Abstract

Description
本発明は、GPS受信機と統合通信用受信機を有する移動システムである結合型装置を提供する。典型的な実施態様では、システムは、GPS信号を表すデータを受信するGPSアンテナを含むGPS受信機を備え、GPSアンテナに接続されてGPS信号を表すデータを受信し、少なくとも一つの実施態様では疑似距離情報を提供するため、その信号を処理するディジタル・プロセッサなどのプロセッサを含む。ディジタル・プロセッサなどのプロセッサは、通信リンクを通して受信した通信信号も処理し、したがってプロセッサは通常、結合型システムに送信される通信信号を復調する。この方法で、GPS信号および通信信号の処理が、2つの機能に共用されるプロセッサで実行される。

- 前記第1の周波数と前記第3の周波数の差が100MHzを超えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記最終周波数変換の後で、前記第2の周波数のGPS信号および前記第4の周波数のセルラー通信信号が前記共用RF/IF変換器でフィルタリングまたは増幅されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記共用RF/IF変換器が、前記RF GPS信号および前記RFセルラー通信信号の両方のために前記共用RF/IF変換器に共用信号経路を設けることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 共用アナログ/ディジタル(A/D)変換器で、前記共用RF/IF変換器からの前記第2の周波数のGPS信号をディジタルGPS信号に変換するステップと;
前記共用A/D変換器で、前記共用RF/IF変換器からのセルラー通信信号をディジタル・セルラー通信信号に変換するステップとをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記共用RF/IF変換器が、(a)前記第1の周波数から前記第2の周波数に変換し;(b)前記第3の周波数から前記第4の周波数に変換するよう切換え可能に調整できることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記RFセルラー通信信号が、前記統合通信システムの視界内にあるGPS衛星のドップラー情報と前記統合通信システムの視界内にあるGPS衛星の天文暦を表すデータのうちの少なくとも一つを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- セルラー通信システムに接続されたグローバル・ポジショニング・システム(GPS)受信機を有する統合通信システムにおいて:
RF GPS信号を受信し、またRFセルラー通信信号を受信するために接続された共用無線周波数(RF)/中間周波数(IF)変換器であって、前記RF GPS信号を第1の周波数から前記第1の周波数よりも低い第2の周波数に変換し、また前記RFセルラー通信信号を第3の周波数から前記第3の周波数よりも低い第4の周波数に変換する共用周波数変調器を有する共用RF/IF変換器を備えることを特徴とする統合通信システム。 - 前記共用周波数変調器が、前記RFセルラー通信信号および前記RF GPS信号を受信するための第1の入力部と、少なくとも1つの基準信号を受信するための第2の入力部と、IF GPS信号を前記GPS受信機に提供し、またIFセルラー通信信号を前記セルラー通信システムに提供するための出力部とを有することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の統合通信システム。
- 前記共用周波数変調器が、前記RF GPS信号および前記RFセルラー通信信号の両方に関して最終周波数変換を実行することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の統合通信システム。
- 前記IF GPS信号を受信し、また前記IFセルラー通信信号を受信するために前記共用RF/IF変換器に接続された共用アナログ/ディジタル(A/D)変換器であって、前記IF GPS信号を、前記GPS受信機で処理するためのディジタルGPS信号に変換し、また前記IFセルラー通信信号を、前記セルラー通信システムで処理するためのディジタル・セルラー通信信号に変換する共用A/D変換器をさらに備える請求項10に記載の統合通信システム。
- 前記共用周波数変調器が、(a)前記第1の周波数から前記第2の周波数に変換し、(b)前記第3の周波数から前記第4の周波数に変換するよう切換え可能に調整できることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の統合通信システム。
- 前記RFセルラー通信信号が、前記統合通信システムの視界内にあるGPS衛星のドップラー情報と前記統合通信システムの視界内にあるGPS衛星の天文暦を表すデータのうちの少なくとも一つを含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の統合通信システム。
- セルラー通信システムに接続されたグローバル・ポジショニング・システム(GPS)受信機を有する統合通信システムにおいて:
GPS信号を受信し、またセルラー通信信号を受信するために接続された共用アナログ/ディジタル(A/D)変換器であって、前記GPS信号を、前記GPS受信機で処理するためのディジタルGPS信号に変換し、また前記セルラー通信信号を、前記通信システムで処理するためのディジタル・セルラー通信信号に変換する共用A/D変換器を備えることを特徴とする統合通信システム。 - 前記ディジタル・セルラー通信信号を受信するために前記共用A/D変換器に接続されており、前記ディジタル・セルラー通信信号を復調するディジタル信号プロセッサ(DSP)をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の統合通信システム。
- 前記DSPが前記ディジタルGPS信号を受信し、処理することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の統合通信システム。
- 統合通信システムでグローバル・ポジショニング・システム(GPS)機能およびセルラー通信機能を実行する方法において:
共用回路構成でGPS信号およびセルラー通信信号を処理するステップであって、前記GPS信号の最終周波数変換の後、および前記セルラー通信信号の最終周波数変換の後であり、前記GPS信号のディジタル化の前、および前記セルラー通信信号のディジタル化の前に、前記GPS信号および前記セルラー通信信号のメッセージ内容を決定するために実行される共用回路構成で前記処理するステップを含むことを特徴とする方法。
