換器をユーザの耳介に結合することにより前記変換器が前記耳介内での振動を励起し、前記変換器からユーザの内耳まで音響信号を伝達する結合手段と、
を備えた音響装置であって、
前記変換器は比較的軟質の材料からなるケーシング内に内蔵され、前記ケーシングが比較的硬質の材料からなるハウジングに装着されて、前記ケーシングと前記ハウジングとの間にキャビティが定められるようにすることを特徴とするオーディオ装置。 - 前記変換器は、ユーザの蝸牛に隣接するユーザの耳介の後部面に結合されるように適合されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオーディオ装置。
- 前記ケーシングと前記ハウジングの結合は、前記変換器から前記ハウジングへの振動の伝達を低減するために最小限にされ、前記ハウジングは、前記ケーシング上の振動が少ない場所で該ケーシングに結合されることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載のオーディオ装置。
- 前記場所は、前記変換器の振動が抑制された領域に接触することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のオーディオ装置。
- 前記場所は前記ケーシングの両端部であることを特徴とする請求項3又は請求項4に記載のオーディオ装置。
- 前記キャビティの機械インピーダンス(Zcavity)が、前記変換器の出力インピーダンスよりも小さいことを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載のオーディオ装置。
- 前記キャビティの機械インピーダンスが、前記耳介のインピーダンス(Zpinna)よりも小さいことを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載のオーディオ装置。
- 前記結合手段は、前記耳介と前記装置間に接触圧をもたらし、これにより前記装置が前記耳介の全機械インピーダンスに結合されるようになることを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載のオーディオ装置。
- 前記結合手段は、上端部が前記耳介の上部面を覆って湾曲するフックの形態であることを特徴とする前記請求項のいずれかに記載のオーディオ装置。
- 前記フックの下端部が、前記耳介の下部面の下に湾曲していることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のオーディオ装置。
- 前記ハウジングは、前記変換器のケーシングが前記耳介の下側部分に接触するように前記フックに装着されることを特徴とする請求項9又は請求項10に記載のオーディオ装置。
- オーディオ装置の設計方法であって、
圧電変換器をユーザの耳介に機械的に結合する段階と、
前記変換器が前記耳介内で励振して前記変換器からユーザの内耳まで音響信号を伝達させるように前記変換器を駆動する段階と、
を含み、
前記変換器を比較的軟質の材料からなるケーシング内に内蔵し、前記ケーシングを比較的硬質の材料からなる保護ハウジングに装着し、その結果、前記ケーシングと前記ハウジングの間にキャビティが定められるようになることを特徴とする方法。 - 不要な放射を低減し、前記変換器を保護し、及び/又は良好な感度並びに帯域幅を確保するように前記キャビティ、ケーシング、及びハウジングのうちの1つ又はそれ以上のパラメータを選択する段階を含む請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記ケーシングとハウジング及び/又は前記キャビティ間の結合が、不要な放射を低減するよう選択されることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記キャビティの機械インピーダンスは、前記変換器の出力インピーダンスよりも小さいように選択されることを特徴とする請求項13又は請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記キャビティの機械インピーダンスは、前記耳介のインピーダンスよりも小さいように選択されることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の方法。
- 各ユーザについて前記オーディオ装置の音響特性を測定する段階と、各個々のユーザについて前記耳介上の前記変換器の位置を調整して前記音響特性を最適化する段階とを含む請求項12乃至16のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記最適位置は、入口を通って三半規管まで延びる水平軸線と前記入口を通って延び且つ前記変換器の中心軸に相当する放射方向の線との間の角度を求めることによって測定されることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の方法。
