Abstract
【解決手段】電力線搬送通信(PLC)インターフェース及び1以上のIEEE802.3イーサネット(登録商標)インターフェースを備えるアクセスポイント(AP)を、PLCインターフェースを通じた電力線媒体の論理的中心に接続する。複数のユーザターミナル(UT)は、適切な宛先にパケットデータを順次に送り出す関連するAPと送受信する。大規模ネットワークは、複数のAPを含むことができ、この場合には、各UTは、UTとAPとの間の接続品質を表す測定基準に基づいて、APを選択する。

Claims (14)
- 複数の電気アウトレットのそれぞれと協働する複数の論理的配電線中心を含んで構成される低電圧AC電力配電線構造と;
前記複数の論理的配電線中心のそれぞれに、各々設置された複数の通信アクセスポイントと;
複数のユーザターミナル間に通信を提供する通信信号線によって、前記複数の電気アウトレットの1つと各々接続された前記複数のユーザターミナルと;
を含んで構成され、
前記複数の通信アクセスポイントの各々が、イーサネット(登録商標)標準接続を通じて、他の前記複数の通信アクセスポイントと協働することを特徴とするローカルエリアネットワーク通信システム。 - 前記複数の通信アクセスポイントの1つが、前記複数のユーザターミナルパスからの全信号を通過するプライマリアクセスポイントであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数のユーザターミナルは、マイクロプロセッサと、少なくとも1つがイーサネット(登録商標)インターフェースであり、他はPLCインターフェースである少なくとも2つのインターフェースと、を含んで構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数のアクセスポイントの各々は、イーサネット(登録商標)ハブ構造を通じて、他の前記アクセスポイントと協働することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数のアクセスポイントの各々は、イーサネット(登録商標)スイッチング装置を通じて、他の前記アクセスポイントと協働することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 低電圧AC電力配電線構造の複数の論理的配電線中心に対応する複数の通信アクセスポイントを提供するステップと;
複数のユーザターミナル間に通信を提供する前記低電圧AC電力配電線構造の複数の電気アウトレットのそれぞれに、各々接続された前記複数のユーザターミナルを提供するステップと;
前記複数の通信アクセスポイントの各々と、他の前記複数の通信アクセスポイントと、を協働させるイーサネット(登録商標)標準接続を提供するステップと;
を含んで構成されることを特徴とするローカルエリアネットワーク通信方法。 - 前記複数の通信アクセスポイントの1つを、前記複数のユーザターミナルパスからの全信号を通過するプライマリアクセスポイントとして提供するステップをさらに含んで構成されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- マイクロプロセッサと、 少なくとも1つがイーサネット(登録商標)インターフェースであり、他はPLCインターフェースである少なくとも2つのインターフェースと、を有する前記ユーザターミナルをそれぞれ提供するステップを含んで構成されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記イーサネット(登録商標)標準接続として、イーサネット(登録商標)ハブ構造を提供するステップを含んで構成される請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記イーサネット(登録商標)標準接続として、イーサネット(登録商標)スイッチング装置を提供するステップを含んで構成される請求項6に記載の方法。
- 複数の電気アウトレットと各々協働する複数の論理的配電線中心を含んで構成される低電圧AC電力配電線構造を利用したローカルエリアネットワーク通信システムであって、
イーサネット(登録商標)標準接続で相互に接続された前記複数の論理的配電線中心のそれぞれに、各々設置された複数の通信アクセスポイントと;
少なくとも1つの前記通信アクセスポイントを通じた通信信号によって、少なくとも1つの前記ユーザターミナルを指定した通信を提供するために、前記複数の電気アウトレットとの接続を通じて前記通信信号を出力する前記複数のユーザターミナルと;
を含んで構成されることを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記複数の通信アクセスポイントの1つが、前記複数のユーザターミナルパスからの全信号を通過するプライマリアクセスポイントであることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数のユーザターミナルの各々及び前記複数の通信アクセスポイントの各々は、マイクロプロセッサと、少なくとも1つがイーサネット(登録商標)インターフェースであり、他はPLCインターフェースである少なくとも2つのインターフェースと、を含んで構成されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 低電圧AC電力配電線構造の複数のエンドポイント間の通信方法であって、
少なくとも1つの宛先エンドポイントに送信される前記エンドポイントの発信の1つに電気通信信号を挿入するステップと;
前記低電圧AC電力配電線構造における前記エンドポイントの第1グループに対する配電線中心と協働する少なくとも1つの中間ポイントに前記信号を渡すステップと;
前記第1中間ポイントと、前記低電圧AC電力配電線構造におけるエンドポイントの少なくとも第2グループに対する少なくとも第2配電線中心と協働する少なくとも第2中間ポイントと、の間にイーサネット(登録商標)標準通信を提供するステップと;
を含んで構成され、
前記電気通信信号が、前記第1グループのエンドポイントだけを予定している場合、前記通信は、前記低電圧AC電力配電線構造の電力線上のキャリア信号として完全に通過することを特徴とする方法。
