Abstract
【解決手段】エンジンECUは、燃料の温度および圧力と燃料の飽和蒸気圧とにより、高温高圧の領域(1)と低温低圧の領域(3)とその間の領域(2)の3つの領域が規定されたマップを記憶する。エンジンECUは、エンジンの始動が要求されると(S100にてYES)、エンジン冷却水温THWおよび燃圧Pを検知して(S200)、領域(2)に属すると(S300にてYES)、プレフィード時間Tを設定して(S400)、燃圧Pが所望の燃圧しきい値P(TH)以上になるまでプレフィードを実行するステップ(S700)と、燃圧Pが燃圧しきい値P(TH)以上になると(S700にてYES)、クランキングを開始するステップ(S800)とを含む、プログラムを実行する。

Description
燃料の温度(エンジン冷却水温で代用される)と燃料の圧力との関係が領域(2)に属する場合(S300にてYES)、プレフィード時間Tが設定される。このとき、燃料配管内ではベーパが発生している状態である。プレフィードが開始されフィードポンプ100が作動する(S500)。
燃料の温度と燃料の圧力との関係が領域(2)に属しないで領域(1)や領域(3)に属する場合(S300にてNO)、プレフィードが行なわれないでフィードポンプ100が作動するとともにクランキングが開始される(S800)。
Claims (3)
- 内燃機関の始動が要求されたときに、燃料温度および燃料圧力を検知するための検知手段と、
前記検知された燃料温度および燃料圧力に基づいて、燃料配管内のベーパの発生を推定するための推定手段と、
前記ベーパが発生していると推定された場合であって、かつ、前記ベーパが前記内燃機関の始動性に影響する場合に、前記内燃機関の燃焼室に燃料を送り込む燃料噴射弁から燃料を噴射して前記内燃機関を始動する前に、前記燃料配管を介して前記燃料噴射弁に燃料を供給する燃料ポンプを予め駆動するように、前記内燃機関を制御するための制御手段とを含み、
前記推定手段は、前記燃料温度および前記燃料圧力と燃料の飽和蒸気圧特性との関係から規定された複数の領域の中の予め定められた領域に、前記検知された燃料温度および燃料圧力が属すると判断された場合に、前記ベーパが発生していると推定するための手段を含む、内燃機関の始動制御装置。 - 前記推定手段は、前記燃料温度および前記燃料圧力がともに高い第1の領域、前記燃料温度が低い第3の領域および前記第1の領域と前記第3の領域との間の第2の領域の3つの領域の中の前記第2の領域に、前記検知された燃料温度および燃料圧力が属すると判断された場合に、前記内燃機関の始動性に影響するベーパが発生していると推定するための手段を含む、請求項1に記載の内燃機関の始動制御装置。
- 前記始動制御装置は、前記ベーパの発生度合いが大きいほど、前記燃料ポンプを予め駆動するプレフィード時間が長くなるように設定するための手段をさらに含む、請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の始動制御装置。
