Type 2 diabetes is a typical lifestyle-related disease caused by overeating, lack of exercise, obesity, constitution, etc. In Japan, 95% of diabetics are said to be type 2. It is determined that the fasting blood glucose level (mg / dL) is 109 or less is normal and 126 or more is diabetic. On the other hand, the boundary type patient is a person whose blood glucose level does not enter either a normal person or a diabetic patient, and is a so-called diabetic reserve army. Among the subjects in Table 1, B and F are borderline patients. All others were type 2 diabetic patients who had received some treatment such as administration of a hypoglycemic agent, and treatment was continued during the above study.
[Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c)]
Hemoglobin binds in the blood (glycation), and the more glucose in the blood, the more hemoglobin is glycated. Once saccharified, it remains saccharified until the end of the life of the red blood cells (about 120 days). By examining this glycated hemoglobin (in%), it is possible to know the long-term state of blood glucose control. Glycated hemoglobin indicates a weighted average value of increase or decrease in blood glucose level over the past 3 to 4 months. About half of them represent those formed within the past month, and the other half show glycated hemoglobin of the past 2-3 months.
Glycated hemoglobin is considered to have a normal value of 4.3 to 5.8 (%), is used to determine whether blood glucose control is successful, and is usually measured every month.

According to Table 1, it was found that the blood sugar level and HbA1c significantly decreased as a whole by ingestion of the composition of the present invention, and the composition of the present invention has excellent antidiabetic activity.
In all of the subjects 1 to 2 weeks after the start of drinking the composition, the stool tended to be slightly loosened, but recovered after 2 weeks. In addition, in type 2 diabetic patients, there was an example in which hands and feet were lightened in 1 week after drinking, and hands and feet were not swollen.

(About acute toxicity of the composition)
The Actinisia Colomicta Maxim used above is one that has been boiled with water for hundreds of years by residents living in the mountainous areas of Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos, and drinks like tea. It seems that there is no problem.
Among the above subjects, three subjects A, B, and C have a composition intake of 15 g / day of dry raw material in order to investigate the effect of the intake of the composition of the present invention on liver function. Table 2 shows the results of measuring the ALP, γ-GTP, and GOT, which are representative indicators of liver function, and blood was collected one month after the start of drinking. The reference range of each index is 100 to 340 IU / L for ALP, 4 to 70 IU / L for γ-GTP, and 11 to 35 IU / L for GOT, and all three persons are within the reference range. There seems to be no adverse effect on

(Example 6)
Using 3 type 2 diabetic patients (K, M, N in Table 3) and 1 borderline patient (L in Table 3) as subjects, 30 g of the fraction obtained in Example 2 was diluted with warm water. I was allowed to drink it as tea for 2 months. Table 1 shows the results of measuring blood sugar levels, HbA1c values, and uric acid levels in the blood by sampling on an empty stomach after 1 month and 2 months.

According to Table 3, the significant fall about all the blood glucose levels, HbA1c values, and uric acid levels was recognized about all the subjects.
As for the uric acid level, all members fall within the reference range (2.1 to 7.0 mg / L) after 2 months, and the composition of the present invention has an anti-diabetic activity and an excellent anti-gout activity. found.
