【解決手段】 負極活物質として亜鉛または亜鉛合金を包含する負極ゲル23を、セパレータ22を挟んで正極活物質21と対向させたアルカリ電池10において、上記負極ゲル23にキレート剤を添加する。

Description
H3-nN−(CH2−COOH)n(ただし、nは1,2,3のいずれか)
で示されるアミノカルボン酸またはその塩を用いたことを特徴とする手段(2)に記載のアルカリ電池。
(HOOC−CH2)x−NH2-x−CHR−CHR−NH2-y−(CH2−COOH)y(ただし、xは0,1,2のいずれかで、yは1,2のいずれかで、Rはプロトンまたはアルキル基)
で示されるアミノカルボン酸またはその塩を用いたことを特徴とする手段(2)に記載のアルカリ電池。
この系統(1)では、たとえば次のような物質がある。
n=1:H2N−CH2−COOHで示されるグリシン(GLY)、
n=2:HN−(CH2−COOH)2で示されるイミノ二酢酸(IDA)、
n=3:N−(CH2−COOH)3で示されるニトリロ三酢酸(NTA)。
この系統(2)では、たとえば次のような物質がある。
x=2,y=2,R=H:(HOOC−CH2)2−N−CH2−CH2−N−(CH2−COOH)2で示されるエチレンジアミン四酢酸(EDTA)。
x=2,y=2,R=CH2−CH2:(HOOC−CH2)2−N−(C6H10)−N−(CH2−COOH)2で示されるシクロヘキサンジアミン四酢酸(CyDTA)。

Claims (7)
- 負極活物質として亜鉛または亜鉛合金を包含する負極ゲルを、セパレータを挟んで正極活物質と対向させたアルカリ電池において、上記負極ゲルにキレート剤を添加したことを特徴とするアルカリ電池。
- キレート剤としてアミノカルボン酸を用いたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアルカリ電池。
- キレート剤として、
H3-nN−(CH2−COOH)n(ただし、nは1,2,3のいずれか)
で示されるアミノカルボン酸またはその塩を用いたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のアルカリ電池。 - キレート剤として、
(HOOC−CH2)x−NH2-x−CHR−CHR−NH2-y−(CH2−COOH)y(ただし、xは0,1,2のいずれかで、yは1,2のいずれかで、Rはプロトンまたはアルキル基)
で示されるアミノカルボン酸またはその塩を用いたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のアルカリ電池。 - キレート剤として、グリシン、イミノ二酢酸、ニトリロ三酢酸からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種またはその塩を用いたことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のアルカリ電池。
- キレート剤として、エチレンジアミン四酢酸、シクロヘキサンジアミン四酢酸からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種またはその塩を用いたことを特徴とする請求項4に記載のアルカリ電池。
- キレート剤を亜鉛に対して0.01〜1モル%の範囲で添加したことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のアルカリ電池。
