Abstract
Description
Claims (17)
- パルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法において:
前記パルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステムが複数のピクセルを有し;
当該ピクセルのそれぞれの照度がパルス幅セグメントのシーケンス内のパルスの作動状態に反応して制御され;かつ
第1セグメント内の個々の各パルスの状態が、前記パルスに付随するインターバル中、対応する前記ピクセルを照射したままになるか否かを決定し;
当該操作方法は、
第1ピクセル輝度境界と第2ピクセル輝度境界との間にある範囲内のピクセル輝度を変更すべく、第1パルス幅セグメントの少なくともひとつのパルスの作動状態を変更する第1作動状態変更ステップと;
少なくともひとつの追加のパルス幅セグメント内にある少なくともひとつのパルスの作動状態を変更する第2作動状態変更ステップであり、
前記第2輝度境界より高い前記ピクセル輝度を変更すべく、前記少なくともひとつの追加のパルス幅セグメント内にある前記少なくともひとつのパルスが変更され、あるセグメント内で作動状態となるパルスの全体幅と、前記あるセグメントと同一のセグメント内で非作動状態となるパルスの全体幅とをほぼ等しくし輝度の漸進的変化を実現する第2作動状態変更ステップと;
を有することを特徴とするパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。 - 前記第1セグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的増大を実現することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。
- 前記第1セグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが非作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的低減を実現することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。
- 前記少なくともひとつの追加のセグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的増大を実現することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。
- 前記少なくともひとつの追加のセグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが非作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的低減を実現することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。
- 前記パルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステムは、三原色のそれぞれを順次投射することで色の付いた画像を表示し、
それぞれの色がパルス幅セグメントの分離されたシーケンスを有し、
当該パルス幅セグメントの分離されたシーケンスが、他の原色のパルス幅セグメントの分離されたシーケンスで交互配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。 - カラー画像を表示するパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法において:
前記パルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステムは複数のピクセルを有し;
当該ピクセルの原色セットの所与のひとつの各照度が、その色に対応するパルス幅セグメントのシーケンス内のパルスに応答して制御され;
所与の色に関連する各セグメントが、他の色に関連するセグメントで交互配置され;
その色に対応するセグメント内の各パルスの状態が、当該パルスに付随するインターバル中、対応するピクセルをその色で照射したままになるか否かを決定し;
当該操作方法は、
第1ピクセル輝度境界と第2ピクセル輝度境界との間にある範囲内のピクセル輝度を増加させるべく、所与の色に対応する第1パルス幅セグメントの少なくともひとつのパルスの作動状態を変更する第3作動状態変更ステップと;
所与の色に対応する少なくともひとつの追加のパルス幅セグメント内にある少なくともひとつのパルスの作動状態を変更する第2作動状態変更ステップであり、
前記第2輝度境界より高い前記ピクセル輝度を変更すべく、前記少なくともひとつの追加のパルス幅セグメント内にある前記少なくともひとつのパルスが変更され、あるセグメント内で作動状態となるパルスの全体幅と、前記あるセグメントと同一のセグメント内で非作動状態となるパルスの全体幅とをほぼ等しくし輝度の漸進的変化を実現する第4作動状態変更ステップと;
を有することを特徴とするパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。 - 前記第1セグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的増大を実現することを特徴とする請求項7に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。
- 前記第1セグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが非作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的低減を実現することを特徴とする請求項7に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。
- 前記少なくともひとつの追加のセグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的増大を実現することを特徴とする請求項7に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。
- 前記少なくともひとつの追加のセグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが非作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的低減を実現することを特徴とする請求項7に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。
- パルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法において:
前記パルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステムが複数のピクセルを有し;
当該ピクセルのそれぞれの照度がパルス幅セグメントのシーケンス内のパルスの作動状態に反応して制御され;
第1セグメント内の個々の各パルスの状態が、前記パルスに付随するインターバル中、対応する前記ピクセルを照射したままになるか否かを決定し;
当該操作方法は、
少なくともひとつのパルス幅セグメント内にある少なくともひとつのパルスの作動状態を変更する第5作動状態変更ステップであり、
前記ピクセル輝度を変更すべく、前記少なくともひとつのパルス幅セグメント内にある前記少なくともひとつのパルスが変更され、あるセグメント内で作動状態となるパルスの全体幅と、前記あるセグメントと同一のセグメント内で非作動状態となるパルスの全体幅とをほぼ等しくし輝度の漸進的変化を実現する第5作動状態変更ステップ、
を有することを特徴とするパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム操作方法。 - パルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステムであって、
光源と、
入射光をスクリーン上にフォーカスする投射レンズと、
デジタルマイクロミラーデバイスと、
回転するカラーホイールと、
プロセッサと、
駆動回路と、を有し、
前記デジタルマイクロミラーデバイスは、配列内に配される独立の複数の微小ミラーを有し、各微小ミラーは当該微小ミラーに付随する駆動セルに適用する駆動信号の受信に応答して、前記光源からの光を前記投射レンズ中及び前記スクリーン上へ反射し、そこにある画素(ピクセル)を照射すべく、弧の周りを旋回でき、
前記回転するカラーホイールは前記光源と前記微小ミラーとの間に置かれ、続け様に三原色のそれぞれを分け伝え、前記デジタルマイクロミラーデバイスに当たり、そこから反射して前記投射レンズに向かうようにし、
前記プロセッサは、第1輝度境界と第2輝度境界との間にある範囲内でピクセル輝度を変更すべく、所与の色に対応する第1パルス幅セグメントの少なくともひとつのパルスの作動状態を変更することでパルス幅変調セグメントのシーケンスを形成し、
前記プロセッサはまた、少なくともひとつの追加のパルス幅セグメントの少なくともひとつのパルスの作動状態を変更することで、前記第2輝度境界より高い前記ピクセル輝度を変更すべく、前記少なくともひとつの追加のパルス幅セグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスを変更し、あるセグメント内で作動状態となるパルスの全体幅と、前記あるセグメントと同一のセグメント内で非作動状態となるパルスの全体幅とをほぼ等しくし輝度の漸進的変化を実現するようパルス幅変調セグメントのシーケンスを形成し、
前記ドライバ回路は、前記プロセッサにより形成される前記パルス幅セグメントのシーケンスに反応して、前記デジタルマイクロミラーデバイスが対応するピクセルを照射するよう前記デジタルマイクロミラーデバイスを駆動する、
ことを特徴とするパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム。 - 前記第1パルス幅セグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的増大を実現することを特徴とする請求項13に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム。
- 前記第1パルス幅セグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが非作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的低減を実現することを特徴とする請求項13に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム。
- 前記少なくともひとつの追加のセグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的増大を実現することを特徴とする請求項13に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム。
- 前記少なくともひとつの追加のセグメントの前記少なくともひとつのパルスが非作動状態になり、ピクセル輝度の漸進的低減を実現することを特徴とする請求項13に記載のパルス幅変調方式ディスプレイシステム。
