該成形米飯形成機構が、前記第一コンベアと直角に配設されて前記短尺棒状の米飯をその長さ方向に対し直角方向に搬送する第二コンベアと、該第二コンベアによって搬送される短尺棒状の米飯を複数の成形米飯に切断する切断機構とから構成され、
該切断機構が、前記第二コンベアにより搬送されてきた前記短尺棒状の米飯をその進行方向前側で受け止める受止部材と、該受止部材に対して当接離反可能に配設されると共に当接状態において該受止部材との間に前記短尺棒状の米飯が収容される空間を形成する移動部材とからなり、
前記受止部材と前記移動部材の少なくともいずれか一方に、前記空間に収容された短尺棒状の米飯を複数に切断する切断刃が形成されていることを特徴とする成形米飯食品製造装置。
