Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の乗員保護システムは、乗員を保護する乗員保護装置70,71と、車両の横方向の加速度を検出する加速度センサ3および/または車両のロールを検出するロールセンサ4をもつ検出センサと、検出センサの検出信号が入力され、車両の横転または転覆を判定し、横転時に乗員保護装置を作動させる判定手段4,5,6と、を有する乗員保護システム1であって、判定手段は、さらに、検出センサの検出信号から乗員の頭部位置を算出し、乗員の頭部が衝突する部位の乗員保護装置を作動させることを特徴とする。本発明の乗員保護システムは、乗員の頭部が衝突しない部分の乗員保護装置を作動させなくてもよく、不要な乗員保護装置の動作によるその後の修理費の増加が抑えられる。

Description
本実施例の乗員保護システムの構成を図1に示した。
以下に、より具体的な乗員保護システム1の動作を説明する。本実施例の乗員保護システム1の動作のフローチャートを図2に示した。
本実施例の乗員保護システム1は、実施例1の乗員保護システムにさらに、上下方向の加速度を検出する上下加速度センサ8と、回転中心算出用ECU9とを備えたシステムである。本実施例の乗員保護システムの構成を図3に示した。
以下に、より具体的な乗員保護システム1の動作を説明する。本実施例の乗員保護システム1の動作のフローチャートを図5に示した。
上記した各実施例の乗員保護システム1は、シートベルトバックルスイッチ、乗員の着座の有無を検出する検出手段、窓の開閉を検出する検出手段、乗員の頭部位置を検出する乗員頭部位置検出手段、乗員の体格を検出する体格検出手段を備えてもよい。これらの手段を備えたときには、これらの手段の検出結果はECU5,6に送信され、乗員の頭部位置の算出やエアバッグ70,71の展開の制御の判定に参照することができる。

Claims (8)
- 車室内の側面にもうけられた乗員を保護する乗員保護装置と、
車両の横方向の加速度を検出する加速度センサおよび/または該車両のロールを検出するロールセンサをもつ検出センサと、
該検出センサの検出信号が入力され、該車両の横転または転覆を判定し、横転時に該乗員保護装置を作動させる判定手段と、
を有する乗員保護システムであって、
該判定手段は、さらに、該検出センサの該検出信号から乗員の頭部位置を算出し、該乗員の頭部が衝突する部位の該乗員保護装置を作動させることを特徴とする乗員保護システム。 - 前記判定手段は、前記検出センサの前記検出信号から前記乗員の前記頭部位置を算出したときに、該頭部位置と前記乗員保護装置との距離が所定の値以下の時は該乗員保護装置の作動を禁止する請求項1記載の乗員保護システム。
- 前記加速度センサの加速度信号を2段階で積分して得られる横方向変移量と、前記ロールセンサの角速度信号を積分して得られる角度変移量の少なくともひとつを前記検出信号として前記判定手段に入力する請求項1記載の乗員保護システム。
- 前記判定手段は、前記車両の上下方向の加速度、車幅方向の加速度、サスペンションにかかる荷重の少なくともひとつの信号がさらに入力され、入力された信号を参照して該車両の横転または転覆を判定する請求項1記載の乗員保護システム。
- 前記判定手段は、シートベルトバックルスイッチ、乗員の着座の有無、窓の開閉の有無の少なくともひとつの信号がさらに入力され、入力された信号を参照して前記乗員保護装置の作動を制御する請求項1記載の乗員保護システム。
- 前記車室内に乗員の頭部位置を検出する乗員頭部位置検出手段をもち、
前記判定手段は、該乗員頭部位置検出手段からの頭部位置の変化量を算出する請求項1記載の乗員保護システム。 - 前記車室内に乗員の体格を検出する体格検出手段をもち、
前記判定手段は、該体格検出手段からの該乗員の体格による頭部位置の変化量を算出する請求項1記載の乗員保護システム。 - 前記乗員保護装置は、カーテンエアバッグである請求項1記載の乗員保護システム。
