Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a laminating apparatus for forming a laminating layer on a recording surface of a recording medium on which an image is recorded.
As a result of various improvements made to the recording apparatus (printer) and the recording medium, the recording system such as the ink jet recording system and the thermal transfer recording system can obtain an image quality comparable to a silver salt color photograph. In recent years, image information captured by a digital camera, digital video, scanner, or the like or electronic image information in a computer has been widely used as a technique for hard copying.
In addition, in these recording methods, the recording surface of the recording medium is protected to give permanent durability, and the glossiness and smoothness of the recording surface are increased to further improve the image quality. For this purpose, a technique of laminating a laminate layer on a recording surface of a recording medium after image recording is also widely known.
As an apparatus used for laminating on a recording surface, a recording medium and a laminating material which are laminated by supplying a laminating material comprising a base material and a laminating layer formed so as to be peelable on the base material onto the recording surface. There is a laminating apparatus that transfers the laminate layer onto the recording surface of the recording medium by thermocompression bonding, and then peels the substrate from the laminate layer (Patent Document 1).
However, in the laminating apparatus disclosed in
For this reason, there is a laminating apparatus that can save the labor of cutting a non-laminate portion (Patent Document 2). In the laminating apparatus disclosed in
The laminating apparatus disclosed in
However, since no special measures are taken against the phenomenon of the recording medium being lifted at the time of peeling, the laminate portion and the non-laminate portion are separated when the peeling angle of the substrate with respect to the recording medium is not appropriate. Without being pulled by the non-laminate portion, the entire laminate portion is peeled off from the recording medium, or the surface layer including the recording surface is pulled off from the recording medium by being pulled by the non-laminate portion. is there.
The present invention solves the above-described conventional problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a laminating apparatus capable of smoothly peeling a base material from a laminating material that is in close contact with a recording medium after thermocompression bonding.
A laminating apparatus according to the present invention is a laminating apparatus for forming a laminating layer on a recording surface of a recording medium, and stacks a laminating material on which the base material is peeled from the laminating layer so as to cover the recording medium. A pressure bonding means for thermocompression bonding, a peeling means for peeling the base material from the laminate material to the laminated material and the recording medium after the heat pressure bonding to be conveyed, and a conveying direction from a peeling point of the peeling means And a bending means for bending the laminated material after the thermocompression bonding and the recording medium toward the base material side with respect to the transport direction on the upstream side.
According to the above configuration, since the laminate material and the recording medium after thermocompression bonding are bent toward the base material side with respect to the transport direction before the base material is peeled off by the peeling means, In the case where the laminate material is in close contact with the recording medium, a repulsive force (stress) against the bending is generated, and a force for pressing the laminated body on the side opposite to the peeling direction acts. Therefore, the laminate can be reliably prevented from being lifted at the time of peeling, so that the substrate can be peeled off from the laminate material, and the finish is improved.
This lifting prevention effect is particularly exerted on the leading end side of the recording medium. In other words, at the leading end side of the recording medium, the laminate tends to be prominently lifted, and the laminate layer is turned from the edge of the recording medium or peeled off due to the impact force when it is restored by the elastic restoring force. In other words, the edge of the recording medium may end up with an unpleasant finish. However, in the present invention, the substrate peelability is improved particularly on the leading end side of the recording medium, and such a problem does not occur. .
In addition, when adopting a configuration in which the bending means is provided so as to be movable so that the amount of bending can be adjusted, for example, when the width of the recording medium is different, the processing status changes. Thus, it is possible to adjust appropriately so that the film can be peeled more smoothly.
As described above, according to the laminating apparatus of the present invention, since the base material can be smoothly peeled off from the laminating material that is in close contact with the recording medium, a clean finished surface can be obtained.
Hereinafter, as an embodiment of a laminating apparatus according to the present invention, an apparatus that is integrated with a printer apparatus and that can continuously perform image recording (printing) on a recording medium that is a premise of a laminating process will be described. .

FIG. 3 shows an enlarged cross-sectional side view of the
The functional unit of the
The laminate
The
Both
The
The base
The
The under
The schematic configuration of each functional unit is as described above. The laminating material B is drawn out from the laminating
Then, not only the driving
In this state, when the recording medium A is sequentially supplied from the receiving
And the laminated body obtained by the crimping | compression-
As a result, the
As described above, a series of laminating processes and its effects by the laminating apparatus according to the present embodiment have been described. However, the laminating apparatus according to the present embodiment is characterized by the mechanism surface of the peeling
The laminate (A + B + E) generated by the
In this case, as shown in FIG. 4, the laminate is partially bent toward the base material C (that is, the recording surface side of the recording medium A) on the upstream side of the
This prevents the laminate from being lifted along with the peeling of the base material C and stabilizes the peeling angle of the base material C, so that only the base material C can be peeled cleanly. In particular, the peelability of the substrate on the leading end side of the recording medium A is extremely good.
In order to be able to adjust the amount of bending (in other words, the magnitude of stress) appropriately when the width size of the recording medium A is changed, for example, the
As described above, according to the laminating apparatus according to the present embodiment, the releasability of the base material C can be improved, so that only the base material C can be smoothly peeled, and as a result, a clean finished surface can be obtained. it can.
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications can be made without departing from the gist of the present invention.
For example, in the above embodiment, the substrate C is peeled off by the peeling
Further, as shown in FIG. 5, the bending means is composed of two
The present invention is naturally applicable to a laminating apparatus that does not use an under film.
