Abstract
【解決手段】(a)顔料粒子;(b)ホスフェートもしくはホスホネート基を含有するアクリルポリマーの粒子;および(c)ピロホスフェート結合を含み、かつ12%未満の炭素を有する、少なくとも1種類の化合物、を含む水性組成物。

Description
単峰性ポリマー分散液を以下のように調製した。5リットル四首丸底フラスコにパドル攪拌機、温度計、窒素導入口および凝縮器を備え付けた。最初のケトル投入において、界面活性剤、重炭酸アンモニウム、および脱イオン水の混合物をケトルに添加し、窒素雰囲気下で82℃に加熱した。モノマーエマルジョン(ME)を、脱イオン水、ナトリウムラウリルエーテルスルフェート、ブチルアクリレート、メチルメタクリレート、1−ドデカンチオール、およびホスホエチルメタクリレート(61重量%活性強酸モノマー)を混合することによって調製した。82℃のケトル水と共に、以下の物質を順に添加した:MEおよびすすぎ水、0.1%硫酸鉄溶液および1%エチレンジアミン四酢酸、四ナトリウム塩溶液の混合物、脱イオン水中のtert−ブチルヒドロペルオキシドの溶液、並びに水中のイソアスコルビン酸の溶液。反応温度は80℃で保持した。5分間攪拌した後、残りのMEを80℃で120分にわたって添加した。2種類の同時供給溶液(脱イオン水中の70%tert−ブチルヒドロペルオキシドおよび脱イオン水中のイソアスコルビン酸)を徐々に添加した。MEの半分をケトルに添加したとき、水酸化アンモニウム(28%)をイソアスコルビン酸同時供給溶液に添加した。モノマー添加の完了後、ME容器を脱イオン水ですすいだ。次に、その分散液を60℃に冷却した。その反応混合物を冷却し続けながら、2種類のチェイス溶液(chase solutions)(脱イオン水中の70%tert−ブチルヒドロペルオキシドおよび脱イオン水中のイソアスコルビン酸)を20分にわたって添加した。28%水酸化アンモニウム溶液をケトルに添加した後、分散液を濾過して凝塊を除去した。ケトルに投入したすべての物質の量は下記表1に見出すことができる。

二峰性ポリマー分散液を以下のように調製した。5リットル四首丸底フラスコにパドル攪拌機、温度計、窒素導入口および凝縮器を備え付けた。29.0グラムの界面活性剤、3.4グラムの重炭酸アンモニウム、88.9グラムのアクリルポリマーエマルジョン(100nm、固形分45%)、および950グラムの脱イオン水の混合物をケトルに添加し、窒素雰囲気下で80℃に加熱した。モノマーエマルジョン(ME)を、550グラムの脱イオン水、64.5グラムの界面活性剤、1040グラムのブチルアクリレート、910グラムのメチルメタクリレート、2.5グラムの1−ドデカンチオール、40グラムのホスホエチルメタクリレート(61重量%活性強酸モノマー)、および10グラムのメタクリル酸を混合することによって調製した。80℃のケトル水と共に、25グラムの0.1%硫酸鉄溶液および1.7グラムの1%エチレンジアミン四酢酸、四ナトリウム塩溶液の混合液を添加した。MEを80℃で2時間にわたってケトルに添加した。2種類の同時供給溶液(脱イオン水104グラム中4グラムの70%tert−ブチルヒドロペルオキシドおよび脱イオン水96グラム中2.8グラムのイソアスコルビン酸)をモノマーエマルジョン添加と共に徐々に添加した。MEの半分をケトルに添加したとき、水酸化アンモニウム(28%、10グラム)をイソアスコルビン酸同時供給溶液に添加した。モノマー添加の完了後、ME容器を30.0グラムの脱イオン水ですすいだ。次に、分散液を60℃に冷却した。その反応混合物を冷却し続けながら、次いで、2種類のチェイス溶液(脱イオン水15グラム中1グラムの70%tert−ブチルヒドロペルオキシドおよび脱イオン水15グラム中0.72グラムのイソアスコルビン酸)を20分にわたって添加した。20グラムの28%水酸化アンモニウムの溶液の添加後、分散液を濾過して凝塊を除去した。濾過した分散液は8.6のpH、および51.6%の固形分含有率を有していた。この分散液のCHDFでの検査では、それが2つの別のモード(96nmで51重量%、および242nmで49重量%)を有することが示された。
