Abstract
Description
− 強く酸化させるラジカルとイオンとが、正孔−電子対の作用によって表面に生成され、それらが表面に付着する物質の酸化剤として機能する、
− また、表面エネルギを親水性と疎水性との間で調節することが可能であり、たとえば、表面の親水性を高められることが可能であり、引出されている紙ウェブの剥離が容易になる。
図1は抄紙機または板紙抄紙機のプレス部を示しており、該プレス部において、湿紙または板紙ウェブWを、第1プレスニップPを介し、プレスの中央ロール3に導くためにプレスフェルト1が利用される。ウェブWは回転する中央ロール3の外周上を、ガイドロール2と第2プレスフェルト1と中央ロール3との間に形成される第2プレスニップPまで移動する。中央ロール3上で、ウェブは、ニップPを過ぎた後、ロール表面上を一定の距離移動し、その後点Kで剥離され、第2ガイドロール4まで接触せずに引出されて移動する。中央ロール3の外周面は、一定の長さの範囲内でウェブWに接触しており、光触媒活性材料を含む。ロール表面にこの材料を備えることが可能な方法については後述する。ロール3の自由部分の位置に、言い換えれば、外周面がウェブWに覆われない位置に、適切な波長の電磁放射線をロール3の外周面に作用させる光源5があり、外周面上の被膜の光触媒活性化を達成する。ウェブWの剥離点Kの後方で、ロール3の回転方向かつ光源5の作用が及ぶ範囲の前方に、ロール表面をクリーニングする1個または複数個のドクターブレード6がある。
・表面上にそれぞれ、ドナー分子および受容体分子を伴う正孔および電子によって生じる酸化反応および還元反応。前者の例では、水からのヒドロキシルラジカルおよび水素イオン(OH+H+)の形成、後者の例では、酸素分子からのスーパーオキシドイオン(OO-)の形成。
・正孔とヒドロキシルラジカルとスーパーオキシドイオンとの作用による異物の酸化。
Claims (9)
- 移動する連続材料ウェブ(W)に接触する回転部材(3)の表面特性を調節する方法において、
材料ウェブ(W)に接触する回転部材(3)の表面は光触媒活性材料を含み、
光が、材料ウェブ(W)に接触する回転部材(3)の表面に向けられ、前記光は、光触媒活性材料を活性化可能なエネルギを有し、
光触媒活性材料の活性化によって、回転部材(3)の表面上にある物質の酸化および/または表面の親水性特性の変化が生じることを特徴とする回転部材(3)の表面特性を調節する方法。 - 活性化は、回転部材(3)がウェブに接触して生産速度で回転するときになされることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 活性化は、回転部材(3)がウェブに接触して、または接触せずに、生産速度よりも低速で回転するときになされることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 連続材料ウェブ(W)の回転部材(3)の表面からの剥離は、光の強度によって制御されることを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。
- 移動する連続材料ウェブ(W)の回転部材(3)の表面からの剥離点(K)または剥離角度(α)は、監視され、設定値と比較され、その差に基づいて光の強度が調節されることを特徴とする請求項4記載の方法。
- 回転部材(3)は、抄紙機または板紙抄紙機のロールであり、連続材料ウェブは、紙または板紙のウェブであることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 回転部材(3)は、抄紙機または板紙抄紙機のプレス部のロールであることを特徴とする請求項6記載の方法。
- 光は紫外光であることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 光を生成する光源(5)は、回転部材の回転軸方向において前後に移動されることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
