Abstract
【解決手段】A.遠位端のチップと近位端との間に延びるポリープの付近に到達するためのカテーテル手段と;B.遠方に伸ばしたり引っ込めたりでき、前記カテーテルの前記遠位端を越えて伸ばしたときは広がった状態となり、前記遠位端内に引っ込めたときは締まった状態となる自身で広がる傾向をもつポリープを取り出すための切除および捕捉手段と;C.前記の切除および捕捉手段を前記カテーテルの遠位端に向って選択的に伸ばしたり引っ込めたりするための前記カテーテルの近位端に取り付けられた操作手段とを含むことを特徴とする患者のポリープを切除および捕捉するための装置。

Description
ただし、今日では、外科カテーテルを内視鏡の操作チャネルを通して挿入することに依存するポリープ切除法が採用されている。そして、殆どの場合、切除されるべき一つあるいは複数のポリープが本質的に平坦なためにポリープ切除法が採用できない場合を除いては、外科手術に代わってポリープ切除法が用いられるようになっている。この明細書において使用される内視鏡という用語は、患者の中に挿入されるデバイスであって、外科カテーテル等を受けるための操作チャネルと、管の内側を調べるための観察チャネルとを含む内視鏡あるいは他の類似デバイスを指すのに用いられる。
従来の技術は、いずれも、多様な形状およびサイズのポリープを効果的にかつ確実に切除および捕捉するための、使用が容易で構造が簡単な外科装置を提供するには至っていない。一つのポリープを効率的かつ効果的に捕捉するための、あるいは、複数のポリープを次々と確実に、しかも、個々の特定のポリープとそれらが取られた位置とを対応させるようなやり方で切除および捕捉するための方法および装置についての示唆は存在しない。従来の技術による複数のポリープを採集するためには取出しと挿入を何度も繰り返すことを必要とするデバイスは、さらに、ポリープがしばしば内視鏡の操作チャネルよりも大きなために、内視鏡についても取出しと挿入を何度も繰り返すことを必要とする。このように、挿入と取出しが何度も行なわれるために、ポリープ切除のための時間が増加するばかりか、これに伴う外傷の危険性も増加する。
いったん、切除デバイス13および捕捉デバイス14を遠位端12から突き出るように伸ばしたら、外科医は、切除デバイス13を操作して、切除デバイス13がポリープ28の基部30の周囲を取り巻くようにする。切除デバイスを適当に操作して、捕捉デバイス14も、図1および図2に示されるような位置に移動させる。外科医は、次に、ケーブル15を遠位端12から手前に引っ込める。具体的には、スライド部材17(図1)を、遠位位置から位置17’に移動させることで、カテーテルすなわち管状の部材11を通して切除デバイス13および捕捉デバイス14を手前に引き寄せる。切除デバイス13および捕捉デバイス14を手前に引き寄せると、図3に示すように、切除デバイス13が、ポリープ28の部分31を締め付けて切断し、同時に、切断された部分31は、足26によって捕捉される。こうして、ポリープ28を切除したとき、切除された部分31は、捕捉デバイス14によって捕捉され、カテーテルすなわち管状の部材11を取り出すことによって患者から取り出すことができる。

Claims (1)
- A.遠位端のチップと近位端との間に延びるポリープの付近に到達するためのカテーテル手段と;
B.遠方に伸ばしたり引っ込めたりでき、前記カテーテルの前記遠位端を越えて伸ばしたときは広がった状態となり、前記遠位端内に引っ込めたときは締まった状態となる自身で広がる傾向をもつポリープを取り出すための切除および捕捉手段と;
C.前記の切除および捕捉手段を前記カテーテルの遠位端に向って選択的に伸ばしたり引っ込めたりするための前記カテーテルの近位端に取り付けられた操作手段とを含むことを特徴とする患者のポリープを切除および捕捉するための装置。