水中5%の四ナトリウムピロホスフェート10水和物溶液を、5グラムのこの物質を95グラムの水に溶解することによって調製した。
ベンチトップ攪拌機で、430グラムの実施例2を43.86グラムの実施例4と混合した。これはポリマー固形分に対して1.0%の四ナトリウムピロホスフェート10水和物に等しい(s/s)。
ベンチトップ攪拌機で、430グラムの実施例3を43.86グラムの実施例4と混合した、これはポリマー固形分に対して1.0%の四ナトリウムピロホスフェート10水和物に等しい(s/s)。
ベンチトップ攪拌機で、307グラムのTi−Pure(商標)R−746 TiO2スラリーを43.86グラムの実施例4と混合した。
430グラムの実施例5を307グラムのTi−Pure(商標)R−746 TiO2スラリーに添加した。数秒間攪拌した後、それらを舌圧子でゆっくりと混合した。この混合物は非常に良好であり、凝集または砂状物形成の徴候はなかった。
430グラムの実施例2を実施例7に添加し、数秒間攪拌した後、舌圧子でゆっくりと混合した。この混合物は非常に良好であり、凝集または砂状物形成の徴候はなかった。
430グラムの実施例6を307グラムのTi−Pure(商標)R−746 TiO2スラリーに添加した。数秒間攪拌した後、それらを舌圧子でゆっくりと混合した。この混合物は非常に良好であり、凝集または砂状物形成の徴候はなかった。
430グラムの実施例3を実施例7に添加し、数秒間攪拌した後、舌圧子でゆっくりと混合した。この混合物は非常に良好であり、凝集または砂状物形成の徴候はなかった。
430グラムの実施例2を307グラムのTi−Pure(商標)R−746 TiO2スラリーに添加した。数秒間攪拌した後、それらを舌圧子でゆっくりと混合したところ、ほぼ直後に凝集および砂状物が生じた。
430グラムの実施例3を307グラムのTi−Pure(商標)R−746 TiO2スラリーに添加した。数秒間攪拌した後、それらを舌圧子でゆっくりと混合したところ、ほぼ直後に凝集および砂状物が生じた。
実施例2、5、3および6について、それぞれ以下の配合(表2)に従って調製され、オーバーナイトでデルタKUについて試験した(表3)。
実施例2および3について、Ti−Pure R−746 TiO2スラリーの代わりに実施例7を用いて配合(表2)に従って調製された。
Claims (10)
- (a)顔料粒子;
(b)ホスフェートまたはホスホネート基を含有するアクリルポリマーの粒子;および
(c)ピロホスフェート結合を含み、かつ12%以下の炭素を有する、少なくとも1種類の化合物:
を含む水性組成物。 - 直交性である顔料粒子を含む請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 顔料粒子が二酸化チタン、酸化亜鉛、酸化鉄、ケイ酸マグネシウム、炭酸カルシウムおよびそれらの組み合わせからなる群のうちから選択される請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 組成物が二酸化チタンを含む請求項1に記載の組成物。
- ホスフェートまたはホスホネート基を含むアクリルポリマーが−20℃ないし60℃のTgを有する請求項1に記載の組成物。
- ホスフェートまたはホスホネート基を含むアクリルポリマーがホスホアルキル(メタ)アクリレートの残基を含む請求項6に記載の組成物。
- 前記少なくとも1種類の化合物がアルカリ金属またはアンモニウムピロホスフェート、トリポリホスフェート、メタホスフェートもしくはヘキサメタホスフェートである請求項7に記載の組成物。
- 顔料粒子が二酸化チタンを含む請求項8に記載の組成物。
- 二酸化チタン粒子が直交性である請求項9に記載の組成物。
