Abstract
Description
1)2つの独立したテンショナ:各々ベルト回転方向に対して、ダンピング機構を備える一方のテンショナは、オルタネータなど大きな慣性を有する補機の前の弛緩側ベルトスパンに取り付けられ、ダンピング機構を備える他方のテンショナは、緊張側ベルトスパンに取り付けられる。各テンショナは、所定のバネ定数(spring rate)と所定のダンピング率を有している。または、
2)2−プーリテンショナ:レールに移動可能に取り付けられた2つのプーリ(図14及び15参照)、又は共通のピボットの周りに回動自在に取り付けられた2つのプーリ(図12及び13参照)。各プーリは、バイアス部材により連結され、各々所定のダンピング率を有する。バイアス部材には捩りスプリングが含まれても良い。ベルトの回転方向から見るとき、一方のプーリは、補機オルタネータの前であるベルト弛緩側スパンに配置され、他方のプーリは、補機オルタネータの後であるベルト緊張側スパンに配置される。
1)調整(tuning)効果:本発明は、システムの振動周波数を大幅に調整するため、所定のエンジンRPM範囲において顕著な運転時の共振は現れない。
2)より大きなダンピング:それぞれ所定のダンピング率を有する2つのテンショナは、単独のテンショナよりも、ベルト伝動からより多くの振動エネルギーを散逸する。
3)優れた張力制御:極めて高速なエンジンの加速及び減速において、例えば、3,000〜9,000RPM/secの範囲において、従来技術の単独テンショナシステムに比べて優れたテンション制御が実現される。

ここで、Mu:ダンピング機構の摩擦係数
K :ダンピング効果を調整するために設定されたダンピング機構因子(factor of damping mechanism)
摩擦ダンピングは、スプリングの荷重により生成され、スプリングの荷重はベルト張力も制御する。スプリング荷重が増大すると、摩擦ダンピングも増大する。ダンピング率は、摩擦ダンピングの大きさと比率を定義するために用いられる。それは通常定数である。あるテンショナは、従来知られているように、ダンピングシューが摩擦面と係合するようにダンピングシューに荷重を掛けてダンピング摩擦を生成するために独立したスプリングを用いる。この場合、摩擦効果は一定であるが張力スプリング力(トルク)が一定でないことから、ダンピング率は定数ではない。したがって、テンショナ摩擦ダンピングを比率とともに定義することは常に可能である。あるデザインでは比率のみが定数であり、他では可変的である。
Claims (8)
- 原動プーリと従動プーリとの間に掛け回されるベルトと、
前記従動プーリに対してベルト弛緩側に係合し、所定のダンピング率を有する第1テンショナと、
前記従動プーリに対してベルト緊張側に係合し、所定のダンピング率を有する第2テンショナと
を備えることを特徴とするベルト伝動システム。 - 従動補機に対してベルト弛緩側に第1テンショナを係合させる手段と、
前記従動補機に対してベルト緊張側に第2テンショナを係合させる手段と、
所定のエンジン速度範囲の外でベルトの動的張力が第2テンショナ摩擦ダンピングよりも小さく、前記第2テンショナが実質的に不動となるように、前記第2テンショナを調整する手段と、
前記所定のエンジン速度範囲内でベルトの動的張力が第2テンショナ摩擦ダンピングよりも大きく、前記第2テンショナがベルト伝動システムの振動を実質的に低減するように、前記第2テンショナを調整する手段と
を備えることを特徴とするベルト伝動システムの振動を調整する方法。 - ベルト伝動の第1共振周波数を所定のエンジン速度よりも低く設定する手段を備える請求項2に記載の方法。
- 更に、複数の従動補機を使用する手段を備え、各従動補機がプーリを備えることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 更に、他の従動プーリに比較して最大慣性モーメントを有する従動補機を選択する手段を備える請求項4に記載の方法。
- 更に、約600〜1400RPMの所定のエンジン速度範囲をもたせる手段を備える請求項5に記載の方法。
- 更に、前記第1テンショナに実質的に平坦な張力制御曲線を与える手段と、
前記第2テンショナに実質的に急勾配の張力制御曲線を与える手段と
を備える請求項2に記載の方法。 - 更に、約20%〜40%の範囲において前記第1テンショナにダンピング率を与える手段と、
約20%〜70%の範囲において前記第2テンショナにダンピング率を与える手段と
を備える請求項7に記載の方法。
