Abstract
【解決手段】記録媒体から読み出して再生される複数のチャンネルのストリームが、同一の放送チャンネルに属しているかそうでないかを確認して、同一放送チャンネルに属すれば、任意の1チャンネルストリーム以外のチャンネルストリームに含まれているプログラム仕様情報パケットは除去して、異なる放送チャンネルに属すれば各チャンネルストリームに含まれているプログラム仕様情報パケットの情報に基づいて新しいプログラム仕様情報パケットを構成して既存のプログラム仕様情報パケットを置き換えて、複数のチャンネルのストリームを多重化して出力する。

Description
前述のようなプログラム類型情報に記録されるチャンネル個数情報Channel_Nsまたは関連プログラム番号情報LK_PG_Nuは、他のナビゲーション情報であるセル(Cell)情報に記録することもできる。
図5のマルチチャンネルストリーム再生装置は、高密度DVDレコーダ(HD−VDR)でよい。その構成は、高密度DVD100の記録信号を読み出す光ピックアップ16、読まれた記録信号を処理して元来のデータストリームに復元して、各チャンネルストリームごとに分離して出力するストリーム再生部36、分離出力されるチャンネルストリームを各々一時的に記憶する第1バッファ33と第2バッファ35、第1バッファ33及び第2バッファ35から各々チャンネルストリームを読んでデコーディングしてPCR情報と、PSIパケット、そしてデータ、すなわち、A/V(Audio/Video)パケットを各々分離して出力する第1PCR/PSIデコーダ32と第2PCR/PSIデコーダ34、内部クロックをカウントするクロック発生部30、第1PCR/PSIデコーダ32と第2PCR/PSIデコーダ34を経て各々出力されるチャンネルストリームを、マルチチャンネルの構成状態によってマルチチャンネルストリームを再構成するマルチチャンネルストリーム構成部31、及びストリーム再生部36により再生されたマルチチャンネルストリームの構成状態情報を把握してマルチチャンネルストリーム構成部31でのストリーム再構成を制御する制御部37を含む。

- 記録媒体の中の少なくとも2つのビデオストリームを再生する方法において、
前記記録媒体から第1、第2ビデオストリーム及びビデオストリームの表示を管理するナビゲーション情報を読み取る段階を有し、前記ナビゲーション情報は、PIP画面またはマルチ画面を表示するための前記第2ビデオストリームが存在しているか否かを示す情報を含み、
PIP画面またはマルチ画面を表示するための前記ビデオストリームを同時に再生する段階
を含むことを特徴とするビデオストリームの再生方法。 - それぞれのビデオストリームは互いに分離されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のビデオストリームの再生方法。
- それぞれのビデオストリームは多重化され、多重化された前記ビデオストリームはナビゲーション情報を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のビデオストリームの再生方法。
- 第2ビデオストリームは、前記ナビゲーション情報が第2ビデオストリームの存在を示している場合に読み出しされることを特徴とする請求項1記載のビデオストリームの再生方法。
- それぞれのビデオストリームは1つの記録集合体として記録されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のビデオストリームの再生方法。
- それぞれのビデオストリームは別の記録集合体に区分して記録されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のビデオストリームの再生方法。

第1、第2ビデオストリーム及びビデオストリームの表示を管理するナビゲーション情報が記録され、前記ナビゲーション情報は、PIP画面またはマルチ画面を表示するための前記第2ビデオストリームが存在しているか否かを示す情報を含むことを特徴とする記録媒体。 - それぞれのビデオストリームは互いに分離されていることを特徴とする請求項13記載の記録媒体。
