Abstract
【解決手段】光多層記録キャリヤ(1)と、層(3,4,5)を放射ビーム(12)によって形成される走査スポット(15)によって走査する装置(10)とを具える情報記憶システムを記述する。前記放射ビームを、前記層のスタック(2)内の走査スポットの1つの高さに対する球面収差に対して補正する。前記スタックの高さを、本システムに対する許容しうる最大の球面収差によって規定する。前記スタック内の層の数を、層間の最小間隔によって規定し、この間隔は、現在走査されていない層によるサーボエラー信号におけるクロストークに依存する。

Description
1.スペーサ層と交互の情報層のスタックを有する光記録キャリヤと、
前記情報層を走査する装置とを具え、この装置に、放射源と、前記放射源からの放射ビームを前記分離した情報層上に選択的に焦点合わせする手段と、フォーカスサーボシステムとを設けた情報記憶システムにおいて、
各々のスペーサ層の厚さを、前記スペーサ層の屈折率に前記フォーカスサーボシステムのS曲線のピークからピークの間隔を乗算した値の少なくとも1.5倍としたことを特徴とする情報記憶装置。
2.実施態様項1に記載の情報記憶装置において、前記スペーサ層の厚さを、前記スペーサ層の屈折率に前記フォーカスサーボシステムのS曲線のピークからピークの間隔を乗算した値の4倍より小さくしたことを特徴とする情報記憶装置。
3.実施態様項1または2に記載の情報記憶装置において、前記焦点合わせ手段が、一定でスタックが関係する球面収差を前記放射ビーム中に導入し、この収差が、放射ビームが前記情報層のスタックの高さの半分程度において焦点合わせされる場合に前記放射ビームによって受ける球面収差を補正するようにしたことを特徴とする情報記憶装置。
4.実施態様項1、2または3に記載の情報記憶装置において、前記スタックの厚さを、前記スタックの材料の屈折率と前記焦点合わせ手段の開口数との関数である値2dより小さくしたことを特徴とする情報記憶装置。
5.実施態様項4に記載の情報記憶装置において、前記値2dを、球面収差による走査スポットのシュトレール強度の許容しうる最大の減少値の関数にもしたことを特徴とする情報記憶装置。
6.実施態様項5に記載の情報記憶装置において、前記値2dを、式、
7.実施態様項6に記載の情報記憶装置において、前記記録キャリヤが、一方の側において前記放射ビームが入射する入射面を有するとともに他方の側において前記スタックを有する透明基板を具え、前記スタックの厚さを2dから前記基板の厚さ公差を減算した値より小さくしたことを特徴とする情報記憶装置。
8.放射源と、前記放射源からの放射ビームを別々の情報層に選択的に焦点合わせする焦点合わせ手段と、放射感応面を有する検出システムを具えるサーボシステムとを設けた、光記録キャリヤの情報層を走査する装置において、前記放射感応面が、前記放射ビームが走査すべき前記情報層上に最適に焦点合わせされている場合に前記放射感応面上に形成される放射スポットの直径の3倍より小さい最大寸法を有することを特徴とする装置。
9.実施態様項8に記載の装置において、前記放射源と前記焦点合わせ手段との間の光経路中に位置し、前記放射ビームから2つのサーボビームと1つのメインビームとを発生する分割手段を設け、前記メインビームにおけるパワーを、各々の前記サーボビームにおけるパワーの6倍より小さくしたことを特徴とする装置。
10.異なった高さにおいて複数の情報層を有し、これらの情報層をスペーサ層によって分離し、前記記録キャリヤが、一定の球面収差補正を有する焦点合わせされた放射ビームによって読み取るのに適している光記録キャリヤにおいて、最も高い情報層と最も低い情報層との間隔が、
11.実施態様項10に記載の光記録キャリヤにおいて、前記rを0.01としたことを特徴とする光記録キャリヤ。
12.実施態様項10または11に記載の光記録キャリヤにおいて、一方の側において前記放射ビームに対する入射面を有するとともに他方の側において前記スタックを有する透明基板を具え、最も高い情報層と最も低い情報層との間隔を、前記2dから前記基板の厚さ公差を減算した値より小さくしたことを特徴とする光記録キャリヤ。
Claims (2)
- 放射源と、前記放射源からの放射ビームを別々の情報層に選択的に焦点合わせする焦点合わせ手段と、放射感応面を有する検出システムを具えるサーボシステムとを設けた、光記録キャリヤの情報層を走査する装置において、前記放射感応面が、前記放射ビームが走査すべき前記情報層上に最適に焦点合わせされている場合に前記放射感応面上に形成される放射スポットの直径の3倍より小さい最大寸法を有することを特徴とする装置。
- 前記放射源と前記焦点合わせ手段との間の光経路中に位置し、前記放射ビームから2つのサーボビームと1つのメインビームとを発生する分割手段を設け、前記メインビームにおけるパワーを、各々の前記サーボビームにおけるパワーの6倍より小さくしたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
