Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a reactor in which a groove is formed in a substrate and a channel is formed between the substrate and the groove by covering the groove with a lid substrate, and a power generation apparatus including the reactor.
In recent years, small reactors called microreactors have been developed and put into practical use. A microreactor is a small reactor that reacts multiple types of raw materials, reagents, fuels, and other reactants while mixing them together. Chemical reaction experiments, drug development, artificial organ development, genome / DNA analysis in the micro domain It is used for tools and basic analysis tools for microfluidics. A chemical reaction using a microreactor has characteristics that are not found in a normal chemical reaction using a beaker, a flask, or the like. For example, since the entire reactor is small, there is an advantage that the heat exchange rate is extremely high and temperature control can be performed efficiently. Therefore, a reaction that requires precise temperature control or a reaction that requires rapid heating or cooling can be easily performed.
In order to promote the reaction in the microreactor, a microreactor is generally provided with a heating means. However, the heating means is wound around a heating wire or the like to supply heat from the outside, and the heating means is preliminarily applied to a silicon substrate or the like. There is a so-called self-heating type that is formed.
In the self-heating type microreactor, a thin film heater is formed in a predetermined shape on one surface of a silicon substrate, and a groove serving as a flow path is formed in a predetermined shape on the other surface. Thereafter, the glass substrate is bonded to the flow path surface to form a flow path. The thin film heater is energized with a predetermined power and heated by the thin film heater to supply the heat necessary for the chemical reaction. In some cases, a glass substrate is bonded to the surface of the thin film heater to form a three-layer structure. is there. As described above, the glass substrate bonded to the surface of the thin film heater has a function of preventing thermal diffusion of the thin film heater and improving thermal efficiency in addition to protecting the thin film heater. For this reason, the glass substrate on the thin film heater side is often used with counterbore processing, and a method of joining the silicon substrate by vacuuming the space formed by the counterbore processing is often used to improve the heat insulation performance. It has been. In addition, a catalyst that increases the reaction rate of a chemical reaction is often formed in a groove formed in a silicon substrate, and various catalysts can be formed. Typically, one or a plurality of inorganic carriers are used. A so-called heterogeneous catalyst, which is a combination of one or more metal species or metal oxides, is often used as a representative.
Therefore, a method is known in which a reaction combining an endothermic reaction and an exothermic reaction is performed to compensate for the amount of heat. For example, assuming a so-called steam reforming process that generates hydrogen from hydrocarbons and water and removes carbon monoxide as an impurity, a relatively large reactor is an endothermic reaction in the reforming process. A heat exchange function can be provided by devising the arrangement of the hydrogen generation reaction and the exothermic combustion reaction or monoxide removal reaction (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
For example, there is a method in which a partial oxidation reaction (exothermic reaction) (see formula (2)) is combined with a steam reforming reaction (endothermic reaction) (see formula (1)) that generates hydrogen from methanol and water.
CH 3 OH + H 2 O → 3H 2 + CO 2 (1)
CH 3 OH + 1 / 2O 2 → 2H 2 + CO 2 (2)
However, in order to exchange heat efficiently, a strict design is required for the layout of the reactor.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and when performing an exothermic reaction and an endothermic reaction by allowing reaction raw materials to pass through a flow path, heat exchange can be performed efficiently, and reaction efficiency can be achieved. An object of the present invention is to provide a reactor and a power generator excellent in the above.
In order to solve the above problems, the invention of
Different catalysts are formed alternately in the flow path, one of the adjacent catalysts has a property of preferentially selecting an exothermic reaction, and the other catalyst has a property of preferentially selecting an endothermic reaction. It is characterized by having.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, since different catalysts are alternately formed in the flow path formed inside the reactor main body, by passing the reaction raw material in the flow path, An exothermic reaction occurs, an endothermic reaction occurs with the other catalyst, and an exothermic reaction and an endothermic reaction occur alternately. Therefore, the heat of reaction generated by the exothermic reaction can be directly transmitted to the adjacent catalyst to cause an endothermic reaction, so that heat exchange can be performed efficiently.
In addition, since each catalyst is alternately formed in the flow path so that an exothermic reaction and an endothermic reaction occur alternately, the reaction amount increases on the upstream side of introducing the reaction raw material in the flow path. The amount of heat generated and the amount of heat absorbed by the endothermic reaction increase. For this reason, the heat generation and endothermic parts with large heat generation are opposed to each other on the upstream side, and the parts with small heat generation and heat absorption are opposed to each other on the downstream side of the flow path. Easy structure.
Furthermore, compared to the case where a separate heating means is provided as in the prior art, the structure is such that heat is directly supplied from the inside of the reactor, so that the starting characteristics are excellent. And since the reaction raw material itself which flows in the flow path also has the effect | action which conveys heat, there exists an effect that heat exchange is possible rapidly.
Invention of
The reactor body includes a substrate having a groove formed on one surface thereof, and a lid substrate that forms the flow path between the substrate and the substrate by covering the groove on one surface of the substrate. It is characterized by that.
According to the invention of
Further, the structure of the reactor main body is simple and the size can be reduced.
The invention according to
The reactor body includes a substrate having a plurality of grooves formed on both sides thereof, and a lid substrate that forms the flow path between the substrate and the substrate by covering the grooves on both sides of the substrate,
In the flow path, each groove formed on one surface of the substrate and each groove formed on the other surface are continuous by through holes that pass through both surfaces of the substrate and communicate with each other alternately. Configured
The different catalysts are alternately formed in the flow channel on the one surface and in the flow channel on the other surface.
According to the invention of

