Abstract
【解決手段】測定用ヘッド1が円筒状のシャンク2を有し、シャンク2がキャリヤー管の内部に測定用ヘッド1のカラー3の縁部がキャリヤー管と当接するまで挿通される。測定用ヘッド1の外側のカラー3の直前の位置には誘導コイル4が配置される。装置を降下させると浴接触子13がスラグ層と接触し、即座に短絡が生じ、装置を更に降下させる間、誘導コイル4が溶湯の伝導面に極めて接近すると直ちに回路8の発振器の振動が強く減衰され、装置を溶湯内に更に降下させると振動が停止する。この減衰がトランジスタによって検出され、相当する電圧変動がスラグ−溶湯−界面と相関され得、2つの信号間の差が降下中の装置の相当位置と直接相関され、装置の高さの差からスラグ層の厚さが算出される。

Description
誘導コイルはその少なくとも側方を、測定用ヘッドの胴部に固定した保護シースで包囲するのが有益である。これにより誘導コイルはスラグの影響から保護される。保護シースは厚紙、セラミック、あるいは融解石英で作製し得、その外側表面を、一般にスラグ層の真上部分における温度あるいはスラグ層の内部温度下に燃焼する厚紙、紙、あるいはその他の材料の層で包囲され得る。そうした材料層は、それが焼尽されることにより、保護シースへのスラグの付着を最大限可能な限り防止する。

Claims (13)
- 金属溶湯の上部のスラグ層の少なくとも一つの界面を決定するための装置であって、
胴部を有する測定用ヘッドをその一端に取り付けたキャリヤー管にして、前記胴部が、その端面をキャリヤー管から遠方側に向けてキャリヤー管に固定したキャリヤー管を含み、
測定用ヘッドの内側に発振器を配置し、該発振器と連結した誘導コイルを前記胴部の外側で且つ前記端面の前方に配置した装置。 - 誘導コイルの少なくともその側方部分が、測定用ヘッドの胴部に固定した保護シースによって包囲される請求項1の装置。
- 保護シースが厚紙、セラミック、または融解石英製のものである請求項2の装置。
- 保護シースの外側の側部が、厚紙、紙、またはその他の燃焼性材料からなる層によって包囲される請求項2または3の装置。
- 保護シースの直径が、誘導コイルの直径の最大で6倍、好ましくは3倍以下の大きさである請求項1〜4の何れかの装置。
- 誘導コイルと発振器との間の距離が最大で5cm、好ましくは3cm以下である請求項1〜5の何れかの装置。
- 発信器を取り付け得る印刷回路基盤を測定用ヘッドの内側に配置し、印刷回路基盤に抵抗器を取付け、キャリヤー管内に配置される接触部材を測定用ヘッドの端部に配置し、該接触部材が、キャリヤー管を通して案内されるランスに測定用ヘッドを電気的に接続するための接触端子を有し、抵抗器が該接触端子の少なくとも一つに接続される請求項1〜6の何れかの装置。
- 測定用ヘッドの胴部の外側で且つ端面の前方に浴接点を配置した請求項1〜7の何れかの装置。
- 測定用ヘッドの内部の、好ましくは印刷回路基盤上に、発信器と連結したAD/コンバーターを連結した請求項1〜8の何れかの装置。
- AD/コンバーターを、測定信号を伝送するための信号ラインに接続した請求項9の装置。
- AD/コンバーターを、印刷回路基盤上の、信号ラインを連結する接点に接続した請求項9の装置。
- AD/コンバーターが電源ラインを有する請求項9〜11の何れかの装置。
- 保護シースの、キャリヤー管から遠方側を向いた端面にカバーを配置し、該カバーを、溶湯の温度下に焼尽され得る材料、特に紙または厚紙製である材料から好ましく作製した請求項2〜12の何れかの装置。
