Description
両方の結果は、同一のIF周波数において、同一の必要とされるIF項を含み、これは、両方の場合において出力でのこれら信号は、信号のレベルの差、すなわち振幅を除いて、完全に同一であることを意味する。
より少ない自己ミキシング
ホモダインすなわち直接変換受信機における主要な欠点の1つは、いわゆる自己ミキシング(self-mixing)である。容量性すなわち基板結合のために、VCO/LOポートからLANの入力又はミキサの入力へのある有限量のフィードスルー(feed-through)が存在する。この結果として、LANとミキサのこれら入力の所に現れる漏れ信号がLO信号と混合され、このため、ミキサの出力の所にDC成分が生成される。受信機内と同様に、アンテナから、ミキサの下流に配置されたアナログデジタル変換器(ADC)までの利得は、典型的には約80から100dBである。ミキサの出力の所の非常に小さなDCオフセットが、受信機チェーン内のいくつかの回路を飽和させることがある。この漏れは、周波数に依存する。ここで提唱されるように、より低いLO周波数を用いた場合は、この自己ミキシングの影響は、大きく低減される。
標準のミキサのテールキャパシタンス(tail capacitance)に起因する雑音は、ωLOに比例することが知られている。このためωLOnewを用いた場合、電力消費の増加も、ミキサ回路の変更もなしに、より良い雑音性能を得ることができる。
相互変調ひずみは、LO周波数が低下されると、減少する。
より低いLO周波数fLOは、周波数デバイダによってより小さな分割比が要求されることを意味する。
Claims (8)
- 第一の入力と、第二の入力と、1つの出力とを有し、高い周波数成分fRFを含む入力信号が前記第一の入力に加えられ、ローカル発振器信号が前記第二の入力に加えられるミキサと、
前記ローカル発振器信号を提供するためのソースと、を含み、
前記ローカル発振器信号は、fLOnew≦AfRFなる条件を満たす周波数fLOnewを有する周波数成分を有し、ここで、A≧3であり、前記ミキサは前記入力信号のより低い周波数帯域へのダウン変換を提供する受信機。 - ホモダイン受信機の一部分であり、前記より低い周波数帯域の中心周波数は、前記周波数fLOnewによって定義される請求項1記載の受信機。
- ヘテロダイン受信機の一部分であり、前記より低い周波数帯域の中心周波数は、中間周波数fIFによって定義される請求項1記載の受信機。
- 前記ミキサは、前記出力で基本周波数を有する出力信号を、高調波及び混合項と共に生成する請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の受信機。
- 前記出力信号の前記高調波及び/又は混合項を抑圧するための帯域通過又は低域通過フィルタを含む請求項4記載の受信機。
- 前記ソースは、発振器、好ましくは水晶発振器と、位相検出器と、デバイダと、電圧制御発振器と、バッファとを含む請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の受信機。
- 請求項1乃至6記載の受信機と、送信機と、を含むデータ通信のためのトランシーバ。
- 請求項1乃至6記載の受信機を含むデータ通信のための集積回路。