The invention of claim 4

The reactor main body has a substrate on which grooves extending in the same direction are formed on both surfaces, and a lid substrate that forms the flow path between the substrate and the substrate by covering the grooves on both surfaces, respectively. And
The flow path is configured such that a downstream end of a groove formed on one surface of the substrate communicates with an upstream end of a groove formed on the other surface,
The upstream end of the flow channel formed on the one surface is disposed to face the upstream end of the flow channel formed on the other surface,
Different catalysts are formed in the flow path on the one surface and in the flow path on the other surface, and one catalyst has a property of preferentially selecting an exothermic reaction, and the other catalyst has an endothermic property. It has the property of preferentially selecting the reaction.
According to invention of Claim 4, the groove | channel formed in both surfaces of the board | substrate extended in the same direction, a flow path was formed between the board | substrates with the lid | cover board | substrate, and the flow path formed in the one surface of the board | substrate The flow path formed on the other surface communicates, and after an exothermic reaction occurs in the flow channel on one surface, an endothermic reaction occurs in the flow channel on the other surface. The amount of heat generated by the exothermic reaction increases on the upstream side of the channel formed on one side, the amount of heat absorbed by the endothermic reaction increases on the upstream side of the channel formed on the other side, and the amount of generated heat on the upstream side. -Since the portions having large endothermic amounts are arranged to face each other, large reaction heat due to the exothermic reaction generated on one surface of the substrate can be directly transmitted to the other surface to cause the endothermic reaction. Conversely, on the downstream side, the parts with small amounts of heat generation and endotherm are placed facing each other, so the small reaction heat due to the exothermic reaction that occurs on one side of the substrate is directly transmitted to the other side to endothermic reaction. Can be caused. As a result, heat exchange can be performed efficiently.
In addition, on the upstream side, the portions where both the heat generation amount and the heat absorption amount are large are opposed to each other, and on the downstream side of the flow path, the portions where both the heat generation amount and the heat absorption amount are small are opposed to each other. As a result, the heat balance becomes easier to obtain.
Furthermore, compared to the case where a separate heating means is provided as in the prior art, the structure is such that heat is directly supplied from the inside of the reactor, so that the starting characteristics are excellent.

Although not shown, the
CH3OH+1/2O2→2H2+CO2 …(2)
Next, the operation of the
The thin film heaters of the
Here, in the flow path of the one
CH 3 OH + 1 / 2O 2 → 2H 2 + CO 2 (2)
CH3OH+H2O→3H2+CO2…(1)
Further, in the flow path of the
CH 3 OH + H 2 O → 3H 2 + CO 2 (1)
2CH3OH+H2O→5H2+CO+CO2 … (3)
In some cases, methanol and water are not completely reformed into carbon dioxide and hydrogen in the flow paths of both
2CH 3 OH + H 2 O → 5H 2 + CO + CO 2 (3)
In this way, the flow path on one
Further, on the upstream side of introducing the reaction raw material in the flow path, the amount of reaction increases, so the amount of heat generated by the exothermic reaction and the amount of heat absorbed by the endothermic reaction increase. (Normally, since the reaction rate is proportional to the concentration of the raw material, regardless of the exothermic reaction and endothermic reaction, the reaction rate in the vicinity of the reactor introduction hole is increased, and thus the reaction heat is also increased.) Since the portions where both the heat generation amount and the heat absorption amount are large are opposed to each other, and the portions where both the heat generation amount and the heat absorption amount are small are opposed to each other on the downstream side of the flow path, the heat balance is easily obtained. Furthermore, since the heat is supplied directly from the
H2→2H++2e- … (4)
Then, the product gas generated by the
H 2 → 2H + + 2e − (4)
2H++1/2O2+2e-→H2O … (5)
At the oxygen electrode, as shown in the electrochemical reaction formula (5), oxygen in the air, hydrogen ions that have passed through the solid polymer electrolyte membrane, and electrons taken out by the fuel electrode react to generate water. Is done.
2H + + 1 / 2O 2 + 2e − → H 2 O (5)

In the second embodiment, the

As described above, the
Further, on the upstream side of introducing the reaction raw material in the flow path, the amount of reaction increases, so the amount of heat generated by the exothermic reaction and the amount of heat absorbed by the endothermic reaction increase. For this reason, the heat generation and endothermic parts with large heat generation are opposed to each other on the upstream side, and the parts with small heat generation and heat absorption are opposed to each other on the downstream side of the flow path. Easy structure. Furthermore, since it becomes a structure which supplies heat directly from the inside of the
